We visited 50 Acre House in February 2024 to celebrate a family birthday. There are 9 adults and one 3 year old in our family and the house was absolutely perfect for everyone. On arrival we were greeted by fresh flowers on the kitchen table displayed beside a tray laden with fresh bread, eggs, cakes and a bottle of fizz. Lovely well-equipped house, delightful position with stunning views. Easily accommodated 6 adults, with lots of room to spread out and have some privacy. The hot tub is irresistible, and there's ample outdoor seating. The snug (blue walls) was everyone's favourite indoor spot, although the master bedroom is superb. Although Conwy is just 15 minutes away, this valley is quiet and feels miles from anywhere. Excellent location for exploring North Wales, or staying on foot or bike locally.

Stayed here for my friends 40th birthday to surprise her. She loved it, all 10 of us did. The cottage is 10 out of 10. Im really fussy and called a clean freak but this cottage is so clean!! The cottage is beautiful and the location is stunning. Waking up in the morning and looking out into the countryside was amazing. The cottage had everything we were looking for. Well equipped, comfort, lots of space and privacy. Would highly recommend this place and hope to return in the summer. We (group of friends) had an amazing time at the property for my birthday. the views were amazing and the cottage was well equiped with everything you could need for a wonderful break. the beds were so comfy and the hot tub so relaxing. Viv the owner was very friendly and welcoming and there was a lovely welcome gift left for us on arrival. we vent ured to the bee inn for a gorgeous sunday lunch. they too were very welcoming and went the extra mile. would definately recommend both to others.

We generally manage to meet up once a year and this is the first time we've had a bedroom each, and nearly a bathroom each! Luxury! 50 Acre House & the views are stunning. The house itself is soo cosy, it actually feels as though it is wrapping itself around you. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you need for your stay so dont bother taking any extra utensils/pans that you think you may need. Booked as a large mixed family group for Diwali weekend. The house was perfect, big enough for everyone to have their own space, with fantastic communal spaces, and a properly equipped cooking kitchen. The hot tub was a joy, the views and grounds gorgeous. Highlights include the Chimp Encounter, Penguin Parades, Bear Falls and the Children's Farm. The setting is perfect for walking around and you can take in the superb scenery, roam the wooded pathways and relax on the grassy slopes. There are many rare and endangered species to see and learn about including the Snow Leopards and the Red Pandas not to mention the Sumatran Tigers. You can also buy the experience of being a zoo keeper for a day, either for yourself or as a gift.

St Winefride's Well - CH8 7PN

St Winefride's Well in Flintshire is described at one of the 7 wonders of Wales and is shrouded in mystery and intrigue. Legend has it that the well first erupted at the spot where Caradog cut off the nuns head with his sword. During springtime the bluebell woods are spectacular while in the summer the bog garden is a favourite attraction with some unusual displays of flora and fauna. In the autumn a walk through the ravine with its flowing waterfalls in not to be missed. There are also several yearly events to enjoy including the Bat walk in September.
