Talarddu Cottage

What a fabulous property and a fabulous host, nothing was too much trouble, we were incredibly grateful for the owners generosity wonderful welcome pack amongst other things. The house is perfect for large familyfriends gatherings and the hot tub was a real hit despite the constant rain we had. There was a real sense of peace at the property and we didnt venture far due to the weather so this was crucial. Highly recommended. From the booking aspect, this was simple and easy with clear payment deadlines and sufficient information regarding directions and the access to the property.

Beautiful house, spotlessly presented. The family had a great 7 day stay over Christmas and the ten of us enjoyed all aspects of the house. The hot tub was used daily and was a highlight of the holiday. The owner was very helpful indeed and should be proud of what he and his family are offering. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful house. We were a group of 10 and we had a fantastic time. We even made a Xmas dinner there. The house is gorgeous with everything you need, comfortable beds, plenty of space and lovely touches to make it like home. The hot tub is the icing on the cake. Thank you for all your help Steve.

This is an absolutely beautiful property that has been built to a very high standard with nothing left out. It was comfortable and had everything we needed for a lovely week away. The surroundings are lovely and Steve was an excellent host and was extremely helpful. Highly recommended!!!

Just got back after an amazing week in Talarddu 22 September 8 adults and 2 children and 2 dogs in the end, the cottage is a little awkward to find only if you ignore the directions that's on the key collection email, i would suggest you have a look on google street view so you know where to turn off the main road, the cottage is amazing it has plenty of parking and sits in a very large plot and the rear area where the covered hot tub is fenced off so you can let the dogs off, the hot tub sits under cover as well as the large seating area and table, hot tub is a big one with plenty of seats, fence is about 4 feet high so a determined dog will get out, if you go through the gate there is a small stream down the bank, dogs loved it, the area is very quiet. Once inside the property you soon become aware that its been well furnished with quality items, one large lounge with plenty of seating and a large screen tv, go through the double doors at the end of the lounge and there is a little snug with 2 sofas and a tv all tvs have Sky Q boxes and the internet speed was 40Meg, head out the door into the hall there is a cupboard under the stairs with ironing board hoover ect, also in the hall is access to the wet room and toilet which we used after being in the hot tub, next door is the very large kitchen, also with a tv kitchen has all you need, plenty of utensils, plates cups glasses, access to the rear area is via either the patio doors in the kitchen or through the utility room which has washing machine, tumble dryer, sink. on the first floor there are four double bedrooms one with ensuite and a main bathroom, beds were very comfy and the views from the windows were stunning, on the next floor there are a further two double rooms and another bathroom. wooden floors throughout with the exception of the stairs which were carpeted. The owner and his wife met us about an hour of arriving just to show us the hot tub and asked if we needed anything, Steve the owner then explained he would be coming every day at about 7am to do the hot tub but that he leaves his van down the lane and walks up so he doesn't disturb us, its touches like that, that show how much the owners want you to have an excellent break. We organised 2 Tesco deliveries one for the day we got there and one on the Tuesday, first one was a bit late but not a problem at all. Two places near by, Builth wells and Llandrindod wells both very nice with cafes and pubs also there is a swimming baths in builth wells which when the children are in school is pretty much empty. We had an amazing break and met some very nice people, the local farmer Craig gave my grandson a lift on his quad and even had the air ambulance land in the garden, birds of prey gliding over property, i normally don't go back to a property, but everyone in the group has said that they'd love to go back. We loved our stay at Talarddu Cottage for a belated 30th surprise weekend. The bedrooms were beautiful and beds were very comfortable. Everything was clean and very well presented. Would definitely recommend Thank you

We all loved our stay in this beautiful house. Would definitely come back again. The only one suggestion would be to have summer duvets during summer as it does get really warm in the night but other than that it was perfect for us all and the dogs.

A fantastic house in a stunning location. Landlord Steve met us on arrival and was an absolute gent, made sure all of our needs were attended to throughout our stay. We're already looking forward to our next stay, cannot recommend highly enough.

Absolutely perfect , the house is beautifully decorated with every thing you could possibly need. The beds were comfy ,the lovely large kitchen diner perfect for a family meal The hot tub was the icing on the cake ,peaceful and relaxing in beautiful surroundings Many thanks to Steve for his warm welcome and help

What a fantastic property We met Steve the owner tending to the exception grounds when we arrived and received a warm welcome. The property is simply stunning and finished to the highest order and needing nothing else, the grounds are stunning and the jacuzzi was a welcome relief at the end of the day. The location is peaceful and easy to find and at night you have an unspoilt view of the stars with no light pollution. We had a most enjoyable stay and will be returning

We love every minute of it! Talarddu Cottage is a perfect and incredible home away from home. Everything you need for a perfect retreat to relax and unwind with love ones. We cannot wait to go back. Plus, Steve has been a brilliant host.

