The Granary Reviews

Darren
A dream cottage absolutely loved our stay over Christmas was perfect with the open fire and hot tub oh and let me not forget that Stuart had put up a lovely Christmas tree. Will definitely book again.
One of the best places we've stayed! Fantastic hosts and the attention to detail was great. Very welcoming to small children books, videos, smart TV for access to Netflix, Amazon Prime etc and the hot tub was a great addition for us too. Homemade lemon drizzle cake was greatly appreciated and a lovely touch. Thank you
Melanie
Amazing property with everything you could ask for. The most comfortable beds, a real home from home. The hot tub was superb and a lovely way to spend the afternoon after being out all day. Great location for exploring Somerset and Devon as so close to the county border..highly recommended. The owners were so accommodating when we had car issues on our last day too, thank you.
This cottage was wonderful. The owners couldnt do enough to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this cottage.
Beautiful house in beautiful surrounding's. Everything as advertised. Will definitely be returning, if only for the absolutely sublime brownies awaiting our arrival! Seriously though, if you're looking for a peaceful escape this the place to go!
We had a lovely stay at the Granary, the house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and the hot tub was maintained throughout our stay. The cottage is very remote however and people with electric vehicles will find it difficult to find somewhere nearby to charge. There is charging at Wiveliscombe but this only low voltage.
Nicola
Just got back from a lovely enjoyable week at the granary. We had the best time and had such warm weather. The cottage was so beautiful and has great facilities, just like home. Beautiful little villages around the area and central to all coastal areas. We drove all over Somerset and Devon and found some real gems we hadnt seen before. Well worth a stay here and highly recommend this place.
Peace and quiet with a hot tub and wood burner, you can't ask for more. ..bliss
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Granary, it was a beautiful property in a beautiful location. The owners were friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable.
We had glorious weather for our stay which meant we were out most of the time and also that we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub under frosty skies! We were welcomed at the door and appreciated the delicious lemon cake and Prosecco. A very comfortable, warm cottage in the middle of peaceful rolling SomersetDevon countryside with walks from the door..

We all had a wonderful holiday at The Granary. Stuart & Julie were so helpful. The property is beautiful & very well equipped. We loved our time there & will return in the future. It is a lovely place & lots to do & see. Our favourite holiday destination so far. Would thoroughly recommend, it is 1 of the nicest holidays we have ever had. Lots of little market town & villages not far away, & some lovely country pubs. Can't rate it high enough.
Lovely property with friendly and welcoming hosts. We especially loved the hot tub, wood burner and the prosecco and cakes! Thank you!
The property was excellent. So clean and well equipped. Decorated and furnished to a high standard. The friendly hosts provided everything you could want and more. The setting was beautifully quiet with lovely walks from the property. The hot tub was an added bonus and a first for all of us, very enjoyable. We would highly recommend this property.
PERFECT The Granary is a wonderful place to stay. We visited with Mum, Hubby, Son and girlfriend and dog. Everything you could possibly need is on hand for everyone's needs. Downstairs bedroom was a must for us. Julie and Stuart were there if needed, but were never intrusive. Hot tub was checked daily even our dog didn't know Stuart had been. I had asked about a blender before leaving home and when we got to the property, there was a brand new one available wow! Accommodation is cosy, clean and comfortable, plenty of room available for hanging clothes, etc. The kitchen and equipment is amazing and so were the scones, jam and cream waiting for our arrival oh, and don't forget the prosecco. Such a lovely, quiet location with plenty of walks nearby and within relatively easy lots of winding roads reach to many wonderful places to visit. Wivvy is a nice town to visit and we loved Bampton you must visit 'Spelt' excellent food. Would I recommend The Granary ABSOLUTELY. Thank you Julie and Stuart
We had a wonderful stay at The Granary. It has all you need to enjoy your holiday. The owners have thought of everything with lots of additional extras and touches. Thank you for the lovely brownies and fizz on arrival, much appreciated after long journey. The most comfiest beds we have ever had in a holiday cottage. The Granary is in a great location with lots of places to visit nearby. Our favourite being the horse drawn barge at Tiverton. Would recommend and defiantly stay again if in the area.
The Granary is beautiful. Set on the border between Somerset and Devon, it really is an ideal base for exploring the west country. The property has everything you could possibly need to suit everyone, including a 'proper' coffee machine and the full sky package. It has been thoughtfully furnished for comfort and style with the hot tub an added bonus. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, leaving the most delicious brownies we have ever tasted! They even left us a bottle of prosecco and a pint of milk for our arrival. The hot tub was cleaned daily and they were on hand with lots of recommendations for activities and eating. A home from home, but better!
A great place to stay. Clean, comfortable and welcoming by the owners. Hot tub has spoiled us. We would go again at some point and thoroughly recommend.
We had a lovely stay at the Granary and it was everything we could've wished for. It was well presented and very clean and there was everything that we needed for our stay. The hosts were lovely and left us some goodies on arrival. We will return soon
Kirsten
We live next door to this property & know the owners so knew what to expect of the area! We booked this as we were having a party & lots of friends were staying. It was great to have this house and everyone loved it, the little touches fizz and nibbles on arrival were lovely and the hot tub was a hit of course. As we live next door we obviously love the area and would recommend it for a holiday if you like the countryside.
Carole

