We had a multi generation gathering at Croes Vaen to celebrate my 80th birthday - an amazing dog friendly property which we found to be faultless and so enjoyable for all concerned from comfy beds , games room, hot tub , sauna ( yes .. even in mid November ) .. memories were made !

This cottage was honestly the best I have stayed in. The location is so good, near some lovely walks and a very short drive into Monmouth. Croes Vaen is an idyllic home set in the gorgeous wye valley countryside and we couldn't have felt more at home! We absolutely loved the facilities here, especially the sauna and hot tub. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and communication was easy. We would definitely recommend staying here and we will be back for a future holiday!

Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. More than 7000 animals are resident in naturally themed habitats and you can enjoy wandering around looking at the 40 displays. Highlights include the giant octopus and the cute seahorses. The IMAX 3D cinema system is fantastic - you will feel like you are swimming along with the animals.

Rhondda Heritage Park - CF37 2NP
