The Hayloft Reviews

Robert
Beautiful property, a great space for a group. The open plan space downstairs is very cool. Really lovely views out the front from the hot tubpatio and sitting room. The owner lives in the nearby farm and was very responsive to our requests.
Second time of being here, wow what a amazing place, the property still gives you the wow factor when you arrive, and the views are totally amazing. Love the peace and tranquillity here, but the closeness to places. Highly recommend The Hayloft, and the owners Melissa and Matt, nothing is to much trouble for them
Helena

We had a fantastic stay at The Hayloft. It's a great house clean, warm and very well furnished and equipped. We absolutely loved the view from the big window daffodils, lambs and rolling countryside. Just lovely. Communication with Melissa & Matt was excellent they're great hosts.

Such a beautiful house! Very clean and lovely. The hot tub was clean and warm. The view is breath taking! Was beautiful waking up and seeing sheep in the field! Can't wait to book again. Highly recommended. Beautiful breath taking walks and lovely pubs locally. Definitely recommended to friend and family
We had a wonderful time at the Hayloft. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. We had quality family time making memories. All the facilities were very well thought of and implemented. There were elements of wear and tear in the showers and dining chairs, however that said it wasn't a problem for us as we felt it was a small detail in the grand scheme of the whole package. I would definitely recommend and would certainly not hesitate to revisit in the future. Thank you Matt and Melissa
This was a truly magnificent building with unbelievable views! The host was very good and was easily contactable as well as recommending some lovely things to do. Amazing walks and couldnt ask for anything more. Would highly recommend!

The house is lovely and is set in beautiful surroundings, the facilities are great, beds very comfortable and towels provided, both for the hot tub and normal showering. The downside is, its just down hill from a farm, which stinks, a normal farm with normal farm smells wouldn't be so bad, but the smell is really really strong. This means that there is an abundance of flies everywhere, the house is full of them, it made cooking in the kitchen really difficult as the flies landed on everything, more than 30 buzzing around. There were dead flies under the bed, I counted 20 under mine. it really spoiled the stay. The hot tub was lovely and warm, but hadn't been cleaned properly and a previous guest had obviously got in with fake tan or something and there was a greasy scum around the top of the hot tub and brown foam when you put the bubbles on. The hot tub wasn't ready when we arrived, but if it had been clean we wouldn't have minded so much. It was sorted during Saturday and that was much better. There is a fire pit, but could really do with a BBQ, this was raised by a guest in 2017 so hasn't been addressed. Getting a taxi anywhere is a no go, but the owner organised a very lovely man with a mini bus to take us into the nearest town so we could have a meal and the local pub, we then had to ring him and he picked us up. Fantastic service and only 20 each way, although we paid him 50 because he was great. If you could pick the house up and put it a bit further away from the farm then this is the most amazing place. But marred by flies

Amazing property with views to match. Caters for all ages. Lots to see and do. Melissa was very accommodating and helpful with any queries. Everyone enjoyed their stay, young and old. We will definitely book again.

Beautiful property in a stunning location. The host was great and gave us a beautiful welcome platter of local treats! Couldnt have asked for a better property to celebrate a birthday with friends.
Beautiful holiday home and lovely hosts! Thank you!!
A group of us met at The Hayloft for a long weekend. This was our second visit and we thoroughly enjoyed it as much as the first time. The property is in a superb location with truly beautiful uninterrupted views. The property has a lovely restful feel to it and is clean, very well equipped and the welcome basket was very much appreciated. It was wonderful to be able to catch up with friends sitting under the stars in the hot tub.Altogether a lovely place to visit and very friendly but not intrusive owners.Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Joanne

