Stabl, Plas Moelfre Hall Barns Reviews

It was such a cosy and relaxing stay. The Stabl was very clean, warm and had everything we needed for our short stay. The hot tub under the stars was amazing too!
Great accommodation and lovely area
We stayed here for 4 nights and it was a great base for our staycation. We took our dog Hugo and the enclosed garden was perfect. There was a welcome pack for us and Hugo which was a lovely touch. We visited local lakes, waterfalls and drove out to the Porthmadog area. Relaxing in the hot tub after a busy day was just what we needed. We would definitely recommend.

Beautiful cottage and spotlessly clean, owners very friendly and lovely little welcome pack of eggs, milk and Welsh cakes, hot tub a little small for us as we are big people lol, but overall had an amazing stay here, thankyou xxx
Benjamin
Beautiful views by day and stunning starry night sky in the hot tub at night especially rewarding after a hike to the top of the mountain behind the old barn. The house is warm and cozy. We went to a nearby pub for a delicious meal with a nice community feel. The bed could use a few more pillows and the sofa could be squishier but it turns into a sofabed so all good. Would definitely recommend
Stayed for a week in The Stabl. The barn was immaculately presented and had everything as described. I had the most amazing break in the gorgeous peace, quite and beauty of the area. The hot tub was so relaxing and the star gazing was incredible from the tub. I visited Oswestry 20 minute drive and the Rheadder Waterfall 30 minutes. The waterfall was in full flow after a week of rain and was stunning, both in it's beauty and it's power. I had an amazing week and the owners who live on site are so kind and considerate.
Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone, barn is lovely and couldnt fault anything. Very clean and tidy on arrival, hot tub & log burner are amazing on the cold nights. Owners Lowri & Gwyn are brilliant should you need anything we also got to meet Freddie dog the star of the show ! Very quiet in the local area, lots of wildlife and it gives you a real break from the world. Loads of great walks within 3040mins drive of the barns also your own private mountain behind the barns from which you can see for miles around once at the top Dog friendly we took our Labrador we did read some reviews of the bigger barn not being secure for dogs due to the fence facing the road, during our stay the owners had this replaced with a more secure fence suitable for dogs. We will certainly be back !!
Very comfortable barn conversion,All cooking utensils in place ,Washing machine ect. Very comfortable bed , ensuite spacious & clean. Hot tub although small nice and clean, &relaxing, Good onsite parking, Very pleased with our stay, Two adults & pet.
Fantastic accommodation! We absolutely loved our stay, perfect little cottage for 2 and a dog. The facilities were great, everything we needed!
The property is wonderful, clean and plenty of good kitchen utensils and crockery etc. The place is beautiful and is a good base for exploring the area, we loved it and would recommend.
The property was very clean just needs some touching up in areas also the seating in the lounge was not comfortable too sit on for us I understand this may be a personal preference too us but it really isnt comfy. Bit remote for our liking and the road is very hairy getting there but all in all we had a lovely stay apart from the weather.
Claire
We stayed for 4 nights the 4th8th September. We had a fantastic stay, its a great base to visit the local area. The welcome gift was a lovely touch as well as the welcome gift for our dog Hugo. We visited the local lakes, waterfalls and drove over to the Porthmadog area. After busy days out exploring the hot tub was a great way to unwind. We would definitely recommend
Clean and cosy, the cottage was immaculately presented with incredible views, plenty of local information and a lovely hot tub to enjoy. A great place to escape the rat race.

Couldnt have asked for more. ..great accommodation and location...loved the hottub
Lovely cottage,, enjoyed the hot tub. Had everything we needed and was very clean and cosy! Perfect for the dog with the enclosed garden. Would definitely return.
Amazing service and lovely place. We really enjoyed every aspect. If we had to ask for one thing it would be a more comfortable sofa. But thats only a small part. We loved it

