The cottage is well named...we much enjoyed watching the swallows. It is a very peaceful setting with nice views and deer spotted. Comfortable accommodation. Good supply of hot water. This is rural North Devon so dont expect to get to places quickly. Once you accept the slower pace of life it is very relaxing!

We absolute loved our stay. The host was kind and lovely. It was a lovely place to stay, good location to visit other places. Rooms are comfy and the field or backs on to is safe and lovely to let the kids roam in. Quite at night which was lovely when spending the evening in the hot tub.

Our week at Swallow Cottage was one of the most relaxing self-catering holidays my wife and I have had. The cottage's location is wonderfully secluded without being completely isolated, and offers an opportunity for finding tranquility and peace in the most wonderful countryside that North Devon can provide. The cottage is well designed, spacious a nd lets in lots of light. The superb hot tub is a real bonus. And, finally, Malcolm himself is such an affable, cheerful, helpful and hands-on host!

The hot tub looking over the valley is amazing, even more so at night under the most amazing stars We have ever seen. We found the central location useful and r oad links to places around the country are very easy to reach while feeling ultra secluded. We will definitely be making a return at some point!

From the moment we arrived we felt at home. Malcolm, the owner, gave us a friendly welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is well equipped and in a great location for exploring North Devon and beyond. If you are looking for an escape from it all this is the place for you, the noisiest things were the birds. There are plenty of fields to wander around for an evening stroll , with Harry the cat for company, and you may catch a glimpse of some deer. Will definitely return.

Lovely cottage in an amazing setting. Great walks around the owners land. Our youngest son was over the moon with finding a deer antler while on a walk around the owners lake. It Was really nice to sit and appreciate nature again watching and listening to all the varieties of birds around. Malcom the owner was very inviting and kind and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be visiting here again. Thanks again for a lovely stay.
