The Wendover Reviews

Fantastic property, we were a group of 7 adults and 8 children and its so very big that everyone can spread out and have their own space. The open plan living dining kitchen worked fantastic for us all too, were definitely looking to rebook thank you
Had a fabulous time at The Wendover. 14 of us celebrating our friends 40th Loads of room with fantastic facility's, in a great location. Will defo go back again.
The entrance to the property is filthly , rubbish everywhere. Phoned and asked 4 times to have chemical added to hot tub , no one came. TV in lounge not working , they said they knew , they replaced with smaller one. Lots of things broken ice machine , coffee machine , outside light , glass on coffee table and side table. Good points plenty of space , great steam room , games room , location good for days out the area is very much arcades , amusement parks, pubs and not picturesque , plenty of parking.

Its a beautiful duplex apartment, very spacious and near to all amenities, televisions in bedrooms didnt work, no instructions, also needs something put on some of the steps leading up to the property to let people know there there, not the actual stairs, but we had a lovely time and would definitely go back
We have just returned from an amazing 3 nights at the Wendover. This house is beautiful and looks so much more than the photos. Each room is completed to a very high standard. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. We went as a party of 12 girls for a special birthday and the pub below was a fantastic place to have an evening out if you go with children they do allow children to go in too. It was a very friendly bar and we were made to feel very welcome. We had an issue in the house with WiFi and as soon as I text the owner she sent someone over to replace the wifi box. If you don't want to bother cooking g there are takeaways right next door and also a spa shop for milk etc. There is a huge market close by as well as archaises and a fairground. Well 2 fairgrounds actually. We will most definitely return to this amazing house.

