Lovely big cottage in the countryside, great outside space with fabulous hot tub and private garden for sunbathing. Owners next door should you have any questions. Very peaceful. Be prepared to drive down narrow country lanes as its setting means youll need to be a confident driver. Fully equipped kitchen and modern appliances. Super quiet with vie ws over the fields and farms.
Chloe
We've just returned from a wonderful weeks stay at Wren's Thatch. We had a lovely welcome by Maggie and Kevin, the homemade scones were delicious after a long journey. The cottage itself is beautiful, with spectacular views and had everything we and our 11 month old needed for a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed the thorough information book, superking size beds, hot tub, and vist from Molly their Springer Spanial who liked to poke her nose through the fence and say hello.
Mark
Great accommodation. Close enough to everything yet secluded. Very comfortable and cosy from all the elements
Annette
It was very welcoming, the owners were very friendly and helpful, definitely would return
Elizabeth
Following the route recommended by the owners is important to avoid narrow lanes but once we were familiar with that, all was great. Superb cottage with excellent equipment. Cosy and comfortable.
Paula
Lovely holiday home with lots of character and charm. The owners were lovely and can't fault the overall experience. The little extras were very welcome..milk tea eggs and homemade scones were a lovely touch. The use of the paddock for our dog was great as well as a small garden. No barbecues or fire pits allowed at the cottage for fire reasons whi ch wasn't a big issue I was disappointed on the website there was a field and firepit so a bit misleading!
Alan
Beautiful thatched cottage in a remote and quite part of rural Devon. The cottage was lovley and had everything we wanted and needed, both bedrooms, very spacious with onsuites and the added benifefit of a wet room down stairs, ideal when using the hot tub. Private garden and your very own exercise field to let your puppy dogs go mad before venturi ng out to explore a very beautil part of our Country. Kevin & Maggie were more than happy for you to take a walk around their beautiful gardens.
Anthony
What a real gem of a property! Excellent presentation by Maggie and Kevin who have worked hard to ensure a great holiday is had by all. The cream tea on arrival is a welcoming touch. The setting is excellent for views and star gazing! The hot tub is a great feature although probably too hot during the heatwave! A homely getaway! Morning greetings b y Mollie the Springer Spaniel are a delight!

the location of the cottage is excellent, quite and the field was a godsend for the dogs. The cottage layout is excellent the down stair open plan is like one very large room with space for all. Bedrooms are very comfortable, roomy and both are on suite very quite at night perfect for a good nights sleep. The little extras waiting for us on arrival was an excellent touch.
Tim
Would strongly recommend this cottage - beautiful property with everything you need for a great holiday- idyllic location for relaxation and solitude but still not too far from the beaches and other North Devon delights and not to forget amazing hosts

We were warmly welcomed by Kevin & Maggie and a tray of warm scones. Wren's Thatch is a cosy property with everything you need to prepare a good meal. The hot tub was a highlight, as was stargazing. Kevin sorted out a couple of early problems very quickly indeed - one of the benefits of having the owner just next door. The adjacent field is very co nvenient for dog walking.
