Padarn Lodge Reviews

Great base for exploring North Wales
Modern style with character, everything you need, comfortable and clean, bedding and towels provided. A great base for exploring North Wales. Fantastic hot tub. The pictures say it all and sell it. Log burner, but to be honest the radiators give you more temperature control, as hot or cold as you want. Would definitely recommend.

No kindling wood no mattress protector lumpy pillows lumpy mattress black mould all around base of shower sofa needs replacing fridge freezer part needs defrosting white stained towels tray in oven needs good clean plus side hot tub was very good
The place was absolutely lovely, Had everything we needed and more. All clean and modern. Central to many places and near by lots of things The only downside is that the trees hang over the hottub so ended up getting lots of tree bits in it every time we was in it could do with being covered And would have been great for a fence gate so our toddler couldn't escape to other lodges or the car park. Other then that, it was perfect and would definitely recommend.
Thank you for a wonderful stay at padarn lodge. We had such a lovely time. Its a great location for travelling around wales! When we arrived on the first day. The hot tub wasnt hot enough to get in. After hours of try ourselves to fix it and turn up the heat we just couldnt do it. So the maintenance man came out and sorted this problem. But the hot tub took hours to heat up so we still couldnt use this facility on one of three of our evenings. Which we were extremely disappointed about. We even left the town early to have a night in in the hot tub which we couldnt do. So this wasnt a great start! Once the hot tub did get to temperate its very relaxing in the evenings. Although theres no lights. The light in the hot tub didnt work and the outside lights were on a timer so went off. We had to rely on other cabins lights. Which were covered by trees so the lighting wasnt great with wet feet, as you can imagine this is dangerous. Some fairy lights around the cabin trees would be perfect to solve this issue. There was also sparks from the microwave we did inform the maintenance team about this on our departure. Its nothing major. But again another facility issue. Apart from that. We cant complain much about the padarn lodge! Great and cosy and in generally really good and clean condition.

The place was clean and nice to return to at the end of the day with the hot tub relaxing and warm There were no laundry bags so we left the towels in the bathroom and the bed linen in the bedroom Nice and quiet area and close to shops so we could keep stocked on items and located for where we wanted to go and visit also

Modern and clean. Well equipped including good cooking pans and an induction hob for a self catered lodge. Dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid cloths supplied. Comfy bed and good quality bedding. Hot tub and log burner great and loads of logs and kindling supplied. Really good shower and loads of storage in bedroom. Only suggestions are Sofa Sofa bed has lost its support so sinks in the middle a lot. Might be time for a new one. Towels are not really big enough for the hot tub so bring your own. Also bring flip flops as the walk to the hot tub is along a gravel path. Had a great midweek break and an ideal location for Snowdonia and Anglesea.

Disappointed. The main reason we chosen the Padarn Lodge was hot tub. After reading the last review that hot tub wasnt ready I decided to contact the owner a day before to make sure everything will be ready on our arrival. The person I had conversation reassured that hot tub is cleaned and ready to use. On our arrival temperature in hot tub was 15 degrees. It took 20 hours to reach temperature we need. Very disappointed. We missed one day of hot tub which we paid for. In general everything was ok, clean enough. There is no washing machine in the property. Also the lodge is very tiny. We were 2 adults, teenager, baby and little dog. There was no room to move around.
Charley
Amazing stay. Lots of local amenities near by. Private location. They had fully stocked us with logs for the log fire, which we loved. Short drive to Snowdon which helps when your legs dont want to move on the way back haha. Hot tub was lovely. Overall 1010.

It was a very good experience, lovely cabin! I would recommend that you pre warn people have a note on the hot tub or table etc, that the hot tub is not preheated as we got in it and it was freezing, so we couldnt use it the first night, and Id recommend you try do something with the gate lock keep bulge on the floor in the middle, as it is extremely raised and has damaged the undercarriage of my car but overall, a very pleasant stay. Very well kept, very clean, great facilities, very private from the other cabins!

Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed our stay. When we saw the lodge online we thought it would be perfect for an autumn break and it was spot on. Lots of cosy evenings in front of the fire, and it was lovely and warm perfect for warming up after climbing Snowdon! Everything was clean, the kitchen was really well equipped, lovely bathroom. It was a very short walk to the local pubs which was great, and all the people we met were polite and friendly. The hot tub was a lovely treat as well. The only slight issue would be that the button for the temperature in the hot tub wouldnt turn down below 39 degrees which was very warm after 10 minutes! There were builders working on the cabins next to us but they were extremely respectful and quiet wouldnt even know they were there. It was a really wonderful week, thank you.
Great accommodation warm and spacious all amenities and a great base to explore ... Great accommodation warm and spacious all amenities and a great base to explore north wales only concern was very open so needed to be alert with dog
An excellent place to stay for the town and visiting other places. Had a wonderful time. The only slight downside was the Smart TV, I had to log into all my apps to access channels rather than just being able to access digital terrestrial services through an aerial, I found this to be a real nuisance.
I had a fantastic stay in Padarn Lodge. It was an ideal location to explore the peninsula and only a short trip to visit Newborough. Also ideal if you want to explore Caernarfon. Jason went above and beyond and instantly responded when I couldn't get the jets going on the hot tub.
Lovely place. Really clean. Had everything that we needed. Thank you.
Pauline
What a beautiful lodge couldnt fault anything. & welcome package a lovely thought.
The lodge was lovely, very modern and very clean. It had everything we needed and the welcome pack was great. We really enjoyed the hot tub as well. The only tiny thing I would change is having a cover over the top of the hot tub so it can be used in the rain
Padarn lodge was clean and modern. They have provided everything you could need for a lovely stay, even a little welcome hamper. The lodge was in a convenient location near to Caernarfon and still private. We particularly enjoyed the secluded hot tub which was cleaned and refilled prior to our arrival and the wood stove which made it very warm and cosy at night. We look forward to returning.
Stacey
The lodge was amazing, had everything we needed and was spotless. The hot tub was a great asset to the cabin. The location was perfect. Thank you
Fabulous new lodge, our boys loved the hot tub. ...well worth the money! The only thing we'd suggest is maybe an airer to dry swim thingstowels but apart from that everything was thought of by the owners! Amazing week had by us all...thank you!
A lovely lodge in a great location. Quite small but perfectly formed. Cosy and comfortable for a family of four. Everything is brand new, modern and good quality. We loved the hot tub. Easy walk into town and to the castle, and easy access to Snowdonia and the rest of North Wales. We were slightly concerned about noise from the near fire station, but heard very little. Also as the lodge is well set back from the road there is minimal road noise too. Would definitely recommend.