What a beautiful place! Quite simply the best equipped holiday let we have ever stayed in! Such thoughtful items to really make this a homefromhome environment. Gorgeous soft bedding, quality wine glasses, great shower, swim towels for the hottub, wine AND Champagne stoppers, quality coffee machine WITH coffee pods, tin foil and cling filmliterally the little things that you kind of miss when youve forgotten to pack them. Then the extra goodies that make it so warm and welcomingCakes and Prosecco in the fridge waiting on arrival. Stuart and Julie were both lovely and welcoming super hosts! The Granary is very well equipped and finished to a high standard. It has all the facilitiesequipment you could need and the log burner, hot tub and full Sky package mean you don't need to venture out if you don't want to! Wow! Such a beautiful cottage. We had a lovely stay and the homemade brownies were such a lovely welcome. We had everything we needed and more for our stay. We would highly recommend and are definitely coming back soon
Christine
Lovely relaxing half term break. Teenagers loved the hot tub especially after an afternoon of horse riding. Nice rural location. Well equipped cottage with lots of thoughtful details. The chocolate brownies and welcome groceries in the house were appreciated. Would definitely recommend and stay again if visiting the area again. Gap in the garden fence meant our dog could escape which she took great delight in doing when outside, close supervision required.
Darren
The Granary is a wonderful cottage with everything you need to have a relaxing stay. Julie and Stuart were great hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The hot tub is a fantastic addition. Home made brownies on arrival were delicious. We will definitely come back for another stay.
This property is 1st class. took a little time to locate the property down all the dark and narrow lanes and it may help to put the name on the wall at the start of the farm as the sat nav takes you to a different property. but apart from that it was a delight to stay there and the hot tub was spot on. would recommend and stay again. thanks Stuart for making us welcome.
We had a very enjoyable stay over Christmas, the cottage is very well equipped, we particularly enjoyed the hot tub and the log burner, which made the cottage even cosier. Its a great location with nice walks around the local area. Wish we could have stayed longer. Julie and Stuart were very welcoming and great hosts during our stay.
This cottage is superb. It is very comfortable and the owners have thought of everything you could possibly need for an amazing stay. We loved our stay!
Debbie
We spent a lovely week at the property, in November, which had everything we needed. It has a safe, enclosed, dog friendly garden and we were able to relax in the hot tub without worrying about our girl escaping. We would love to return in the warmer weather to make full use of the beautiful garden. This is a perfect cottage inside and out!
The granary was near perfect and we loved it definitely somewhere we would consider booking again. If you want peace and quiet with a hot tub then this is the place for you.
Beautiful location with great walks and scenery. The Granary is perfect for a family get together and the hot tub was great for relaxing. Thank you to the owners who were most welcoming and we would definitely recommend for a get away holiday
A brilliant out of the way place to stay. The addition of a well tendered to hot tub allows you to relax and indulge yourself at the end of a day out. The owners go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Being greeted with some freshly baked scones, clotted cream, jam, West Country butter and pink fizz was brilliant!!!!
Kathryn
Stuart & Julie were extremely welcoming and helpful. The house was clean and homely, the scones delicious!! What would be helpful would be instructions on recycling and how to use Sky. The signal we realise is not brilliant and they have done everything to strengthen it, but we still struggled, probably because were technophobes!! But no complaints, lovely part of the UK would stay again no hesitation.
This was an amazing place to stay. It had everything we could of dreamed of and a real home from home. It was peaceful and everyone was so helpful and friendly. even when our dog escaped.
Stephen
The cottage was lovely and all the little extras were very appreciated.
The Granary is set in a beautiful and peaceful part of Somerset. The stunning cottage is equipped with everything you would need for a relaxing holiday. The owners Julie and Stuart are excellent hosts and can provide you with lots of recommendations of places to visit, A fantastic property with lovely views, warm hosts and lots of peace.
The Granary is a beautiful holiday home. So well equipped and beautifully clean. We loved the hot tub and managed to get out and explore the surrounding area, which is stunning. Julie and Stuart are the perfect hosts. A perfect luxury home away from home holiday.
Lovely cottage in a quiet and peaceful countryside setting with everything you could ever need and more great attention to detail throughout the whole property. Its location is very central, not far from a good road that can get you to key local areas, such as Exmoor, Quantock Hills and the coast, where we did many walks with rewarding views. Relaxing in the hot tub was such a nice treat afterwards. The owners were quick to respond to any queries and provide suggestions for best beaches, restaurants etc. The Bear Inn at Wiveliscombe this nearby village has a lovely outdoor swimming pool! was a favourite, as was The Swan in Bampton. Definitely recommend!