This cottage was amazing, I would give 10 stars if I could. There were 12 of us and place was very spacious. Exceptionally clean and decor tasteful, nothing was forgotten. We had the most gorgeous stay in your cottage. Every aspect was so lovely. So much so that we booked to stay again! The cottage was just the right size and layout for a party of 11. We never felt cramped or crowded , and the kitchen area is a super space for all to be in. The hot tub was a luxurious bonus!!! Very well maintained whilst we were staying too! The cottage really is in such a relaxing place sheep, birds and quiet! Fabulous! Maybe the option of a thinner duvets might be useful? Lovely and cosy for the winter but quite warm from spring onwards! Thank you so much for a truly lovely stay for our family. The dog absolutely loved it too! Such a good idea to have the gated area to the side of the cottage so the dog doesnt run off!! Five star

What a beautiful house. Every comfort thought of. We had a five day stay with all the family together 11 of us. It was the perfect house for us all to be together with plenty of room for us to spread out if needed. The house was beautifully clean, all the furniture was comfortable and beds and bedding was of a superb quality. Part of the garden around the hot tub and patio was fenced in so perfectly secure for the dog and small kids if they were with you but so much more garden with a stream at the bottom made it a beautiful setting with sheep and lambs in the field behind. Each bedroom was tastefully decorated, the sitting room was so comfortable and spacious and the massive kitchen had everything we could have possibly needed with lots of extras certainly not expected. We would certainly return, the best property we have ever stayed in. Just wished we had been there longer to have done more exploring. The owner was there when we arrived, such a nice guy who was so helpful. He came every morning to check on the hot tub but we never heard him, very discreet. All in all a fantastic week had in a house I couldnt recommend highly enough. Thank you

Lovely large home in quiet and beautiful surroundings. The gardens and hot tub were wonderful, and there are some fantastic walks nearby. Steve was super friendly and helpful but at the same time went out of his way not to intrude on our holiday. We are already thinking of returning!

Stayed in lots of places like this over the years and I have to say this is my favourite. Beautiful house, clean and comfortable! We came and celebrated the New Year with some friends and had an absolutely brilliant time. Cannot wait to come back! Thank you for a brilliant time!

Excellent stay over Christmas 2022. The cottage is so spacious and was perfect for our extended family and German Shepherd. Steve the owner is excellent and goes above and beyond. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Steve for a memorable stay.

Beautiful house with lovely grounds and a gorgeous hot tub. Very quiet and relaxing stay. Lovely touches. Xmas decorations, plenty of toilet rolls and things to hand that you forget to take. Like salt and pepper. The owner Steve welcomed us and came around to test the hot tub. Best Xmas weekend away with friends at a perfect place. Thank you Steve.

The house was perfect for our family get together. Beautifully furnished, it was clean, comfortable and spacious. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a days walking and exploring the area. Our dogs loved the large garden for ball chasing. We all had a great time and will definitely be back. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

The accommodation was absolutely stunning. The property was completely private and amazingly clean. There was plenty of space for our party of 11 and the hot tub was a fantastic touch. The area itself was lovely but the property really made the holiday special.

Just returned following a great week away in this amazing house . The owners have created a fabulous superbly furnished home that made our holiday a great success. The house was well equipped with all you need for self catering . The covered hot tub seating area and the enclosed garden area ensured that our dogs and and children were kept safe. This house is amazing. A weekend full of laughter and fun with friends. The location is fantastic with amazing views across the countryside. The outdoor space was amazing for the children to play freely and the dog to safely explore within the enclosed garden. The inside of the house is spotless and the decor is amazing. Steve the owner of this cottage was very helpful throughout our stay. Would highly recommend this cottage and we are looking forward to getting it booked up again

We chose this cottage for our annual get together of three families with 2 young kids each, as we always need a big place and this fit the bill perfectly! The super friendly owners were very helpful and accommodating throughout. The cottage itself was incredible spacious, well laid out and provisioned, amazing outside areas with a great hot tub! that were safe for the kids. All in all, couldnt find any fault with it at all, highly recommended!

All I can say is WOW! This property is incredible, gorgeous inside and out and the owner is incredibly helpful throughout the duration of your stay! The location is serene and the outdoor hot tub bbq area is a real showstopper element of the property! Inside everything has been thought of, the decor is gorgeous and I simply cant stress how clean the cottage is too! You will not be disappointed with this house, its easily the best we have had ever stayed in! We loved it and cant wait to book again, what a find!!! Make the booking, I cant recommend it enough!

This is one of the best cottage we have visited so far.

We spent 4 wonderful days at this lovely home from home from 19th to 22nd August. We were a party of twelve with ages from 3 up to 60 and the property catered for us all so well. The outdoor space is brilliant to keep dogs and young kids safe, while older kids played football on the outer paddockgarden area. We adults played in the hot tub where we felt safer

The property was exceptional, comfortable and we all loved staying here. The house had everything we needed for our stay and we all loved the hot tub. Perfect quiet location but near to so many wonderful places to visit.

A fantastic location for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The house was thoughtfully designed and with 6 double bedrooms made an ideal base for our family gettogether. A well equipped kitchen made life easy especially with all the little extras that often get forgotten. The enclosed garden was wonderful for our greyhound and the field down to the stream great to take her for a quick walk. Relaxing in the hottub just completed the luxurious feeling and ambience of our holiday. Many thanks to Steve, the owner, for meeting us on our arrival. We may well be back.
