Myddelton Grange Reviews

Rachael
Great accommodation for a big party, plenty of bedrooms for everyone. Stunning views over Ilkley. The facilities are great, fully equipped kitchen, except for one of the dishwashers, which was broken which we could have done with having the use with a party of 24. Plenty of fridges. The lift was also not working, which would have been ideal for the elderly guests, great shame! The children aged 3 absolutely loved the play room and the craft room. The beds were comfortable in the en suite bedrooms, some stunning bedrooms. Bar was great with fully size snooker and pool table. Really enjoyed sitting in the hot tub looking out at the views.

We recently stayed at this beautiful holiday mansion, and it exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The property is absolutely stunningspacious, welldesigned, and maintained to a high standard. The decor was elegant yet comfortable, making it feel like a true home away from home. The bedrooms were large and beautifully appointed, each with its own unique charm. The living areas were perfect for both relaxing and entertaining, with plenty of space for our group to spread out. The kitchen was fully equipped, allowing us to easily prepare meals, and we particularly enjoyed the large dining area for our family dinners. One of the highlights of our stay was the outdoor space. The back gardens were beautifully landscaped, providing a great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The additional amenities, like hot tubs, the game snooker room , play room, were a huge hit with everyone, especially the kids. If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be the WiFi signal, which was a bit weak in some parts of the house. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise perfect stay. Overall, we had a luxurious and memorable experience at this mansion. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special getaway, and we would love to return in the future. Thank you to the hosts for providing such a wonderful property for our holiday!

This was the best staycation I have been to. The group was huge but we didnt feel crowded because of the space. The place is huge and beautiful. We will come back again. Highly recommend.
We had a fantastic time, what a great location and the views are amazing. On the whole extremely well equipped. The games room was fabulous for the whole family. Really brilliant to have the craft room for some of our children. The cinema great bonus. Lovely dining room lounge. Well equipped kitchen and laundry room. Comfortable bedrooms, king and family rooms great spaces. We managed with travel cots as the babies were under 1, had they been a few months older might have needed larger cots. Children that need monitoring parents need to provide wi fi monitors to get full range of property. Would benefit from ice in bar.
The photos do not do this place justice ! Its an amazing place and I highly recommend it. We had some caterers in doing a hog roast one day and they had loads of space outside to set up and cook.
Myddelton grange lived up to every expectation we had! It was amazing, comfortable, clean, lots of space and faciliates for everyone. Beautiful views from the garden and the hottubs were clean and well maintained. Thank you for having us!
An excellent venue for our family gettogether, so much so that we have reserved Myddelton Grange for at least the next two years. A few small issues, especially in the kitchen where the ovens were quite difficult to control.
Maureen
Ground floor bathroom would benefit from grab rails as it is the accessible ... Ground floor bathroom would benefit from grab rails as it is the accessible bathroom also although very comfortable beds in the family room very high so caused a bit of a problem and a laugh trying to get our 91 Yr old mum in and out of it

