Beachway Reviews

Angela
Perfect location! Absolutely spotless! Beautiful house! Literally the best holiday rental weve ever used!
Victoria
We have just arrived home after a brilliant stay at Beachway. The instructions on arrival were easy to follow and booking process was super easy too. I had a couple of questions before we travelled and the owners replied very quickly. The home was immaculate and very welcoming and homely. It provided a great base for us to have a family break. The beach shack, hot tub and beach access are an amazing addition to the holiday and we really benefitted from this, as we had four children ranging from age 4 to 19. The beach is so close and no roads to cross, from the back gate. Beds were extremely comfortable and linen was spotless and plenty of storage space. Kitchen had all the mod cons and the utility room was great! I requested a stair gate before we travelled this was provided at no additional charge. There was nothing we didnt need, as everything was provided at the house. the welcome pack was a nice touch on arrival milk bread butter and cakes for the children that was a nice thought and we also appreciated the email to allow us to check in at 3, instead of 5. All in all a fabulous Wales stay and we had the sunshine
We had a fantastic stay at this property & the owners were responsive & helpful with any queries we had. The beach is lovely, and Nova soft play for kids & Costa are a short walk away and are a huge bonus! The property itself was clean, cosy and felt like home away from home. We made so many great memories here and we will definitely be visiting again!
Nice getaway but needs some up keeping
Hannah
The property was clean and welcoming when we arrived. With food items and tea for us which was great. I would say that check in time 5pm is too late, especially when you have a family. When we got there, I had not received any info the code for the games room which we were able to use. Sykes Cottages didn't email me the code, Welsh Cottages did in the end which was a hassle. When we got in the 'games room' the controllers were not working for the arcade so the children could not use it at all, which is such a shame! And a waste of the room. Otherwise it was a lovely stay, ample amount of room for 2 families to stay there together. Lovely to have the beach so close to you.
This has been the third occasion that we stayed at this property, and there have been some upgrades since we last stayed. With a beach shack installed in the back garden, my boy spent loads of time in here watching TV and playing games. A hot tub has also been installed which was great we were able to relax in here at the end of a long day. The house is great you have a well designed functional kitchen with loads of storage space, a big American fridge freezer and a utility room off this with a washing machine and dryer. Upstairs you will find 4 good sized bedrooms with the master bedroom having it's own ensuite. One of the things that I liked about the bedrooms was the amount of storage that was available, there are full sized wardrobes in all of the bedrooms and sets of drawers in two of them as well. This means you can unpack everything, put it away and you're not living out of your case for a week. Outside is a big garden, with a raised patio area including a fire pit. There is also gated access at the rear of the property straight out on to a path that leads down to the beach. This was great for us as the dog loves the beach as do the kids, this was literally a 2 minute walk. In the winter months there is sometimes a close gate at the beach entrance but if you look just to the right there is a sandy path leading up and around this. The communal areas are great too, with the living room having a big TV and lots of seating and the dining room off this with plenty of seating too. There are two small supermarkets within walking distance CoOp and Spar as well as a gregs. If you walk up the beach you will find yourself at Prestatyn Leisure Centre, the have a little bar here too which is great if you fancy a bit of a walk and want to stop for a drink, they also serve food, but check the opening times. This is a great place to spend a week away, it's like a home from home, I would definitely recommend.
This was our second stay at this place, we think it's absolutely fantastic. Downstairs you have all of the communal facilities that you would expect, living room, kitchen, dining room, utility. The kitchen is great it's a good size, we always think of our kitchen as the hub of our household everyone is in and out of it all day so it was nice that this was big because it worked well for us. The American Fridge Freezer is great too, plenty of room in here for everything that you will need for the week. Upstairs you have 4 bedrooms, 3 of these being double and one being twin. The storage space is great too everything got unpacked and put away it was like we were at home. Outside is a garden with a gated path that leads down to the beach, this is great for those that like the beach because its only a minute or so walk from the house using this path. This is a great place to spend your holidays and we would really recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting North Wales.
This was the first time that we stayed at this property and we absolutely loved it. On arrival we found a little hamper with treats in for the kids for christmas as well as a little treat for the dog too which he loved! The facilities are fantastic, the kitchen is a really good size and has lots of storage for everything. Sometimes when you go away you have lack of storage for things and they end up on the kitchen sides, but here there is room for everything. There is also a large fridge freezer, it's massive you can fit everything in here no problem. The living room and dining room are adjoined and there is plenty of seating in here for everyone. Upstairs are 4 bedroom, 3 are doubles and the 1 is twin, the master has an ensuite. The thing I liked about the rooms was how much storage that they had, I could unpack my whole case and put everything away, I hate it when you go away and there is not enough room to store your belongings. Outside there is a large garden with a raised patio including a fire pit, there is also a gated pathway leading down to the beach, which is great if you like the beach its only a couple of minutes walk . Overall I loved staying here and would definitely stay again. If you're looking for a holiday in North Wales there are plenty of caravan sites but this gives you a lot more for your money.

The house was very nice, and the short cut to the beach was great. Although getting to the beach with bikes, was a different thing, as they had locked the gate, due to the bad weather, so had to pick the bikes up and climb over with them, not the owners fault we know.Anyway the storage for bikes isnt clear ,as it doesnt say you can use the utility room to put them in, so we had to keep the in them in the garden. The bedrooms are on the small side, and there are too many cupboards, and draws, and the floorboards are very squeeky, so it becomes very noisy, but all in all a nice house,
Richard
Lovely family house, perfect location. The walk through the back garden to the beach was brilliant and we spent so much time on the beach. The house was clean when we arrived and plenty of room for 4 adults and 4 kids. I do think that compared to other Sykes cottages we have stayed at it lacks a couple of details but nothing that impacted our stay or would prevent me from recommending.
We contacted you on thr first day as the was a problem with the signal to the TVs, this was not sorted, I do not expect to go on holiday after spending 2k and chaseanswer calls regarding fixing issues, I expect you to contact the owner and get things sorted. We were also informed very late we could not get in to the property on time due to cleaning not being completed, well they must have rushed as we had to clean up, photos available if required, style milk left in the cupboard, no welcome pack either. The bins were overflowing from the week before so we had to take our rubbish to recycle. Really poor experience
Rachael
Just got back from midweek break The property is lovely and decorated to a good standard. Was very clean and had some basic essentials provided. A great location as we visited several areas with ease and amenities close by. The outside area was secure and well maintained. Bedding and pillows very basic and towels a bit small. Clear instructions available to work appliances. We wish we'd booked a full week.
The house in general was great, really close to the beach as requested, however work was going on in the rear garden so it wasn't as secure as i had hoped with a space at the bottom of the gate leading to the beach my dog could get under. The other point to mention was entering the house for the first time, we had to contact Sykes as we couldn't get in. A new door has been fitted which is very tight so you have to pull it towards the frame before the latch will fully disengage. A note from Sykes would help on the Key collection page. Everything else was great. Loved the kitchen.
Amanda
House was lovely. A few items we missed are kitchen tongs, hairdryer, garden furniture and clothes dryer pole.
