Y Felin Reviews

Richard
We loved the cottage and the hot tub was a fantastic bonus. It was our first holiday in Wales since we moved to Wales a year ago. The only issue had was with the cottage information booklet. It needs to be updated as still contains conflicting information about COVID rules and the checking out process was not clear. The recycling info with regards to the bins and bin man dates did not agree with what was onsite.
Therese
On the whole a very comfortable cottage. The beds were very comfy. The facilities were good however, the toilet wouldnt flush properly and on 2 occasions it became blocked. The iron lead needs attention as it was showing bare wires. We did what the instructions asked us to do and put the bins and recycling out and it stayed out for a week. When the bins were collected they completely ignored ours and we couldnt not fit anymore rubbish in it. It was almost full when we arrived so maybe the owner needs to speak to the refuge collectors. Otherwise we had a very restful stay at this property.
After a 2 day family wedding nearby, it was just lovely to relax and chill at the cottage for the week. A lovely, clean and well equipped cottage. Hot tub was a bonus to take in the quiet and peacefulness with added wildlife noises day and night Bliss! Location is excellent to adventure out to the local shops and pubs of cardigan, llangrannog and Newquay child and dog friendly beaches with an added boat trip out to see the Dolphins and sea pups. A Big Thank you to the owner for sending back my toiletries bag.
Richard
Loved the cottage. Delivered more than promised. Facilities were great. Good shower and kitchen well equipped. Hot tub was great although it did suggest it needed a deep clean as there were certainly marks left on the sides after use which we had to clean. Toilet bowl clunks when sitting on it and definitely needs a new tap in the bathroom. But these were niggly issues which didnt detract from the overall experience.we thought it was great and the secure garden was a bonus for the dog..
Great location! !! Too many things not quite right. Wc takes much too long to fill up , bathroom sink needs unblocking . Jacuzzi not cleaned as it should be lots of oil on surface , scummy around the sides . BQ not fit for purpose. Key safe didnt work and no spare key. Door was open when we arrived?? No one to meet us or pop in and check if everything was ok . Patio doors not fit for purpose.
We had such a lovely stay. Beds were really comfortable, the lounge has plenty of seating and the TV us huge. My other half was happy! The hot tub was a great bonus. I thought we would barely use it, but ended up using it every day. Looking out across the open fields from the Hot Tub was actually a highlight of the whole place. We had to head back early for personal reasons, but we still squeezed in loads. We saw Dolphins at New Quay, ate at the local Pizza Tipi, headed into Aberystwyth for a bit of retail therapy. Saw seals from the cliffs at the Cardigan Coastal Farm park. Hope to return one day!
Joanne
Lovely cottage, well maintained and ideally located. Very peaceful, lovely beaches nearby.

Property was exactly how we expected it. It was spacious and had everything that we needed, the view from the garden was perfect and when you were sitting outside it felt as if we were a million miles from anywhere. We will look to book again next year.

Excellent in every way. Would be difficult to find a fault. Very clean. Lovely comfortable beds. Plenty of space. Log burner was easy to use, clean and worked well. Hot tub was a bonus which also was easy to use. Car parking and access to rear good. We very much enjoyed the cottage, Cardigan town and the area and we will definitely book again

Lovely property, in ideal location. It was so quiet and peaceful, yet a short walk from supermarkets. Cardigan itself is only about 15 minutes walk. The property had everything we could possibly need including a very handy warm utility room for drying wet dog towels and a lovely hot tub, We didnt really want to come home.
Beautifully presented cottage in a lovely location, exceeded our expectations. Host contactable and helpful. Excellent facilities
Had a fabulous stay at y felin, quiet and private yet 5 mins from shops. Gorgeous place to explore and beautiful cottage to return too.
Lovely peaceful rural cottage with good facilities and pleasant decor. Very convenient for a supermarket and short drive to a dog friendly beach at Aberporth. Efficient hot tub and good sized secure ,secluded garden for the dog. The view from the garden was great for spotting birds and other wildlife.
Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings, loved the open plan set up which meant we were all together much of the time. Supermarkets very near by. Ideally placed for exploring, many attractions within 35 miles but if youre not looking to travel the beaches nearby are gorgeous.
The holiday was fantastic, the property was amazing it had everything we could have wished for and more. The location was perfect nice and peiceful ,but within easy reach of everything.
Stayed there with family over Christmas 2021. The cottage was decorated for the holiday period and felt very warm and cosy. It is actually much nicer than portrayed in the pictures. Beautifully clean, extremely well equipped with all you could need. Had a slight problem with the hot water on Boxing Day, but the ownermanager got in touch with us an sorted it out within about an hour, so it didnt spoil the trip in any way. The hot tub was ready to use and we absolutely loved it. The whole thing was perfect. Great location, feels like out in the country, but just a short walk into Cardigan. Very near to a couple of large supermarketspetrol etc. Fantastic beaches and places to visit within a short drive. A perfect Christmas break. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.
The property was outstanding. Clean, fresh, lovely positioned, everything and more you could ask for. Would definitely book this beautiful cottage again.
Its a beautiful cottage in a peaceful location but close to Cardigan Centre. The hot tub is lovely and a welcome retreat after a day of sightseeing. Highly recommended
We had a fantastic stay in this lovely cottage. The location is perfect with great views. The hot tub was amazing. We would definitely stay again.
Christine
A fabulous place to recharge your batteries, found it difficult to eat out in ... A fabulous place to recharge your batteries, found it difficult to eat out in the evening so must book, think it might be easier once covid restrictions are lifted, some beautiful beaches in the area, seemed to spend a lot of time in the car but well worth it, the cottage was perfect added bonus having a hot tup
Jacqui
A wonderful gem of a cottage on the outskirts of Cardigan. The cottage is home from home with all the comforts you would need. Clean, spacious, bright and homely set on a beautiful rural lane with easy access to the town. The hot tub was a real hit too. A good secure garden for the dog too, although she was able to escape under the drive gateway until we barricaded it. Thank you for a super stay!
Catherine
Ffion was a lovely host and the cottage was wonderful. Hot tub was great! Fantastic location x
Tracey
Beautiful spot close enough to facilities but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful
Y Felin is in a very quiet, peaceful location despite being only a 15 minute walk into town 20 mins to a really good pizza eatery by the river, via a shortcut just up the lane, and a supermarket with petrol just a 2 min drive away. We experienced a generally wet and very cool week but the heating was easy to operate and made the cottage very cosy indeed for the 2 of us. What's more, the owner has thought of everything you might need during your stay, even down to a selection of games for a rainy day. And the jewel in the crown is the private hot tub, which was idyllic and a great bonus to come home to at the end of the day.
A lovely, clean and modern cottage in a great place to access everywhere easily. Lots of beautiful places in the area and lovely places to eat. Only negative was the droning noise of the hot tub at night kept me awake
