A truly beautiful and spacious wonderful place. It is much bigger than it looks on the photos. Very comfortable and stylish throughout. We enjoyed rotating around the different seating areas. The owners were lovely and extremely helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the friendly animals kept my son entertained for hours. Bonus for us is that it is wheelchair accessible which is fantastic. We loved the hot tub and truly hope to visit again in the future. 10 out of 10 from all of us.

A lovely place to spend the week, beautifully & thoughtfully furnished and designed, spacious, comfortable, lots of little extras. It is clear Zena has gone above and beyond to make a special place for guests. The clocks went back when we where there so it was darker earlier, but this made a lovely feel to the place in the evenings with the twinkly lights, especially relaxing in the hot tub. Big shout out goes to the dogs who kept us entertained& you couldnt help but fall in love with! Thankyou

Our one week stay at the Burlands was the perfect country getaway. Our host Zena left some delicious homemade scones, jam and cream upon arrival - a welcome treat after a long drive. The cottage itself is designed beautifully, has a spacious but cosy layout and the hot tub along with robes and slippers added a touch of luxe to our stay. The Burlodge is stunning, set in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. A lot of thought has clearly been put in to create a wonderful experience for guests. Welcoming and friendly host and not forgetting the daily greeting from our furry hosts Molly Holly, Bertie and Nigs which we loved. Hope to return again and wouldnt hesitate to recommend. Great location for exploring North Devon and lovely restaurants nearly. We would particularly recommend Maiden Arch restaurant in Barnstaple.

Cannot fault the accommodation. Everything you could possibly want or need was supplied. Including a Welcome Pack made up of homemade scones (delicious) with clotted cream and jam, along with tea bags and milk for that first welcomed cup of tea after travelling. Everything was beautiful clean and well presented.
Linda
This property is not only beautiful in every way, it is very relaxing and quiet for people like me who work hard throughout the year and want to chill somewhere in lovely surroundings. There is nothing negative to say about this property or its location. Our host was just lovely, not to mention the friendly dogs and cats who greet you whenever you enter through the gates. Every amenity is at your fingertips and those little special touches the owner provides make it even more special. Fabulous!

If you are going to visit North Devon, this is a wonderful option. It's a great location making Exmoor Park very accessible. It's near to the town of Barnstaple which has some bars for an evening out. The home itself was extremely clean and had a cosy homey feeling to it. There are animals on the property (dogs and kittens) I personally loved it an d found them extremely well behaved as well as affectionate. The property has all you could need and more, the host was also very helpful.

So many beautiful and unusual things to look at inside, from carvings, paintings, ornaments, furniture, wall hangings. Lots of little personal touches too, complimentary toiletries, a cream tea (deliciously made by Zena), fresh eggs, milk, water, and a box of choco lates too.
