The Cabin Retreat Reviews

What a lovely hideaway The Cabin retreat is! We had everything that was needed for a very comfortable stay. Set in wonderful scenery and surroundings, with a beautiful tree covered road up to the Cabin . We were warmly greated by Ralph, who made us feel very welcome and advised us on everything we needed to know about the property. We have loved si tting in the enclosed garden using the facilities and watching the birds flying in and out using the bird feeder. Thank you for a fantastic stay.
Clare
Beautiful property in peaceful countryside location. Not far from towns or villages for all amenities. Owner of the property is the perfect host, as is his friendly black cat. We had a lovely relaxing week.
Ian

Loved this place! quiet and peaceful but close enough to Bodmin, StAustell (and would highly recommend Charlestown) and the surrounding areas to be just right in terms of location. Would 100% stay again the next time we visit the Cornish south coast.
Irene

Beautiful Peaceful Place. Ralph met us and explained where everything was and if we needed him he was there for us. Total privacy and dog secure. The Cabin has everything you need the bed is very comfortable and you have all the equipment for cooking, the hot tub was most welcome after a day exploring. We absolutely loved the walks so close and enj oyed exploring the Helman Tor with our Black Lab Milo. The heating was a perfect temperature. Sorry to be going home after a wonderful week.
Dave
A truly peaceful property, located perfectly that you are in the countryside but still not far from a lovely town where you can get what ever you need. Very welcoming host, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Lee
The Cabin Retreat does exactly what it says - it's a perfect bolthole to get away from it all and forget about any stresses and strains. We had a couple of days of dodgy weather, but still felt relaxed as we watched the rain on the windows. When it's dry, there's plenty to do on your doorstep. Climbing Helman Tor feels like an achievement, while we also hit both the south and north coasts. And the hot tub was a delight once Riley the dog was snoring on the rug of an evening!
Jane
The Cabin Retreat totally justifies its name! Beautifully quiet, everything is provided to a high standard. The hot tub is an added treat, and if you are into bird watching, you can sit in the tub sipping your Prosecco and watch birds at the same time. I saw 15 different species, 3 of which I'd never seen before! The property is completely enclosed and dog friendly, but take your dog's bed.
Maddie
Lovely place to stay! Will definitely be returning!
Alex
This truly is a remarkable place to stay and we really did enjoy ourselves! We had the best of both worlds, we could chill in the cozy (it really was a home away from home) cabin and take a dip in the jacuzzi or venture out to the MANY nearby places suitable for us and our 11-month-old puppy. Loved how dog-friendly Cornwall is and most definitely w ill be returning again. Thank you again for ensuring our holiday was a wonderful one :)
Jessica
Absolutely perfect! The cabin is beautiful and the hosts were so lovely. Stunning location with a private garden and hot tub. Very dog friendly and our pup loved it! Highly recommend!!
Leah
The cabin is absolutely lovely and the treats left for arrival are just perfect. It has everything you could possibly think of for a nice getaway. It's on a small lane which is accessed via other small single track lanes but the overall location is ideal for exploring the whole of Cornwall, and not too far from the main A roads. It is so peaceful a t the property and just a brilliant place to stay.
David
Great property, very dog friendly garden completely secure. The hot tub was great as was the fire pit, enjoyed all the privacy. The property has everything you need, good location we toured all over Cornwall and had an amazing holiday. David, Michelle and Star our Husky

We had a really fantastic week here. The Cabin Retreat is just perfect and it is quite apparent that there has been much love, care and thought put into giving guests the perfect stay. Things like providing dressing gowns for the hot tub and logs and marshmallows for the fire pit were amazing little touches. We didn't want or need for anything and the Cabin was warm, comfortable and very homely. The host, Ralph, was lovely and welcoming making sure he had everything we needed. Highly recommended
Maryanne
We had a wonderful stay! The cabin is compact but has everything you need to make your stay complete. It exceeded our expectations in that respect with provisions for the dog, the bbq, firepit...and Ralph even greeted us with some extra treats. We took full advantage of the stunning outdoor area (which is what swayed us to stay in the first place). Great location to explore the surrounding area (planning was helped by the local brochures Ralph had on hand). First trip to Cornwall - will be back!
Denise
We had a lovely few days break. Ralph was wonderful and wanted to greet us on our arrival and he also made sure we had essential supplies of which were greatly appreciated. Lovely cabin and peaceful of which we loved. I also got to meet a lovely neighbour of Ralphs who owed Alpacas and i got to feed them with her. Would definitely return again, an d would highly recommend this lovely cabin. Thank you Ralph for a relaxing lovely few days.
Laura

It wad such a wonderful stay. It felt like home from home. We cannot wait to come again and certainly will be! Such a beautiful peaceful cabin, I don't have anything bad to say because it was simply perfect. Thank you Ralph and family! :)

Me and my husband booked The Cabin Retreat for a few nights because we couldn't face going through an airport. So glad we did. Beautiful location, so peaceful, and Ralph had catered for everything we could possibly need. Great BBQ, hot tub and fire pit. And the visiting cat was an added bonus Already talking about going back. Thank you Ralph!
Ian
We had a fabulous week at the Cabin Retreat. It had all the amenities you could wish for in a peaceful secluded location, ideal for staying put or exploring. Maizy our cocker spaniel was thoroughly entertained and exercised by the birds and Sooty the cat, lots of zooms around the enclosed garden. Ralph was a fantastic host and presented us with a w elcome package of cookies, eggs, milk and a bottle of wine. We would love to come back and would definitely recommend the cabin to our friends.

A wonderful Cabin. Peaceful & cosy with a stunning, secure, garden, perfect for the dog to roam free, whilst we sat & relaxed in the hot tub after a day walking, or at the beach. The attention to detail at this property is amazing! Everything has been thought of, even towels and dishes for the dog. On arrival we were greeted by the owner who showed us around & left us local fresh eggs, milk, wine, tea, coffee and even marshmallows for the fire pit. Just perfect, well definitely visit again!
