Sunset Lodge Reviews

Great MonFri Stay Sunset Lodge. Comms prior to arrival were good. Amazing welcome pack for all guests including dog upon arrival. Accommodation surpassed all expectations, literally everything we needed for a family of 4 a dog! Lodge was really well presented and spacious! Site was quiet, peaceful and really well maintained! Short walk into town that the kids 57 managed with independent shops and a few supermarket LocalMetro style to get anything you needed. Will definitely return, a real hidden gem!
We had the most relaxing long weekend at Sunset Lodge. The accommodation was impeccable and extremely well equipped, and the view across the lake was excellent. The owner left us some thoughtful welcome treats, which were greatly appreciated. We would highly recommend this lodge to anyone you wont be disappointed!
The lodge was perfect with everything we needed the little touches with the gift ... The lodge was perfect with everything we needed the little touches with the gift pack for albi amd the plum bread and bottle of wine for ourself were so thoughtful we were reluctant to leave and are already planning another visit x
Our recent stay at Sunset Lodge in Woodhall Country Park was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views and the peaceful atmosphere that envelops this hidden gem. The lodge itself is beautifully furnished, immaculately clean, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a luxurious getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was the large, private decking area, complete with a hot tub, where we spent our evenings unwinding as we watched the sunset over the tranquil lake. The attention to detail throughout the lodge, from the plush bedding to the highend kitchen appliances, truly made it feel like a home away from home. The welcome treats for us and the treats for the dogs with personalised name tag was amazing on arrival. The location is perfect for nature lovers, with Woodhall Country Park offering picturesque walking trails and the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife. The peacefulness of the surroundings made it the ideal retreat for a relaxing break, yet its only a short distance from the charming village of Woodhall Spa, where we enjoyed lovely local shops and restaurants. Check out the heated outdoor pool! Sunset Lodge exceeded all of our expectations, and we couldnt recommend it more highly. Whether youre looking for a romantic escape, a family retreat, or a weekend of tranquility, this lodge offers it all. We cant wait to return!
Absolutely fantastic accommodation in a beautiful location. Peaceful & totally relaxing. Fishing on the lake if thats your thing, soaking in the hot tub or just sitting & reading on the decking if it isnt raining. The Street food & bar were good value & both were great quality. Nice walks & the local town is only 20 minutes walk. Will definitely be going back again. Loved it.
If you're looking for a serene getaway that blends nature's beauty with modern comfort, Woodhall Country Park is an absolute gem. My recent long weekend stay in one of their cabins with a hot tub was nothing short of perfection. Accommodation 55 The cabin was spotless, cozy, and equipped with everything you might need for a relaxing stay. The openplan living area was spacious, with large windows that allowed us to take in the stunning views of the park. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances, and the living room was the perfect spot to unwind with a book or a movie after a day of exploring. The bedrooms were comfortable, with soft linens and plenty of storage space. Hot Tub Experience 55 The highlight of the stay was, without a doubt, the private hot tub. Situated on the deck overlooking the tranquil surroundings, it was the perfect way to relax under the stars. The hot tub was clean, easy to use, and provided an excellent way to unwind after long walks around the park. Soaking in the warm bubbles while listening to the sounds of nature was pure bliss. Location and Surroundings 55 Woodhall Country Park is a haven for nature lovers. The park itself is beautifully maintained, with picturesque lakes and abundant wildlife. We spent hours walking along the wellmarked trails, taking in the fresh air and stunning scenery. For those interested in exploring further, the nearby Woodhall Spa village offers charming shops, cafes, and a touch of local history. Facilities and Service 55 The park's facilities were topnotch. We appreciated the little touches, like the welcome pack with essentials to get us started. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist if needed. They clearly take pride in maintaining the park and ensuring guests have a memorable stay. Overall Experience 55 Our stay at Woodhall Country Park was everything we hoped for and more. It was the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, with the hot tub adding that extra layer of luxury. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a family trip, or a peaceful retreat to reconnect with nature, this park has something for everyone. I can't recommend it highly enough, and I'm already planning our next visit.

Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 19 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 23 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Pleasure Island - DN35 0PL
about 27 Miles
Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.
The Jungle Zoo - NR31 9EY
about 27 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
