About Ty Cerrig Cottage

Explore the wild beauty of Snowdonia from this charming 17th-century stone cottage, perfect for a family or group of friends looking for a relaxing holiday and set in a remote location with magnificent views. This is an excellent base for outdoor activities, and there are cycling and walking routes from the door.

In the village of Trawsfynydd (2 miles), you can rent a boat and go fishing or enjoy the walking/cycle route around Llyn Trawsfynydd. A characterful two-storey property offers a relaxing stay surrounded by beautiful, beamed ceilings, whitewashed stone walls and slate floors.

This cottage has all the contemporary comforts you need to enjoy your time together. On the ground floor is a cosy lounge with comfortable sofas, TV, and an eye-catching large inglenook fireplace with a wood burner stove so that you can stay snug in the cooler weather.

The kitchen and dining area have everything to rustle up some tasty meals to enjoy together. A games room with seating and a decorative fireplace also boasts a pool table and table tennis to ensure plenty of competitive fun.

A solid oak staircase leads to the first floor and a contemporary family bathroom, and three bedrooms: two doubles and a room with full-sized bunk beds. Step outside and enjoy the large, lawned area with a picnic bench, BBQ and A hot tub.

To the rear is a newly developed terraced garden with seating areas. There is much to enjoy in the area, including world-class mountain biking, family-friendly forest trails, and a kid’s play area nearby at Coed-y-Brenin Forest (6 miles).

A great family day out is to Blaenau Ffestiniog (10 miles), where you can choose from Zip World, the Welsh Highland Railway, the underground Llechwedd slate caverns and Antur Stiniog mountain biking. Alternatively, visit the Italianate village of Portmeirion (12 miles) or sandy beach at Harlech (16 miles).

You can also buy the experience of being a zoo keeper for a day, either for yourself or as a gift.
