We have just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay at Woodland View. The accommodation is fantastic. It is clean and cosy and had all of the amenities needed for a short stay. The hot tub area and sauna is a great extra. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and the added touch of prosecco and chocolates was very much appreciated. I would 100 recommend this accommodation and would definitely stay again.

Fabulous accommodation, the owner has thought of everything you would need for a relaxing cosy break in the countryside, including private gardens to enjoy the better weather, the sauna & hot tub are a fantastic tonic after a game of golf or a country walk . 19 to 26 April 2024 We enjoyed a perfect week's holiday at Woodland View. Immaculately clean and very tastefully decorated and furnished. Loved the hot tub and lounging chairs in the shelteredheated area. Location is a great hub for discovering the area and Richmond itself has all the historical interests and walks you could want. Out and about, Georgian Theatre Royal tour is definitely worth a visit, fascinating. Had a fantastic stay at Woodland View for our wedding anniversary. The appartment was superb and we appreciated the wine and chocolates. It was clean and well thought out, the weather was really poor so we couldn't go out on walks as we imagined but it was just lovely to stay in nice and cosy and because the hot tub and sauna were under cover we used those lots. We met Angie briefly and she was lovely and was on hand should we have any problems. All in all we thoughrouly enjoyed our stay. We had some nice meals out both at The Station down the road and also in Richmond.

We loved the little touch of a bottle of Prosecco and Ferraro Roche on arrival. Their little information folder was full of great little things from instructions to local walks to restaurants and helpful parking info and a disc to park in Richmond. We could not have picked a more perfect place for our honeymoon. The cottage is immaculate, the hot tub and sauna are such a bonus particularly with the glass walls overlooking the countryside. A lovely place to stay we thoroughly enjoyed our week! Woodland View was attractive, warm, comfortable and welcoming, with a great private hot tub, sauna and garden. The owners were friendly and helpful. Its location was perfect for walking and visiting the many attractions. The only negative, that could not be helped, was that we were conscious of road noise.

We could not find a fault with this accommodation, cleanliness, facilities and the most comfortable bed we have ever experienced. The hot tub and sauna were great and a lovely way to wind down after a walk in the surrounding countryside. Angies welcome was lovely and the Prosecco and chocolates were much appreciated as we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary there. Its conveniently positioned and is only a 30 minute stroll into Richmond. Overall one of the best short breaks weve had.

Outstanding property which far outweighed our expectations. Very peaceful and private, while accessible on foot to Richmond and several lovely local walks. Additional touches were greatly appreciated such as robes and towels for use in the enclosed hot tub and sauna area as well as slippers for use indoors. This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire. Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour. You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals. Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.

Lightwater Valley - HG4 3HT

about 15 Miles

Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family. The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower. For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel. Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too. If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.

This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families. Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit. The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
