Wern Olau Cottage Reviews

A wonderful relaxing break. The cottage has everything you could need. Everything is high class and plentiful from cutlery to extra towels and bedding. A unit full of games in the living room to toys galore if you have children Hair dryers straighteners . A fabulous aga for cooking and a ninja air fryer. Every condiment you need in the cupboards and fridge. Also bags of ice in the freezer so you can downsize your packing. A nice welcome pack of milk , sweets and prosecco Super comfy beds. Wonderful views from the hot tub. Made friends with the family cats there so gentle and loving. A wonderful place we would definitely return.
Really loved this place. Its very beautiful, and has everything you need and more. We loved the location as it was peaceful and scenic and a good connection to the coast and snowdon. The hot tub was great and very well looked after and clean. Owners are next door and very helpful and welcoming. Check in was easy as was the whole stay, I cant fault it!
Another repeat visit. .. and still VERY happy with all the facilities and the surrounding area
Fantastic base for exploring the local area. The cottage was really well stocked and the hot tub was a good size. Beautiful views from the livingroom windows and from the hot tub. Would highly recommend.

We had an amazing weekend at this property! The cottage is beautiful and is so well equipped. It is so comfortable but still has a cozy feel. The bbq and the hot tub are an added bonus as well as the friendly cats and ponies. The sunset views we had from the hot tub were fantastic. It was very clean on arrival with plenty of towels, kitchen utensils and tonnes of plates, pots and pans etc etc. We felt like we werent miss anything we would have had at home. The owners were lovely and welcoming aswell. Overall this is a fantastic property and a great base for days out on Anglesey and Snowdon. We would definitely return in the future thank you!!!
Absolutely incredible cottage. Well stocked, all the little details were there. Plenty of towels, well maintained and clean cottage and hot tub. Perfect base for all our days out and best place to come back to with the views and sunsets. Kids loved the animals. Genuinely one of the best cottages I have found and stayed in. Thank you to the owners for such a beautiful base for our first North Wales holiday.
Beautiful spacious home with stunning views This was our second stay at Wern Olau and we anticipate staying again in the future The owners are very friendly and helpful. Our children loved playing with their cats and feeding the ponys.
This a real gem! The welcome gift of a box of chocolate and a bottle of prosecco was much appreciated. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped inside and out, and is in a wonderful location with stunning views across to the sea in the distance. We enjoyed using the jaccuzi and the spa bath. Our main contact was Dewi and he could not have been more helpful. The next time we have a holiday in North Wales we will be back!
It was a great cottage, spacious, clean with everything we could have needed. Dewi was warm, warming and friendly with the perfect balance of privacy. The views from the well maintenance hot tub were amazing and we watched many sunsets. The quiet location was great, yet close to the beach amd great pubs for food. We would highly recommend booking this cottage.

We had an amazing time at this property. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and had obviously put a lot of thought, time and effort into making this feel like a lovely place to stay. We have recommended this to friends and if we return to North Wales will stay here again.
Wern Olau is a lovely place to stay very comfortable, spacious, really well equipped and extremely well positioned. Dewi was very welcoming, offered plenty of suggestions of places to visit, and was keen that we should have a great stay. You can walk from the door along lanes and across fields, drive a couple of miles to the coast or only a little further into the mountains. Anglesey and the Llyn peninsula are easy to get to and well worth exploring. Being an 'upside down' cottage there are extensive views down to the coast and Anglesey while the sunsets were stunning. The hot tub was just 10m away with the same views. We never go back to cottages, but we may have to make an exception to Wern Olau!

We thoroughly enjoyed the property. The owners had put a lot of thought and quality into presentation of the house as well as trying to supply every convenience in equipment. The quiet location at the end of a lane to the farm would suit everyone but was ideal us.We did not use the hot tub but it should be noted is away from the house. All the places we wanted were in easy reach and we found the holiday very relaxing
Fantastic stay, quality conversation with beautiful views, very welcoming. Hot tub with great views just a stones throw away from your doorstep. Perfect base to discover the surrounding area. Would definitely stay again.
Absolutely loved this place! Perfect location for exploration of north snowdownia, also easy access via car for coastal areassouth stack etc. Some lovely treats in a basket for us when we arrived, which while not expected were a lovely addition. Everything has been thought of, even things like having 2 routers for Internet for upstairs and downstairs. Everything was clean, hosts friendly, cats outside friendly. Lovely hot tub, it was also very clean I've seen them not so clean at rental properties it's located out the front, not the back that's where the view is but it's literally 15 steps from the front door, so no idea why someone moaned about this in a previous review. I'd return in a heartbeat! We were 2 adults but this place would easily accommodate 2 couples and a child or 2 couples and additional friend. Thanks!

