Red Kites Retreat Reviews

Vicky
Fabulous house in an incredible location. The views are stunning, whatever the weather. We relaxed as soon as we arrived. Really peaceful. There is a steep narrow access to the property but its easy to navigate and we only had to pass one car in the week we were there. Its a good walk to get the legs pumping too! The owners were lovely and very hel pful when we needed to charge our car. Thank you! Great location to explore Snowdonia and the coast. Definitely recommend it!
Rachael
If you like a hot tub and you like a view, Red Kites Retreat delivers! It takes a few days to get used to the approach to the house (not your average driveway!) but you can't fault the location. Fabulous space for 3 friends to relax and unwind.
Bernie
The cottage is fabulous, the views are amazing,a stunning location.... everything our family group needed was there, the beds were very comfortable, there was plenty of space for our group of 6 adults and a 1 year old.The hot tub was ideal, relaxing under the stars after strenuous/ relaxing walks in this beautiful area was a great reward !!
Zoe
Really gorgeous long weekend away! The location was beautiful, the cottage was light and airy and had lovely decor. There were 6 of us staying and we were all really comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to make food and drinks and the hot tub has gorgeous views. The location is remote but the road up was absolutely fine. Perfect stay ov erall! Thank you! We will return.
Tracey
The cottage is renovated to an exceptionally high quality and despite some pretty stormy weather we were warm and cosy inside. I loved the artwork and decor it was very homely and comfortable. There was an issue with our hot tub but the owner went out of her way to make up for it and couldnt have been more helpful and welcoming. I wouldnt recommend it as an accessible venue as the downstairs en-suite is a bit small but I will definitely going back for the breathtaking view.
David
We had a terrific time in this stunning location. However, for the less intrepid, the road and track to it could be a problem.
David
Had a great week in a lovely peaceful location. The cottage is well stocked with everything you need. The owner is very helpful and discreet. Loved sitting in the hottub and watching the red kites hunt! Access road is daunting on first run however you soon get used to it.
Caroline
Lovely luxury cottage with fantastic views. A little on the remote side which may not suit all, but does make for a very private, quiet and undisturbed holiday. Very accommodating owners.

Red Kites retreat was an amazing place to stay. It is clean, very comfortable and is really a home from home. The hot tub was great, and having met the owner who explained how to use it, we took full advantage of it! The views are incredible and we really didnt want to leave. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend staying her e.
Tanya
Such a beautiful cottage - the decor was lovely and the beds were the best I've ever slept in when in a holiday property! The views are absolutely stunning - which made the narrow, steep drive to the property completely worthwhile. So peaceful - only the sounds of the surrounding wildlife. Hot tub was great, with wonderful views across to the hills and Snowdon to the left and a lovely wood burner to make everything cosy on those Autumnal evenings. We will certainly revisit!
Allison
A lovely well equipped cottage, great views and very quiet. We had a lovely family get together.
David
Lovely relaxing retreat - perfect for an off the grid escape! Hot tub was well enjoyed and scenery awesome. Relaxing village pub and long country walks.
Emily
Lovely comfortable cottage with amazing views from the rooms, the hot tub and the picnic area. Well equipped and super comfy beds, hosts are attentive and friendly.
Christopher
A well-equipped, roomy and comfortable place to stay. We came for a painting holiday and were not disappointed - stunning views in all directions and level areas around the house on which to work. Great walks available from the doorstep. Remote location, very high up, but owners are in an adjacent house and clearly willing to help with any problem that might arise. We had none. Chris.
Wenda
We enjoyed our week, used the hot tub every day. Marvellous views. The downstairs bedroom has the 2 single beds which wasn't clear to me before I booked. Went out every day and enjoyed exploring North Wales. Lots to see and explore.
Daina
Amazing holiday home, perfect for a peaceful holiday, We went as 2 families with 2 infants and it was great for us. The scenery is breath taking, perfect countryside air & plenty of wildlife. The home is easy to find following Lucys directions and the road to the home is easily mastered as it is very quiet. The home is well equipped and no problems ordering a delivery by a large Morrisons van who delivered to our door. The beds are all super comfy, hot tub was perfect and 100% will return!
Carol
This is a beautiful property in a very peaceful location. The lane leading to the cottage is very narrow with few passing spaces causing some anxiety driving ,however, the spectacular views from the property on arrival more than compensate for this. The cottage is well equipped and spotlessly clean. The hot tub is monitored daily by the wonderful h ost Lucy. We had a brilliant stay. Would highly recommend. We would give 6 stars if we could! We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend.
Adrianne

First off, the location is simply stunning - the mountain views from the hot tub and house are spectacular. The cottage is beautiful, clean and has everything you need for a thoroughly relaxing week away. The road up to the cottage is a bit of an adventure but the rewards are totally worth it. We will be back!
Karen
Cottage was beautiful, location was breathtaking with views of the Snowdonia mountain range. Very quiet location ideal for a peaceful retreat. Great location for getting to lots of walking areas. Hot tub is an excellent addition and very inviting after a busy day. Very relaxing weekend had by all.

Karen
Beautiful cottage with everything you need and a hot tub which was great.
Ben
Beautiful place in a stunning location, we had an amazing time, we never tired of the views! Thank you so much.
Sarah
Stunning cottage with absolutely every facility you could want. Spotlessly clean and immaculate. Its actually a 2 mile drive from closest pub which we walked after Sunday lunch! Quite a challenge after 3 courses as lane very steep up to cottage. Amazing views, went in hot tub every day. Enjoyed the air display from the fighter planes across the val ley. A fantastic place to really get away from everything, just make sure you get everything from the shops before hand as nothing local!