We stayed at Myddleton Grange over the Easter week 2024. It was a multi generational family holiday ranging in age from four years old up to an eighty seven year old. All ages & interests were catered for whether it be relaxing in the hot tub, playing snooker in the games room or watching films in the cinema room, the pop corn machine was a huge hit !The younger children loved the well equipped craft room and the playroom. Despite some bad weather there was plenty to entertain the children & adults at Myddleton Grange . Everybody had a wonderful time & we would highly recommend a stay at Myddleton Grange set in the stunning Yorkshire Dale's. Hayley was extremely helpful with any requests prior to our visit. Feedback for property owner There were a few minor issues 1. The basket ball ring in gym fell off of the wall, despite a maintenance man coming to fix, it promptly fell off when a ball hit the ring. 2. The star gazer machines did not work, we tried all four & tried inserting new batteries in to the remote but none of the machines worked. 3. Room 10 has a constantly dripping shower, there is mould on the ceiling in the wet room and an open tin of paint was also found in there. 4. Room 19 the shower door kept coming off the runners. 5. Room 7 there is a horrible odour possibly from the drains. Although we were not at full capacity , there were 25 of us , we did at times struggle with fitting everything in to the two fridges in the kitchen.
Benjamin
A genuinely stunning, well priced holiday cottage. Can't recommend enough.
Manton
Amazing place, ideal for our family. This was our second visit and it certainly lived up to expectations. Hayley is always helpful and responds very quickly to any issues. Last time we said there should be 2 dishwashers and these are now installed.
Anthony
Our group really enjoyed every bit everyday from start to finish. Were surely wanted to go back. Very well recommended.
We would highly highly recommend anyone going to this amazing holiday house. We had all ages ranging from 0 65 and everyone loved it!!! It was extremely comfortable and extremely clean and just simply amazing!!!! To top it off we had the most outstanding amazing helpful owner that made our stay all the more most pleasant experience we have had!!! Would definitely go back again!!
Beautiful property highly recommend, Only issue we had was that the beds were very high so had to help couple of elderly and disabled into bed . But house was perfect with exactly as listed .
Sheila
We have just returned from a fabulous family weekend at Myddleton Grange. It is a fabulous venue and the house met all the expectations for our mixed age group 3 weeks to 70. We were very lucky with the weather too and had a great BBQ, but there is plenty of space inside the house if you needed to stay inside. Some comments from the group A fantastic building Perfect for large groups Lovely surroundings Excellent accommodation Family friendly Exceptional thought for the amusement of young children Well equipped kitchen Clean comfortable bedrooms Great space Plenty of parking The hot tubs were fab The cinema was great. Ilkley is a really nice town and is within walking distance of the house although coming back you do have a steep hill to climb. We loved our weekend and would definitely be happy to visit again.
Claire
We had a fantastic stay at this amazing property, all rooms were clean and well presented. We were a group of family and friends from a variety of places across the UK, this beautiful house offered a perfect solution to get together for the weekend with a huge group various families. All correspondence with owners was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others and we'll certainly book again in the future.
The property was excellent for a group of our size. The facilities were as described and the property had everything we needed and more. We will definitely be returning next year.
We wanted some family together time making precious memories and Myddleton Grange turned out to be the most perfect setting for us.
Murray
What a great property with amazing contact. Nothing was too much effort. Highly recommended.
This is a great house for a large group. Hayley was very helpful with our preparations, including facilitating a barrel of beer! We were very well catered for by Tina Walters who provided all of our meals which meant that it was very like having a hotel to ourselves! We put the snooker table, bar and cinema to very good use but not the gym! Overall, a fantastic holiday!
The whole property was ideal for our extended family, who had come from the US, Canada, and Europe for my son's wedding. The location is superb showcases Yorkshire dales to perfection, as was the space, the layout, cleanliness, and the responsiveness of the staff to our needs. Each time I called about a query, the response was prompt, efficient and helpful. All in all, we were very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend it. However, I would add the following caveats that need attention and, were it not for these deficiencies, would have given the whole property 5 stars and a 10 rating. Serious and needs urgent attention 1. The bathrooms were not the standard expected. There were no towel bars and nowhere to hang towels, wet bath mats or clothes. Could you please install towel bars in the bathrooms? 2. I used room 17 the shower in room 17 constantly dripped, and each time it was used, the whole bathroom was flooded and a mess. The flooding, I assume, was the case for all the showers as they have designed without thought about functionality 3. The toilet in room 10 leaked so creates a hygiene problem and needs to be repaired. Less serious issues, but if addressed, would substantially improve the experience of the guests. 1. The plug point in my room room 17 was behind the bed and inaccessible. So the table lamp is not connected as the cord would not reach and is therefore there as a mere decoration. I assume this was a problem for most rooms. If there were extension power bars connected to these inaccessible plug points behind the bed, the table lamps, phone chargers etc., could have been used. 2. The kitchen is very spacious and very well equipped. It would be wonderful if you could supply a Nespresso machine or a fresh press for those who are not into instant coffee. 3. The lift was not working, and neither was the hot baths, so these should be taken out of the description. We were not bothered by these.
Property has a lift and should really be serviced & working , Bedrooms could do with long mirrors , bathrooms a place to put shower products . The gym could benefit from some more equipment. Outside the hotubs can't be used if raining so would benefit from a roof canopy , And hooks for robes etc. Otherwise very decent set up .
What an amazing venue! 30 of us went for my 30th birthday and we just had the best time! The owners really had thought of everything and the were very responsive to any questions we had. The grounds, hot tubs and view were fabulous and it really does have everything you could want inside and out! We all want to go back! Thank you so much!
We throughly enjoyed our stay so well equipped would recommend for large parties.
Desmond
Extremely spacious well equipped property. The caretakers were very responsive to any queries. Beautiful views. Loads of space both inside and outside for everyone to enjoy.
Excellent property for a large family gettogether. Ideal for all 4 generations of us. Very comfortable and very well equipped. We would certainly book the property again.
An excellent location for a large group gathering. Our family get together ranged from age 9 to mid 60s and there was something here for everyone. Lots of space and things to keep everyone entertained. Highly recommend, they really had thought of everything.
Rachel
Myddleton grange is an absolutely gorgeous venue! Its so lovely and was the best place for us to host 28 people for a hen party! The finishing touches like a hamper in the kitchen and drinks in the fridge in the bar to welcome us were so thoughtful! The beds were the comfiest things ever which we needed haha! Having the two hot tubs outside to enjoy the view was just the best and so relaxing. I would definitely be coming back here if I have a large group again. Thanks Hayley for keeping in touch and communicating with us throughout.
What a fantastic place! !! In the most beautiful grounds with awesome views. We came for my sons 18th birthday . A mixture of ages, from aged 14 to 74, and all 26 of us had a superb time. The house had everything we needed, hot tubs, cinema room, sauna, bar, downstairs disco room, snooker and pool table. The kitchen was huge with all the cooking equipment you could ever need. All the bedrooms were clean and had a modern feel too, and the beds were so comfortable!!!!! The owners were very welcoming, leaving us a lovely welcome basket full of goodies and beer and wine oh chill, and any concerns we had were dealt with straight away. Everyone is asking when are we going back!! Fully recommend.
Wonderful house for a large group. Outstanding location with great views and many really good walks from the house. So many things to enjoy at the property. Hot tubs then dinner in the garden with the views followed by sitting round the fire pit and then a film with popcorn in the cinema makes for a great evening. We enjoyed the putting green as well as snooker and pool. Very helpful and friendly contacts with the owners. Highly recommended.
This house if fantastic, we had a week here 27 of us. It had everything we wanted and more. Kids loved the cinema room and party room downstairs. Adults loved the bar and hot tubs. Will definitely be booking again
