Location was ideal, quiet little village with a couple of great pubs in walking/stumbling distance and some great walks and cycle rides nearby. Close enough to Matlock for your essential shopping but far enough away to not get caught up in the traffic. Lovely house on a new quiet little estate with a nice walk past a little pond to a large field where dogs can walk and just a little further on a childrens play park. This unique attraction combines an array of activities. If you have a look on their website there are some good video clips which give an even better idea of what this attraction is all about. Some of the highlights include the Cable Car system which is actually Britain's first alpine style cable car system. You are transported from the valley floor right up above where you can enjoy superb Dewent Valley Views. You can also stroll around 60 acres of wooded hillside on foot to see an array of birds and wildlife.

Gulliver's Kingdome - WA5 9YZ

Gulliver's Kingdome is a family friendly theme park offering many attractions for children of all ages. The site is rather unique and features a huge array of rides including log flumes, roller coasters and pirate ships. For the little ones there are rides such as the veteran cars and the balloon wheel and Diego and Dora the Explorer are on hand to make sure they are having a great time. Between the 21st and 31st of October the park becomes a spooky Halloween spectacular with a range of shows and fireworks to enjoy. Standard prices are £12.00 for adults and children over 90cm. This is an all weather attraction located in Ilkeston Derbyshire. With a large play frame as well as bikes and ride on toys this is a fun place for young children. The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular. The admission fee is excellent value for money and parents can sit down and enjoy a drink while the children play. A new baby changing facility has now been installed together with some new chairs making this a clean and welcoming attraction for families. Of course you can't mention attractions in Staffordshire without featuring the fabulous Alton Towers theme park. Rosliston Forestry Centre is a beautiful woodland site with tranquil areas for Fishing as well as some beautiful meadows and a lake. The site is also an excellent place for Walking, Cycling and Horse Riding. Other available events taking place this year include an Archery drop in session, a Christmas Crafting Afternoon and a Mince Pie and Mulled Wine Walk.

The purpose of the British Wildlife Rescue Centre is to treat and care for injured wildlife which cannot be released into the wild.
