The Carriage House Morpeth Reviews

Chris
A very comfortable, spacious cottage which was very clean and welcoming. The home made cake was delicious, the fresh flowers a special touch and the wine an unexpected surprise. The owners could not have been friendlier and gave us useful information about places to visit. The hot tub was wonderful after a day out and about. We would have no hesita tion in recommending this lovely place.
Iain
A really delightful cottage which is perfect for four people. It is clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The overall standard and presentation is very high, with good quality furnishings and fittings. The hot tub was a welcome bonus in pleasant surroundings after exploring the area each day. The location is also good with many attractions wit hin a 30 mile radius.
Nigel
Cottage very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable . Ideal location for various attractions. Owners left a hospitality package. One negative was the traffic directly outside the cottage windows. The road was used as a cut through by lorries and tractors .
David
The cottage was faultless.
Philip
Had a fantastic week here, welcomed by the owners when we arrived , they were very informative about the area and very helpful, but unobtrusive during our stay. The property has easy parking and was ideally situated for attractions in the area. Highly recommended !
Trevor
We had a very relaxing holiday thank you and will be back soon
Janice
Having stayed in a number of holiday cottages I can honestly say this is the best resourced cottage. Pota and pan, crockery and cutlery, all finest quality and super clean. The beds were super comfortable. We wanted for nothing with plenty of space to relax on the very comfortable leather sofas. All the rooms are generous sizes and the goodies left to welcome us were well received. The cake in particular was delightful. Splendid hosts and a thoroughly delightful cottage.
Kelly
Absolutely loved it here, worth every penny, very close to coast, we ventured off everyday down the coast and was a really good spot to venture from and explore local areas. The cottage was clean, homely and had everything in it we needed for comfy nights in as a family. Owners Dawn and Joe are amazing, really welcoming and respect your privacy. Da wn gave us amazing knowledge of the local places on the day of arrival, which allowed us to plan our trips better day to day.
Jamie
Fantastic weekend, the owner is friendly and very helpful. Everything you will need is provided. The owner even baked us a cake and provided a bottle of red! Would absolutely revisit for the weekend!
Tracy
Absolutely fabulous place. The owner has thought of everything you could possibly need. She was on hand with information about the area and recommendations which were really useful as well. It's a beautiful warm cosy home from home and I can't recommend it any higher. The only downside is there are no pubs, eateries within walking distance but ther e are some lovely places in Morpeth just a few miles away. We will definately be returning
Steven

The Carriage house was a great place to stay, and our hosts were very helpful and made us feel welcome. It was a great base for us to go north and visit Alnwick and Lindisfarne and to go west for Hadrian's wall. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a long day walking. We would definitely stay again.

This lodge far exceeded expectations. It was immaculately clean, very cozy and with every facility you could possibly need. The owner; Clare could not have been any more welcoming and helpful and the welcome pack was extremely generous and felt like a real treat! The rooms were very tastefully decorated and bedding/towels all matching and the fire in the living room gave a lovely atmosphere. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need and lovely to sit outside. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Katie
Lovely cottage, spotlessly clean, great welcome by host and the homemade cake was very nice, thank you. We all enjoyed the hot tub. Cannot fault this holiday cottage.
Michael
This was our first cottage holiday and we were so impressed. This is a spacious property with everything you could possibly need. 2 ensuite bedrooms with shower over bath and not to high to climb in. Kitchen has everything you would need and possibly more! We were met by owner Dawn who lives in main house and she had baked a lovely cake along with a bottle of wine. Bread, jam and roses. We only used the hot tub once but it was a fab hour with wine!! Quiet village location with local traffic only
