Eggleston Reviews

Angela
Eggleston is a lovely spacious house great for family get togethers. We had a lovely week staying at the house and the kitchen was well equipped which as a nice change to other houses that don't seem to expect you to cook. Some of the furniture is becoming tired e.g. broken arm on the 2 seater settee but the house was well equipped with books and games although we had taken our own. The link with Great Newsome Brewery was good and the cases of beer we ordered on click and collect were delivered ready for the start of our stay. The biggest downside to the house was the appalling wifi which frustrated everyone and the mobile signal was also poor. There was an abundance of flies and we had to buy a fishing net to fish them out of the hot tub but I think that was due to us being on a farm and haymaking going on in neighbouring fields. The hot tub was a beautiful location to enjoy the sunsets and we were sorry that the outdoor dining wasn't in this section of the gardens. The dining room was particularly spacious making it good for large groups. We very much enjoyed our stay.
We had an amazing week at Eggleston. So peaceful yet not too far from road networks to get out and about. Facilities great. Already booked to return next year.

Beautiful House, looks exactly like the photos in the most stunning location! 9 girls aged between 2940 had the most wonderful weekend here. Hot tub great size stunning views! Beds Extremely comfortable! Views Beautiful Few notes from me to guests arriving in the summer. 1. Bring Bug Spray, Cream or anything to try and prevent the insect bites Our group left with quite a few bites over the weekend but is to be expected given the location and we forgot bug spray! 2. The house does have quite a few insects inside Spidersbugsflysmoths etc which again didnt bother us and is to be expected but just to be mindful of anyone in your party has a phobia. 3.Sykes cottages listed checkin as 3pm however when we arrived we was told it was 4pm I would confirm before you arrive if your planning to get there for 3pm Overall, would recommend this property! And Would Definitely Stay Again! Xxx

Really enjoyed our stay, was plenty of room for all 10 of us to sit together and play card games etc. The property was clean and exactly as the photos showed! Would definitely recommend and will be back at some point!

The house is fantastic, everything exceeded our expectations. The rooms were super comfortable. The dining room was amazing, we could all eat together. Very doggie friendly. The hot tub is very much added luxury. The room sizes were fantastic. Can't wait to book for next year. Thank you for letting us book your beautiful house.
Beautiful property, super clean and very cosy. Highly recommend!

Lovely house and very helpful managerowner Thank you very much we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This cottage was all that we expected. It was light airy warm comfortable and quite charming. The bedrooms were an excellent size and very well furnished. The icing on the cake was the hot tub and the 2 open fires. Would highly recommend this cottage.
Eggleston was amazing. The house was just perfect for our party. Each bedroom was perfect. The kitchen and dining room was ideal. The living room was great for us all to sit together and have fun. Would love to stay again maybe Christmas time would be an excellent time to revisit as could imagine the house all decorated. Only issue we had was whilst we were all using both showers on the Saturday night they kept switching off and on ? Which was difficult when trying to all get ready. But would definitely recommend Eggleston, as it was just a wonderful stay.
We had such a wonderful stay at Eggleston! It was like a little sanctuary of peace and quiet! We loved the hot tub and most nights you could see the stars. The cottage was well equipped and close to some lovely places like spurn point and hornsea. Recommended beaches mappleton and spurn point. The space around the cottage was also amazing, beds very comfy and super spacious. Thanks for a fabulous bank holiday week
The house was excellent lots of room and easily accommodated nine of us. Very good location near the coast and very peaceful.

We had a lovely week the property was very clean and well maintained. The size and space was excellent for our large family group. We did have a problem with the tumble dryer which we couldn't seem to get working properly but it was not a major issue and certainly did not spoil our holiday. The owner came and topped up the hot tub with chemicals and she was very pleasant and checked if everything was OK. I would definitely recommend the property and if we were back in the area would stay again. The welcome basket was lovely and very much appreciated. We took lots of things like washing up liquid, foil, loo rolls etc but it was so well stocked we didn't need to. The brewery was also a big hit and several boxes made it home with us for friends and family. A wonderful holiday in a lovely setting. Thank you.

Amazing stay for a group of couples. This house had absolutely everything you could need and we loved every moment. We are already planning our next visit!
Sharon
We had a lovely week in this fabulous house. The views are amazing from every room. The hot tub is lovely to chill in. Plenty big enough for a group of 10 people. The house was clean and each bedroom is decorated beautifully. You do need to drive if you want to go out anywhere for food or drinks. We struggled to connect with the tv but this was not an issue for us this time. I would love to come back in the winter to just chill without needing to go out, so would need to be able to use the tv on this occasion for cosy nights in front of the fire with a film on. Would definitely recommend and would love to visit again! Thanks for having us in your beautiful house
Sophie
Came for a weekend away for my birthday and was no disappointed at all! The rooms are all a lot bigger than expected and the views from each room was incredible. The gardens were beautiful and big enough for us all to have a huge game of rounders. Anything you could need is there and if not Withernsea is only a 10 minute drive away, would definitely recommend taking a trip down there even just to see the beach, lighthouse, castle bits or just for the ice cream! The hosts of the house were nothing but kind and helpful, we couldnt have asked for a better weekend or a better place to stay!!!
Lorraine
Excellent property, extremely well equipped and owners very welcoming. Catherine was only a phone call away, if anything was needed. The welcome hamper was excellent, high quality and very thoughtful. Could not fault the house, very clean and of a very high standard.

We had a wonderful stay at Eggleston, the house is very spacious and comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable we did mean to check the mattress make to buy one for home but forgot, thats how comfortable we found the beds. The kitchen is really well equipped and the hot tub was a massive hit with the children, and much bigger than expected. The house was lovely and warm and the gardens are fantastic for both the kids and the dogs. We would definitely recommend the cottage and hope to return ourselves soon.
Beautiful house, really comfortable beds and lovely bedding, well equipped with ... Beautiful house, really comfortable beds and lovely bedding, well equipped with lots of little extras that where a lovely touch x
We had cars so location on it was great. Pub is nearby which is beneficial on other side. It was freezing outside but heater was good in house which helped to keep us warm. Owner don't disturb you like some of the other properties. like everything was on manual and you can contact owner What I didn't like?? Not sure but something was wrong with jacuzzi because temperature kept going lower so could enjoy much. And worst part is none of the door lock was working for bathroom. Like bro honestly he have to repair all the bathroom locks.

Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.

Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 23 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