Absolutely loved our stay! We felt very welcomed and felt at home despite being so far away from home. Absolutely gorgeous cottage. I would highly recommend it for anyone just looking to get away!
Fantastic cottage, exceptionally clean and beautifully presented with local home touches. Hosts were unbelievably helpful and caring. Amazing location with huge private farmland to walk through. Will certainly be coming back!
Beautiful location. Super clean house. Hot tub in the winter is just lovely to stare at a star filled sky. Perfect escape from a hectic life. Thank you.
Richard
I had an absolutely amazing stay. I wish I couldve stayed longer! The fresh milk, eggs and Welsh cakes as a welcome treat were much appreciated. The property was excellent, the welcome pack really helpful, and the facilities outstanding. I visited Pistyll Rhaeadr, Lake Vyrnwy, Oswestry and Chirk castle. After a day out exploring, to return to the hot tub and under floor heating was just what was needed! I would highly recommended. In terms of improvements, perhaps a robe and slippers for the hot tub, or advice to bring your own. I found the 2 pillows on the bed quite flat for my liking, but understand this is personal preference.
Stayed here with our two dogs and it was lovely! Would recommend it to any couple who are looking for a getaway! We got very lucky with the weather but would come back any year round! Fantastic location and some great adventures near by. Log burner was great for the cold nights and the hot tub was incredible. Only downside and it is the only issue but doesnt stop us from rating it 5 stars is the bed. Its listed as king size but its two singles pushed together which you can feel if you tend to sleep towards the middle of the bed. Would still stay here again though! Thanks to the great owners also who dont deviate from any detail and the welcome basket was a real nice touch!!
Theresa
The cottage was beautifully decorated and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was gorgeous. The only 2 slight downsides for us was that the sofa upstairs wasn't very comfortable to relax on and the wall around the garden near the hot tub could have been a bit higher to provide a more secluded and private feel. Overall though it was a very cosy, warm cottage.
Had the most amazing time in this beautiful place. It exceeded all my expectations. So cosy. So relaxing and absolutely stunning! We will be back!!
Ashlee
We had an amazing stay and cant wait to come back soon! Property was well equipped and set up nicely for our first family holiday with our baby.
Catherine
Stayed here for my 30th birthday weekend and it was so lovely! Plenty to do nearby if you dont mind driving! We went to Pistyll Rhaeadr and it was absolutely stunning, only a half hour or so drive away
Lovely place to stay, the owners are so kind and welcoming. The property was clean and well kept, the hot tub was clean along with the garden area, it was nice and secluded with the village not to far away with a shop and pub. We went to the waterfall noted in the description which was a lovely treck to the base of the waterfall topped off with the night spent in the hot tub! We would stay again in a heart beat!!

Stabl, Plas Moelfre Hall. We had a great stay at the Stabl cottage, the accommodation had all you required for a relaxing stay in the Welsh hills. The surrounding area is peaceful and quite, with many walks on your doorstep, we walked up the Gyrn Moelfre Mountain behind the property and was lucky enough to watch a pair of Juvenile Red Kites patrolling the ridge. Then it was back to the cottage to relax in the hot tub, and take tea on the patio. The owners were very welcoming and nothing was to much trouble for them in making your stay as comfortable as possible, thanks for the farm eggs and the Bara Brith on arrival it was a lovely touch.
Absolutely beautiful. Accommodation is perfect everthing we could of asked for. Wouldn't change a thing. Definitely will be returning. Idyllic location so peaceful and relaxing.
Stabl is a delightful barn in such a peaceful location at the foot of the mountain. The barn is finished to a really high standard and the hot tub was a relaxing way to end each day. We have thoroughly enjoyed our week away.
Absolutely fabulous stay, lovely accommodation, lovely facilties and lovely surroundings. Our chocolate labrador also had a fantastic stay. Lovely welcome pack for both us and the dog. Thoroughly recommend a stay here.
Absolutely stunning property and the location is brilliant for all activities
Alexandra
What an incredible stay! The house was perfect in every way so lovingly restored and so many details and extra touches that made it that extra bit special. Loved learning about the history of the property and the location was idyllic. We booked the cottage for a little getaway and my partner surprised me by proposing by the pistyll rhaeadr waterfall, which was the most perfect location! Such lovely hosts too who took the time to contact us and congratulate us we were so touched! Couldnt recommend enough thank you!
Had a wonderful stay it was such a lovely place and done up very well. Loved the hot tub in the evenings too after long walks in the day. Very thoughtful little extras like Welsh cake and eggs for us, and dog treats blanket and extra bowl for the dog. The dog was safe and secure running around in the garden. The bed was very comfy alot coming from me the sheets weren't scratchy and were high quality and I couldn't feel any springs digging into my bones. Would definitely come again!
Ellie Louise
Amazing value for money so relaxing and remote would 100 go again
Well presented cottage with great facilities, the jacuzzi is great after a long day's walk.
Harriet
We had an absolutely wonderful time and wish wed booked for longer. The property and surroundings were just stunning and ideal for what we wanted. The care and little touches like the things for the dogs and the welcome eggs and Welsh cakes were unexpected bonuses. Would definitely come again next time we want to get away from it all.
Steven
Really modern spec cottage. Underfloor heating a bonus in cold weather. Hot tub great for star gazing. Bit off the beaten track but if you want a chill, good home comforts and some lovely views then Stabl Moelfre Hall Barns is for you. Didn't do much walking thanks to Dudley and Eunice, but only 3045 mins drive to Shrewsbury, Wrexham and Welshpool. British Iron museum is a good 12 day out weather permitting, kids and adults alike will love the outdoor treks and sculptures.
