Yardley Manor Reviews

Teresa
WOW! This house is amazing, absolutely perfect for our large family gathering. Our family of educators have been going to a house every October half term for the last 20 years and each year our family grows so we need bigger houses. This one is outstanding, with lots of rooms to spread out and find a bit of space and quiet if needed. It was super clean and very well equipped for all our cooking needs. The bedrooms were just right and beds comfy. As it was our 50th wedding year, we got the largest one with the lovely 4 poster bed! The park opposite was lovely too, great little pitch and putt which the kids loved and lots of wildlife. The boating lake was well used and a great little craft day was laid on by the council. The North beach was just a few minutes stroll and the South beach was a lovely walk along the sea prom or , if like me walking that far is difficult, the open top bus is always available. The miniature railway was also just a couple of minutes walk away and did a great Halloween ride. I would really struggle to find anything negative about this house, its facilities or location, but a couple of our party have hot tubs at home and suggested that chlorine tablets were needed as, after a couple of days, the water was a bit foggy, but I would imagine that would be dangerous if you were inexperienced with this. We will certainly return to this gorgeous place but our numbers are reducing as several of the grandchildren are now at university so a slightly smaller house next year! Thanks to everyone involved, the owners, the cleaners, Sykes etc. for making this such a special treat for us all.
Pamela
We had a super time. Plenty of space for 4 generations of the family. The children could play and make noise without disturbing the great grandmas. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen to cook for 15 of us. The piano in tune with itself but not concert pitch was a well used bonus for our musical family.
Having only one fridge freeezer in the kitchen area limited the storage for a large group. The fridge in the bar was out of action and the one in the toilet of the 1st floor lounge had limitations due to its situation . A separate laundry storage area would be ideal. The house is very welcoming , comfortable and in an ideal situation.
A beautiful house that has been decorated with great love, care and attention. All facilities are present and in good working order. We had a great time in your lovely house and we will be certainly coming back again. Thank you very much!!
Great for a family get together with plenty of rooms. Would help if a floorplan was available on arrival as identifying all the rooms took some time.
Brilliant house with great amenities. Beautifully clean and lovely finishing touches. Perfect location.
Waltraud
We had a wonderful stay at Yardley Manor and the house exceeded our expectations and really met our needs.
George
Fabulous house, really comfortable, loved the two lounges, especially the large one on the first floor. Couple of little niggles, on the top floor couldnt always get a hot shower. The back door latch fell off the moment we arrived didnt affect us though. Last thing ,there was no egg cups so the kids couldnt dippy soldiers for breakfast.
Fantastic property, maintained and equipped to a very high standard. Excellent location for the town & seafront. Complementary Prosecco went down well, thank you. Highly recommended. We will definitely be returning!
There was a problem with hot tub but it was sorted same day so no problem. The house was a brilliant place to celebrate with all the family. Every bedroom having en suites was great. The lounge and dining rooms were suitable for the number of occupants. The piano has some hammers missing so limited the quality of music played. All in all a fantastic place and fulfilled our needs. Came home with lots of treasured memories.
This house was everything I had hoped for our family get together for my birthday. It was spotlessly clean. Facilities were excellent, plenty of cooking utensils for 20 people. It was great having the bar! All the bedrooms clean and comfortable! The location is perfect for the North shore attractions and a beach stroll! Directly across the road from Peasholme park.
Couple of things failed but there team was there and fixed all.
An excellent venue, minor problems being downstairs ensuite bathroom window would not open, catch broken. Kitchen sink tap leaking. As this property accommodates up to 20 people, a second dishwasher would be welcome !!! We hope to return !
This is the third year we have spent at the house with our party of 16 friends. Its very comfortable & well equipped. It is fairly unique in that each bedroom or bedroom suite has an ensuite bathroom. In the UK its difficult to find properties with a bathroom for each bedroom. Whenever there has been a problem with the property we have been impressed by the willingness & speed the owners have reacted to ensuring an issue is quickly resolved. We would highly recommend this house.
Philip
Great place to stay . Reality better than the pictures. Very comfortable and clean. Beds comfortable. Plenty of utensils and equipment in the kitchen. Couple of showers didnt work properly we didnt complain as there were plenty of others to use so it wasnt a problem. No shortage of hot water for baths and showers. Hot tub a real success. Definitely recommend and will stay again. Location was great. Thank you we had a perfect holiday.
