We had the best week at The Barn, stunning location and central to some lovely walks. The accommodation on arrival was fantastic, such a high standard of finish and couldnt fault a thing. Our stay at Tyn Llwyn Barn was perfect! On arrival we were greeted by Bethan who has been a fabulous host so friendly and helpful. We were left a hamper basket with a range of items which was much appreciated. The property is immaculate you can tell the owners take great pride in it. We loved that there were TVs in every room so no one fights over what to watch! Each room is so cosy, with a ensuite bathroom which was luxury, especially the bath tub in one of the rooms! The view from the lounge upstairs, is truly breathtaking you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. We had thick snow during our stay and Bethan asked us if we needed anything from the shops due to unable to go out for a few days. But this didnt hinder the stay it was very cosy and we enjoyed sitting in the lounge playing quizzes! We had another guest arrival and due to the snow there car overturned however Bethans Husband Huw helped us out with no bother and got them back on the road which we are very grateful for. Although the weather was very cold we still made use of the hot tub, the views when sat in the hot tub are amazing. There are plenty of places nearby to explore and plenty of shops. We really loved our stay and will come back in a heartbeat. Only tip for future guests would be just to open the gates just before you accelerate to get in as this will help you a lot. Take it steady up the hill and down as it is steep but if you take it steady youll get up and down with no issues.

This is a stunning property with some wonderful places and sights to see. Everything about the property is brilliant.Drive up to it is a bit scary but take it steady and it isn't a problem.

What a beautiful property. Thank you so much . Bethan made us a vegan hamper . We weren't expecting anything . I informed her before hand we were vegan as I didn't want to waste normal stuff and she went to the trouble to cater for us . So clean and comfortable. The vale of Llangollen is super beautiful but sitting in the living room of the property I felt I was in an eagles eyrie . Loved it so much I have rebooked for next year .

Love this holiday home. Me, my partner and the dog stopped here for a week. The place was beautiful, full equipped with everything you need. Washing machine dryer dish washer and shower bath. A beautiful big hot tub with a view on the field. A lovely view in the living room upstairs where you can look for miles. A lovely hamper was left. We loved the lemon drizzle cake. We felt like we were at home. The beds were comfortable as well. A truly stunning place to stay. We made use of the kitchen and cooked at home. Aldi was 10 minutes away from us where we got everything we needed for the week. It was a pleasure been in Wales looking at beautiful scenery all around. We'll come and visit again in the future.

What a lovely property in a stunning location, I cant flaw a single thing! After a week of waking up to that view I still wasnt over it. Checkin was easy, a welcome box was left as a gesture, the place was absolutely gleaming and it was nice toasty when we arrived which was greatly appreciated on such a cold day.

Beautiful property super clean and lovely setting. Heating went off because of power cut in the night owners fixed it in 30 mins superb.

This is the best holiday let weve ever stayed in. Its just off the A5, up in the hills with easy to follow instructions on where to find it. It was beautifully clean with lots of lovely quality touches. There was milk, branded tea, coffee and biscuits, fresh flowers and a bottle of bubbles to celebrate just getting married. Its light and airy. The views from the upstairs living room where amazing especially with the changing weather. Its quiet, private and very peaceful. The enclosed garden is great for dog owners. Its so close to lots of great walking, castles and history. There are plenty of local facilities, great pubs and restaurants all very close between Corwen and Llangollen. Gorgeous barn, stunning views and super hot tub! Bethan was so helpful and friendly, she made us feel so welcome. We had everything we needed in the barn plus a little bit more, the welcome pack was a lovely touch. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, which stretched out as far as the eye could see. Wonderful property fitted out to a very high standard, very clean and comfortable. Magnificent views through the large picture window in the living area. The property is situated on the side of a steep hill which means walking outdoors can be challenging for some. Also close to Llangollen which offers several nice restaurants.

Spectacular views from an absolutely amazing cottage ! We have stayed in lots of places but this is my absolute favourite! The pictures look amazing but the reality is even better. We had the most amazing holiday at Tyn Llwyn Barn. This was our first holiday with our 7 month old daughter and it could not have been more perfect. The view is absolutely stunning, and although it looks good in the photos it is even better in real life. It was a great base for exploring the area, and perfect to come back to after a long walk with the dogs. We really enjoyed watching the sheep and cows run down past the house in the morning when the farmer came to feed them. We will definitely be coming back, as we found this house very family friendly. We had a high chair and travel cot which was available upon request and there are already retractable stair gates installed which is great for young children and dogs. Ive already recommended this hidden gem to many family and friends who are keen to visit. Thank you to Bethan, our lovely host, who made our first holiday as a family very special.

The Wharf is situated in the peaceful market town of Llangollen - now part of a World Heritage Site. Horse Drawn Boat Trips are available along the feeder for the main canal and are a unique way to explore the area. Motorised Aqueduct Cruises are also on offer for those who prefer a slightly faster pace. Both trips allow visitors to take in all the magnificent sites of Llangollen Canal.

Pen-Y-Ffrith Bird Garden - LL11 3AB

Pen-Y-Ffrith Bird Garden is an 18 acre site, filled with glorious woodland, dramatic gardens, streams, ponds and a 3 acre lake. As the seasons change so do the delights of the park. During springtime the bluebell woods are spectacular while in the summer the bog garden is a favourite attraction with some unusual displays of flora and fauna. In the autumn a walk through the ravine with its flowing waterfalls in not to be missed. There are also several yearly events to enjoy including the Bat walk in September.

Wepre Country Park is home to one of the largest play areas in Wales and is perfect for a fun family day out during the summer months. The site has miles of attractive woodland to be explored and cycling and nature trails are very popular ways to see the best of the area. The grounds of the historic estate also have beautiful gardens with stunning floral displays and there is plenty of open space for children to play. An annual events programme ensures that seasonal activities take place regularly including spooky Halloween Walks, Christmas Carol Singing and Ranger led events. There is also a visitor's centre with a small shop.

St Winefride's Well - CH8 7PN

St Winefride's Well in Flintshire is described at one of the 7 wonders of Wales and is shrouded in mystery and intrigue. Legend has it that the well first erupted at the spot where Caradog cut off the nuns head with his sword. The shrine was then erected in her memory in the first decade of the sixteenth century and remains one of the holiest places in Wales. The stunning temple and well attract visitors from all over the world. Water can be drawn from the spring basin within the crypt and is thought to be lucky.

This National Trust site is one of the finest in Wales. The stunning castle was once a medieval fortress and has been remodelled several times over the last 400 years. The Great Hall is home to some amazing collections of paintings as well as sculptures and tapestries. The gardens are world famous with stunning areas of French and Italian style as well as a gorgeous orangery. Children's activities can be enjoyed during school holidays and on special occasions such as Halloween and Christmas.
