A wonderful stay with brilliant hosts. A true home from home! We loved sharing the life of the hosts, along with the animals that roam the paddock. The alpacas are total gems, and the red deer of the estate can be watched from afar. Everything you need for a lovely break in the countryside.

This cottage is very comfortable, with lots of equipment for self catering. It is in a rural location, but also centrally located to explore the surrounding area. The views from the property are outstanding. Lorraine and Nigel were very welcoming and are very happy for you to explore the land around their property. The highlight of our stay were th e deer which we were lucky enough to see most days, also feeding their alpaca.

Enjoyed a great week in this lovely cottage. It is so secluded with amazing views over the fields. Brilliant to see deer grazing early morning and evening. Very peaceful with just the local wildlife as neighbours. Very comfortable and everything we could possibly need to make our stay as enjoyable as it was. Owners Nigel and Lorraine were lovely an d made sure that we were ok and gave us privacy as well as letting us know we could contact them at any time. We would definitely like to go back.

The cottage is perfect, has everything you could need and more. An oasis of beauty and tranquility, we spent hours walking the beautiful grounds of the cottage, meeting the deer and feeding the alpacas. Sitting in the hot tub watching the deer or just looking up at the stars is a perfect end to a perfect day. Lorraine and Nigel were wonderful hosts from the welcome cream tea to recommending lovely places to visit and the best restaurants. Thank you, we look forward to visiting again soon x

Fabulous cottage in a lovely quiet location. Great local walks, plus easy access to Exmoor and the north Devon coast. Excellent facilities with bbq and hot tub. Would have no hesitation to recommend this cottage.

The woodfired hot tub is a little tricky to navigate a mains powered one would probably be better but we got the hang of it in the end! A lovely last minute break thank you

Everything was perfect, and exceeded our expectations. We could have not asked for a better week away! The hosts were so friendly and welcoming and did everything imaginable to make our stay as comfortable as possible, even down to the welcome scones and jam! Would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for the option to have a chilled break or to h ave a bit more of an activity filled holiday as there is plenty to do around the area! Lorraine and Nigel were amazing hosts! They made our stay extra special. The cottage was perfect in every way, the hot tub and the fire were a dream. As well as gorgeous scenery, picnic areas and plenty of space for children to play the park offers a Play Area, Tea Room serving local produce, a Petting Zoo where little ones will love meeting the affectionate animals and Nature tTails. There is also a Play Area.

Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families.  There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings.  Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast".  There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga.  As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park  is a big hit with families and has a wonderful setting within 26 acres of Sub Tropical grounds. During a stroll around the site you will encounter so of the worlds most endangered animals and also take a peek back to prehistoric times when Dinosaurs roamed the earth. The park is home to the worlds only full size animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex as well as Lions, Wolves, Sea Lions, Meerkats and many other species, Top attractions include the amazing Sea Lion Shows, Falconry Display and Sea Lion Swims.