This was the second time for us at 'The Hayloft' and we had another wonderful stay. The property is a really high standard, spacious and set in some stunning countryside. There are lots of walks to appreciate the countryside and the hot tub is a great way to finish off the day. The owners are a lovely family Matt & Melissa are very accommodating and personable making sure you enjoy your stay. They even took time out of their busy day to bring some lambs down from the farm for the children to feed. We will definitely visit again.
Thomas
A beautifully well presented and spacious barn conversion, that came fully equipped for a comfortable self contained holiday. Situated within stunning welsh countryside close to wonderful local walks and the Elan Valley. The hosts were welcoming and provided valuable local knowledge for local beauty spots worthy of a visit. Highly recommended for a family getaway!
The Hayloft was an outstanding house to stay in. The views were absolutely amazing! Melissa was very helpful with any questions we had and replied straight away. We loved it that much that we have decided to book again next year!
The facilities are wonderful and the space is exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hayloft is very isolated but if you want peace and quiet it is perfect. However flies continue to be an issue that slightly spoil the holiday.
Graham
We were looking for a quiet getaway
Glenys
Melissa and Matt responded quickly when we had a problem. Excellent hosts
Tracey
The hayloft was absolutely lovely and complete met our expectations. We stayed whilst storm ciara raged around us! There were a few leaks in the window frame that we informed the owners about, but they said it was the worst storm ever! Didnt get to use the hot tub due to the storm either. The welcome hamper was a nice touch and the cake was amazing!
Comfortable, warm and accommodating.
Nicola
We loved our visit, this this the second NEw year stay for us and we loved it. The home made lemon drizzle cake and welcome basket is a lovely touch. Matt and melissa just cant do enough for you nothing is too much trouble. Its a lovely quiet comfortable stay, our little ones loved playing out on the driveway on Their scoter and Go Carts too. The hot tub kept the older ones entertained too
Fantastic property, I would highly recommend. We will definitely be back
Justina
The Hayloft is a stunning property, the views are gorgeous. Definitely what we needed to get away, relax and spend time together. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return in the future.
Stacey
What a beautiful place the Hayloft is the pictures dont even do it justice. eight adults went for my husbands 40th birthday. the owners were so helpful beforehand sending me links to local golf clubs and activities locally. they even arranged for a local caterer to come and cook for us on the Saturday evening. the house is stunning and the views are just lovely. would recommend this house to anyone.
Katherine
A lovely property which was a perfect base for our group of friends celebrating a birthday. They had everything you could need and were on hand to fix any issues we had. Really liked the welcome gifts too such a nice touch! Amazing views when relaxing in the hot tub. Only one downside there were quite a lot of flies and daddy long legs but as you are in the middle of the country they are to be expected I guess. Would definitely recommend 5 stars. Thank you.
We spent a lovely week at The Hayloft with 7 adults and 1 toddler! The views were spectacular, and it was lovely to see the sheep and donkeys in the morning. Everything was clean and we were well catered for with everything in the house including hot tub towels, plenty of cooking equipment, laundry facilities, and a welcome hamper that was lovely to find upon our arrival! The wifi was a little patchy and there was no phone service not a problem, but good to know so you can prepare beforehand if you want to e.g. look up places to go nearby! The house was gorgeous and we'd definitely recommend it!
The holiday accommodation was brilliant, exactly as we expected from the photos. The views were beautiful and far better than we could have imagined. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and the place was immaculate when we arrived. The only negative we would say about the accommodation is the shower in the main bathroom only produced scolding hot water and the temperature control did not alter the heat of the water coming out. As such none of us could shower in the main bathroom. This is a minor problem that can be easily rectified by a visit from the local plumber. We would also recommend some more comfortable seating are outside rather than just the picnic bench. Other than that the accommodation was excellent and perfect for a large family get away. We would definitely come back and would recommend to others.
Charlotte
A great location for a group holiday. Amazing views especially appreciated when in the hot tub. Lots of lawn for kids to run around in and plenty of space inside. The owners were absoutely lovely too.
Had an incredible weekend away, such a lovely property with an incredible view. Would love to stay again
Lovely house. Owners were very friendly and approachable. Beautiful views.