We were so impressed by the quality & abundance of all the facilities at the cottage. Amazingly clean and beds were so comfortable. Decor is so tasteful and communal areas are so homely Grounds are spotless and beautiful. Every possible thing we could of needed was available. Thank you

What an absolutely stunning place ,every detail has been thought of The masted bed is one of the comfiest I have ever slept in Seriously one of the nicest places I have stayed , they literally have thought of everything The hot tub is a huge bonus too with beautiful views of the sun going down The hosts were friendly and welcoming and could not do enough for us throughout our stay 1110 on all aspects Qe will definitely be coming back to this beautiful gem Thank you

I searched for hours for a cottage with a hot tub next to the property and the pictures were so deceiving as the hot tub wasnt next to the property and across the owners car park who lived next door. There were people outside in the day and everyone had direct view of the hot tub so was a bit embarrassing to use for a romantic weekend. A woman and a child walked directly in front on the cottage window when I was half naked which thankfully they never saw me but I didnt expect anyone to ever be walking past the property so close. I dont think Id book a semi detached again but Id also definitely enquire about the location of the hot tub before believing images. It did ruin the whole weekend as I booked it for the hot tub o leg as we dont ever put ours on at home. The fridges needed cleaning inside and the heating never worked downstairs so had to get another radiator which made a little difference but we really did appreciate the extra heat in the cold weather.
Fantastic holiday home to totally relax in. Beautiful location, lovely rooms. Hot tub was great, friendly cat's

We were thrilled with Wern Olan cottage ! It exceeded our expectations above & beyond. The owners were lovely & really helpful. Sykes Cottages were also very helpful when I had to phone them about an error Id made when booking they resolved it quickly & efficiently. Thank you.
This is our second visit to Wern Olau. Its such a beautiful cottage with everything you would need including a lovely welcome pack and lots of little touches to make our stay perfect. Great hosts, spotlessly clean and the owners are very approachable. After a long day exploring North Wales and Snowdonia its great to come back to the hot tub and relax. We will defiantly be back again

We stayed in Ween Olau Cottage as a family of 4. The cottage is beautiful, we received a fabulous welcome package and the cottage was equipped with everything you could ever need. The beds are amazingly comfy, especially the master. The jacuzzi was a great addition although note it is across the drive at the front of the cottage, where from the pictures we thought it was on a balcony at the back. The views and sunsets from the jacuzzi however are fabulous. We also thought that we would have access to the large grassed garden at the back, but this belongs to the owners property next door, so there isnt anywhere for the kids to be able to play. We had a very enjoyable week, and have no hesitation in recommending the cottage, it really is lovely. You will also have the company of 3 very friendly cats which my kids loved!
Rebecca
A beautiful property in a lovely location so many places close by to visit. The spacious jacuzzi was fabulous after a day out and about.
Nicola
Excellent place couldnt fault it. Lots of space, clean and comfortable.

What a fantastic property! We had such a good time for my Dad's 60th Birthday get away! All 5 of us that stayed had a lovely time, and it was so spacious and had everything you could possibly need. The hot tub was great! With sun all day on it, it really was like being abroad around a pool! There was ample parking, and the owners were very friendly, accommodating while also giving you privacy. We will definitely look to book again another time!
Joanna

I have been in quite a few cottages that were lovely and comfortable, but nothing compares to this one . It was my daughters 40th birthday .my two daughters my sister granddaughter & myself were made more than welcome it extended everything we hoped for, memories of the best kind . We certainly will return again . I wish the owners all the luck in the world they truly deserve it, thank you so very much
This cottage was up to Sykes' usual high standard. Well equipped, very comfortable and friendly hosts. The location was also good for visiting the area. The welcome pack was a lovely touch...Thank you.
We had the most amazing time staying in wern olau. The cottage is well equipped and you can tell everything has been done to a high standard. The owners are lovely and very friendly whilst remaining completely unobtrusive. Staying here with a child was great, high chair, stair gates and facilities for the little one were great. We always say we would like to go back to nice places we have stayed and often dont get round to booking. On this occasion we loved it so much we booked to go back in July before we had even left. Great holiday, great location, overall great holiday thank you so much!
Bradley
Owners were amazing and very accommodating, the place was tidy and everything we could possibly need was provided. Nearby pubs and supermarkets made life very easy and also a short drive to all of Snowdonias attractions. Hot tub was in a great location over looking the nearby fields, the bedrooms were extremely comfortable, you can certainly tell that no costs were cut when refurbishing this beautiful place. 100 recommend to a group of friends or families, we will definitely be back.
Very cosy was the perfect stay
Barbara
Great stay, lovely house, great host! Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely go again
We had a beautiful stay in this stunning property. Every year we go away with the girls and this year the property certainly didnt let us down. The kitchenlounge had so much space and was very homely. The bedrooms were gorgeous and beds very comfortable. The views were outstanding and the hot tub was perfect. We would definitely recommend.
