Well Cottage Reviews

Stephen
Helen was a fantastic host, available when needed, but otherwise let us enjoy the beautiful cottage. The robes and slippers were an added luxury as was the welcome pack complete with fizz! The cottage was very well equipped with quality appliances and the hot tub was maintained every day by Helen. Would definitely recommend!
Property far exceeded our expectations. After a 9 hour drive it was far more than we had hoped for. Photographs do not do it justice. On arrival Helen was there to greet us to show us around her beautiful holiday home. Local amenities were right on the doorstep. Shop, pub, takeaway and bus stop, all of which we used. House was beautiful, decorated to very high standard and immaculately cleaned. Beds were comfortable and showers amazing. The private hot tub was a perfect end to a busy day exploring the local area. You must try the Dacre Arms in Brandsburton, the fish and chips and surf and turf were the best meals we ate, Helen you should be very proud of your holiday home it was simply amazing. If we were closer then we would definitely be back. Thankyou for a lovely stay. Paula and Graeme.
Maureen

Samantha

Christopher
We have just returned from this Beautiful cottage after choosing it to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday week after seeing the property and thinking how beautiful it looked . It wasn't until you got into the place that the WOW factor really hits you.The lovely Julie showed us around and the pictures on Sykes website really don't do it justice,it's an absolute stunning property. The decor is fantastic, everything is high end top spec , TV's are huge the beds are very comfortable and the hot tub was fantastic. The whole cottage screamed luxury as soon as you walk through the door. Great location and plenty to do around the area and we enjoyed every minute. We have stayed in a lot of properties in the UK and Well cottage is by far the best one we have stayed in, and won't hesitate to visit again. You certainly won't be disappointed if you have booked this amazing property. Chris, Emma,Abbie and Josh
Decorated to a high standard, clean and beautiful cottage. Welcome package was appreciated. TVs were enormous. Would highly recommend.
Darren
Absolutely first class and beautiful property! Highly recommend! Helen was fantastic and put together a beautiful welcome pack which was well appreciated. I'm sure we'll be back!
Wonderful cottage, it had everything we needed, plus more, and all was high quality, from the kitchen equipment to the bathroom towels. Helen and Lee were very helpful, without being intrusive. The hot tub was perfect, we loved the privacy of it, the shelter protects from the wind and rain too. Thank you Helen and Lee, we will be back Karen & Mal
Wow! Well Cottage is a fantastic place to stay! Helen and Lee are amazing hosts, nothing is too much trouble and the place is decorated throughout to the highest standard. Its full of mod cons, beautiful artwork and lots of extra little touches that weve never had in places that weve stayed before. From a huge comfy bed to a luxury copper bath, topnotch showers, modern central heating, a beautiful log fire, a big secluded hot tub and private garden with furniture and bbq, the list goes on! And not forgetting the kitchen aid toaster and kettle which we loved! It was just what we needed for a quiet relaxing week away and we didnt want to leave! We visited Hull, Beverley and Hornsea which were all close by and had a fabulous time. Lilys Fish & Chips in Hornsea was the best weve ever had! We also had a couple of days just chilling at the cottage and in the hot tub as the place is so cosy, homely and roomy and the huge tvs all with Sky movies and sports meant that we could relax in real comfort! The welcome pack was first class and the bottle of bubbly went down a treat on my birthday! So basically what I am saying is do not hesitate to book this hidden gem, we have recommended it to family and friends and well definitely be back. Congratulations Helen and Lee, you should be proud and hope to see you again soon, Jo & Vinny x
Valerie
Stunning cottage, furnished beautifully with expensive accessories and eclectic art. Photos online do not do it justice.
We were greeted on arrival by the lovely Helen who showed us round Well Cottage of which she is deservedly proud. The welcome pack is the best we have ever seen. The cottage was spotlessly clean with everything top quality and like new. The beds were extremely comfortable and towels of a good size wrap right round you other cottages please note. With the high tech kettle and toaster the latter an experience in itself added to the coffee machine, 3 televisions, the touch light on the bed and the mirror that lights up when you look into it, we soon learned that technology plays a big part here, although my wife couldn't manage to turn off the TV in the main bedroom! obviously a knack. Never having used a hot tub before I was apprehensive about how to fill it etc. but needn't have worried as it was up to temperature and ready to go and very private. A wonderful experience. Set in a delightful quiet village facing onto a courtyard with other cottages owned by Helen who happens to live next door. The best cottage we have stayed in.
Well Cottage is perfect. It has been designed, decorated and furnished to such a high standard and I would be happy to recommend to anyone. Helen is a great host and so welcoming. It is ideal for exploring that area of coast and countryside. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and the hot tub amazing!
Samantha
Absolutely fantastic stay at Wells Cottage, owners Helen and Lee are brilliant, nothing is too much to ask. The cottage is stunning, beautifully finished with every single detail covered will definitely be returning.
Well cottage is a gem of a find. Helen is an amazing host, very welcoming and goes that extra mile to ensure you have everything you need for your stay. The welcome cart, with cereals, muffins, tea, coffee& biscuits is a 5 star hotel touch, real butter, milk & chilled Prosecco, Helen does think of everything. The cottage is in a great location for exploring, Flamborough & Robins Hood Bay a must. Theres also plenty of good restaurants near by in Beverley, Brandesburton which are a short drive. Well Cottage offers everything you need, beautiful furnishings, comfortable beds, nice enclosed garden with hot tub & stone built barbecue. The property itself is in a pretty courtyard location, with Helen and Lee on site should you need anything. Leven itself is a pretty village, with 2 Pubs, takeaway that does everything!, a well stocked local shop, butchers & Deli. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.
Rebecca
Absolutely stunning cottage! ! Photos dont do it justice. Everything was of an extremely high standard and the hosts were extremely welcoming and accommodating. The welcome pack was wonderful, Prosecco on ice, scones and other little treats. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in and the hot tub was perfect. The location is fantastic too, literally two minutes walk for the local pub, shop, takeaway and butchers. We will definitely love to return here in the future. Thank you for such an amazing stay!
Shelagh
Really enjoyed our stay at the beautifully decorated Well Cottage. Its in a lovely quiet area and we were made very welcome by the owners Helen and husband who live next door. The level of comfort provided is exceptional with every need catered for. Not only were we supplied with chilled prosecco on arrival but homemade scones too. Having a hot tub in the garden was an added bonus especially if we didnt want to go far. However there are many places to visit in the area. We particularly enjoyed Bridlington south beach. There are many places to eat within 30 minutes drive. Particularly recommend the Tiger Inn in Beverley but its best to ring & book a couple of days in advance. Highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing luxury getaway.
A lovely place to stay in a nice location for accessing local amenities. Huge comfortable bed in the large master bedroom. Hot tub covered so can be used rain or shine. Helen there to welcome us and made sure we had whatever we needed. Will definitely be returning.
An enjoyable stay. Very comfortable and tasteful accommodation completed to a high standard.
Danielle

