What a lovely hideaway The Cabin retreat is! We had everything that was needed for a very comfortable stay. Set in wonderful scenery and surroundings, with a beautiful tree covered road up to the Cabin . The Cabin Retreat does exactly what it says - it's a perfect bolthole to get away from it all and forget about any stresses and strains. We had a couple of days of dodgy weather, but still felt relaxed as we watched the rain on the windows. When it's dry, there's plenty to do on your doorstep. Climbing Helman Tor feels like an achievement, while we also hit both the south and north coasts. And the hot tub was a delight once Riley the dog was snoring on the rug of an evening!

The Cabin Retreat totally justifies its name! Beautifully quiet, everything is provided to a high standard. The hot tub is an added treat, and if you are into bird watching, you can sit in the tub sipping your Prosecco and watch birds at the same time. I saw 15 different species, 3 of which I'd never seen before! The property is completely enclosed and dog friendly, but take your dog's bed.

This truly is a remarkable place to stay and we really did enjoy ourselves! We had the best of both worlds, we could chill in the cozy (it really was a home away from home) cabin and take a dip in the jacuzzi or venture out to the MANY nearby places suitable for us and our 11-month-old puppy.