Excellent place to stay, in great location
Charlotte
This is a superb house that really fitted our needs and made for a lovely extended family gathering. The piano especially was a wellused bonus! Our youngsters also enjoyed use of the hot tub and games of hide and seek in all the various rooms! The house is very well equipped, lovely and warm, with constant hot water and plenty of home comforts. One addition that would be useful is a coatstand or some coat hooks in the front porch, as the kids tended to offload coats and shoes there so as not to tread dirt through the house. Also useful might be some foam covering or equivalent on the outer edge of the fire escape at head height, as one of our family had a near miss on that account. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again in the future.
Eileen
Generally superb accommodation and facilities but there was nowhere for our party of 14 to hang outdoor clothing and shoes.
Sandra
Lovely house, enjoyed by all. Few things need attention, downstairs bedroom musty smell also shower overflows had to take drain cover out. Tried to use vacuum but not working. Bin in kitchen filthy had to clean out.Microwave needed cleaning.Outside in car park needs a light as very dangerous, especially near fire escape, husband nearly hit his head.Master bedroom toilet brush and holder were both filthy.Overall a lovely house but some attention needed in cleaning. Would stay again. Location fantastic and thanks for the welcome gift on arrival.
Suzanne
What a fabulous place for a large group. We were a party of 20 and I struggled to find somewhere which had sufficient rooms to include single friends however Yardley Manor was perfect. Lots of living space although we tended to use the kitchen, dining room, small sitting room as the space flowed well, so we enjoyed drinks and cooking as a group. Every room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Lovely location opposite Peasholm Park and plenty of parking spaces at the property. We loved it and wouldn't hesitate to return.
A very comfortable, spacious property ideal for large groups. The owners are quick to respond & deal with any problems.
Another lovely week, the property is so comfortable and deserves its 5 star rating. The Knitting Club Sheffield
We found the property very well cared for with almost everything we needed apart from a barbecue. There was a problem with the heating on arrival. The owner was very responsive despite it being a Saturday and the problem was resolved quickly. We were offered compensation for our inconvenience. The property is very conveniently located and is very spacious with areas to allow separation of children and adults. This is the best property we have found to date to accommodate our group of 20 people and would certainly return for a similar gathering.
Andrew
Amazing property for our family reunion. Close to the beach in the north bay of Scarborough and right beside the park.
Jacqueline
We had the most fabulous twice postponed 21st birthday celebration for my son. Three generations of our family gathered together in this fabulous house the location was fantastic too. We couldnt have hoped for a better venue.
We have not given cleanliness the top rating as we found someone's medication in a drawer in a room being used by our granddaughter.
Absolutely fabulous house in an wonderful location close to the sea and Peasholm Park. It has a lovely feel to the house. We loved staying there with all our family. There was lots of space for everyone. All bedrooms had an ensuites and the lounges were lovely! Furnishings very good quality and extremely comfortable. We would love to come back again.
Frances
Lovely stay in a beautiful house. Very handy for the beach!
The house was beautiful great for a party, bedding and towels were lovely nice and soft the furniture was so comfortable. The only problem we had was a leak in ceiling and under the sink but it certainly never spoilt our time would definitely come back.
A very comfortable property with well appointed communal rooms. Its great that all bedroomssuites have bathrooms. When occupied by a party such as ours with 18 adults it would benefit from another fridge, dishwasher & kitchen sink. This would make the property almost perfect but in no way spoilt our very enjoyable stay.
Great large house. Ideal for our extended family celebrating our golden wedding anniversary. Lounges and dining room perfect for our get together after not seeing people during lockdowns. All bedrooms were a good size noone had to 'draw the short straw'!! Quality of furnishings was excellent throughout. Great location, short walk to beach and Peasholm park Only slight negative was that upper floors were hot during night, which was surprising given that we did not have heating on during our stay We would happily stay again.
Fabulous property in prime location which more than met the needs of my golfing buddies.
Darren
Lovely property in a fantastic location
Oh my goodness. We felll on our feet when we rented Yardley Manor for our family holiday. Obviously it's been a long time since we've all been able to be together like this, the house was exactly what we all needed. The house far exceeded our expectations and was by far the best equipped let we've ever had. There were a few options for social space for the adults and teenagers so nobody ever felt like they were on top of each other. From a geographical point of view it had everything going for it. Peasholm Park just across the road, the beach five minutes walk away, town centre was 30 minutes walk. Just a great house in a great location. Would highly recommend to anybody looking for a large house for a family holiday.
Tracey
Really fabulous house with so much space and with everything that we needed. Marked down acccuracy of listing as photos didn't do the rooms justice.