This house is huge! There were 11 of us and we had more than enough space to feel comfortable. We were a bit put off when we arrived, it didnt look great from the outside and the area looked scruffy but the inside makes up for it. The pub downstairs is very noisy, and you hear it most in the living room and main bedroom karaoke most nights. We did get used to it but it is noisy. We found the house was in a good place location wise for finding things to do, we had 5 children and theyve had a busy week! The hot tub was popular at the end of days out. The jet bath looked fab but didnt work, which was a shame but not a spoiler. Kitchen area was great for cooking and loads of plates and cutlery, it wasnt perfectly clean when we arrived though, and the dishwasher is definitely on its last legs! Overall we had a few grumbles but as a space and base to explore we found it suited exactly what we needed.
I booked The Wendover to have a family gathering to celebrate a big birthday, so there were a good few of us. This property easily accommodated us, and due to the overall size of the property with it's outside space we never felt on top of each other that you sometimes do. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in Towyn, and even got lucky with the weather. The property was well equipped, has parking we had 6 cars, and is handy for a walk to the beach, town, etc. Yes there is some noise from the pub below into the night, but this is mentioned in the listing, so we knew what to expect! Communication with the owner was spot on, and we even arranged early checkin to put up some birthday decorations, and a leisurely checkout. I'd highly recommend this property.
We had a lovely weekend stay thank you
The property was absolutely perfect for our group of 13 adults. The kitchen space in itself met all of our needs for socialising and we didnt really need the second living room! Kitchen fully stocked, and cleanliness a good standard overall. There is a pub underneath but you cant hear anything past 11pm. Ensuites lovely, and the decor is to a good standard. Oodles of space for everyone! My only point for improvement would be the decking area. The hot tub is lovely, but the lid had a huge amount of ingrained bird muck on it seagulls, I get it that we had to clean off and the decking area was in need of some TLC. The games room doors are really wobbly so we didnt dare go in. Overall, absolutely would recommend and would return!
Apartment was absolutely lovely large had everything we needed Everyone had their own bathroom
Miss Claire Sharrock
Absolutely stunning appartment with full range of equipment. Bathrooms are beautiful, and the beds are very comfortable. There were 14 of us and there was ample room for everyone. Perfect location to visit Rhyl or Llandudno. Just a wonderful place to stay! Thanks so much
Miss Danielle Anderson
The accommodation was absolutely stunning. It had everything you needed, kitchen was fully equipped and every room was beautiful. The owners were very helpful and got in touch to make sure everything was ok. I would definitely recommend.
Mr Robert Brady
The Wendover has been a delight. The accommodation was very spacious and clean. We were a party of 9 adults and 4 children but felt there was easily enough room for more of us. My granddaughter is 18 months old and loved exploring the big rooms and outside patio area. The main kitchendinerlounge area is fully stocked with pots, pans and cutlery with ample seating for dinner and big comfy sofa's to relax in. It's 1015 minute walk to the nearest beach through the funfair. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the hot tub is treated every morning so is fit for use all week. Overall, really great place to stay and I would definitely recommend.
Miss Diane Alexander
Have just had the most enjoyable stay here for my 60th birthday with my family . We were 12 adults and 3 children. The house and the bedrooms were absolutely beautiful. Everything was spotlessly cleaned . The pub below had live music on the Friday and Saturday , which wasquite loud but it stops at 11.30 . Not one of our party moaned while we were here and everyone cant wait to return .
Miss Wendy Williams
Lovely place! Very clean with lots of rooms, beds and bathrooms. Lots of things close by for families. Only one be issue we had was that there were some sharp corners on furniture, coffee table etc! We had a toddler who fell and cut his head on the corner of the table! Simple protection would make it much safer!
There were couple off thing like some off the beds didnt look like they been ... There were couple off thing like some off the beds didnt look like they been changed we found pair mens shorts in one bed you could put the tvs on there was no signal in any off the rooms the coffee machine need water and there was no instructions for anything in there no welcome note nothing the jacuzzi was cold when got there so took day to warm only there for two but on the upside the places was big comfortable plenty room for group I messagee we the people who owned for advise on theses thing but there message were full would stay again but communication would been good
Mrs Edith Matitu
The house has plenty of room for everyone. It is much nicer in person. We love that all rooms have bathroom. All members of the family had fun.
Charles
The place was great except for parking. The garage took all our parking slots and yet it was clearly showing that we needed to have free parking. We had to go round the premise to move things around. The pub kept locking the emergency exit which was our last resort to accessing the house. Other than that, the place is wonderful. They could do with warm up some of the rooms on the 3rd floor.
All had a great time cannot really fault it. Would love to stay again.
Jacqueline
Absolutely loved our stay here, as we were a large group the space and facilities was second to none. Definitely would recommend this property
Miss Chloe Penwarden
The property was absolutely gorgeous. It has everything you need and more! Its in a great location, and with it being on top of a pub its good for large groups that may make a bit more noise. I had the best weekend staying here!
Me Gary Davey
Great house was bigger than we imagined lovely and clean , we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it for a large group and we will stay again . Beds etc really comfortable, fixtures and fittings great The only thing would say is a few more instructions on using facilities I. e the under floor heating and incinerator .

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this lodge with a group of 10 adults, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The lodge's interior was beautifully decorated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, making our stay convenient and hasslefree. The cleanliness of the lodge was impeccable, and the spaciousness was a pleasant surprise, giving us plenty of room to relax and unwind. The kitchen was wellappointed, allowing us to prepare our meals effortlessly. The lounge area was outstanding, with comfortable sofas that were perfect for lounging and socializing. The bedrooms were a good size, and the beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The bathrooms were large and spotlessly clean, featuring excellent showers that offered a refreshing start to our days. The icing on the cake was the nice hot tub, which provided a soothing and enjoyable way to relax after our adventures. What truly stood out was how accommodating the lodge was to our needs. The landlord was incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure our stay was nothing short of fantastic. The lodge's location in a nice area added to the overall appeal, allowing us to enjoy the natural surroundings. The only minor issue we encountered during our stay was that the TV in the main lounge had a crackly sound when we turned up the volume. However, this was a minor inconvenience that did not significantly detract from our overall enjoyment of the lodge. The other wonderful amenities and the excellent service we received more than made up for this small hiccup. In summary, our stay at this lodge was nothing short of exceptional. From the beautiful decor to the comfortable amenities and the accommodating landlord, it was a memorable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