Well cottage is truly stunning. The interior design and the high end fixtures and fittings are amazing which made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. The location in a small yorkshire village was ideal and within easy reach of East Yorkshire seaside towns. Many thanks to our host Helen for her warm welcome and the lovely welcome package.
Samantha
What a beautiful place and the host was amazing. The property has a very high quality finish In everything. Excellent location. Will definitely be booking again, already missing the hot tube. Such a lovely place to go and relax.
Yevgeniya
What a beautiful cottage! Every little detail is thought of, from dressing gowns and slippers to little finishing touches! The hot tub is so warm, nice to relax after all the sight seeing! Everything is kept very clean! Helen is such a lovely and welcoming host, from meeting us to adding little breakfast bits, scones, chilled bottle of Prosecco and Easter eggs!
Helen was a fabulous host, nothing was too much trouble. The property was was amazing, everything you might need was thought off. it was an absolute pleasure to stay here for a week.
This is an amazing property that has been finished to the highest of standards. From entering the cottage we knew we had made a great choice for our week away. Helen, the cottage owner was really lovely and greeted us on our arrival and after a quick tour of the cottage we couldnt wait to get settled in. The hot tub and wood burner were definitely an added bonus. We will, without a doubt, return to Well Cottage again in the near future. Thank you Helen for your kind hospitality.
Absolutely stunning property and to be honest the photos don't do it justice its even more gorgeous in person! Helen is a fantastic host and put lighting on for us, heating and even lit the log burner just before we arrived so it was so lovely and cosy. She wanted to greet us and show us round which is a really nice touch. The cottage is finished to an EXTREMELY high standard, huge sky glass TVs in every room with sky Q, very nice coffee machine etc, Neff slide and hide oven! The interior is beautiful. The property was decorated beautifully for Christmas the tree especially was gorgeous! It has absolutely everything you could need in the kitchen etc. Fresh milk and butter was also provided along with the usual refreshments and even some mince pies and prosecco on ice for our arrival
