Castle Cottage Reviews

Caroline
Lovely cottage, well equipped, clean, nice and warm. Underfloor heating. Luxury bonus of hot tub, and two bathrooms. Good location for shops, takeaways, and Lincoln city centre. Caroline
We had a wonderful time staying at Castle Cottage. It had everything we needed and was immaculate. We will definitely be booking again.
Amanda
We met the owner just as we arrived and she was lovely and so helpful. The cottage is perfectly located and has everything you could possibly need. Thanks for a great stay!
Lovely and warm, underfloor heating worked excellently. Both bathrooms and showers were great. Lots of cutlery and crockery. Great location near the castlecathedral and old Lincoln. Parking outside worked great. Downstairs furniture, cushions etc were a little musty, felt they would benefit from a good old fashioned airing.
The property was cosy and had everything that I needed. The bed was very comfortable. I was travelling by public transport and the cottage is in a very good position for public transport, for busses to and from the bus station the train station being opposite the bus station There were shops nearby and it was a short walk to local attractions castle, cathedral, museum of everyday life and Steep hill etc. I also enjoyed a walk down to the canal via a steep passage, a park, west common and the golf course as well as to Burton by Lincoln and down Fen Lane. A very enjoyable week. I didnt take my dog left him with a friend , but he would have enjoyed it too.

Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 26 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Normanby Hall Country Park - DN15 9HU
about 27 Miles
Normanby Hall Country Park has a fantastically tranquil location Set in the 300 acres of Normanby Hall estate offering a relaxing choice for a family day out. The stunning grounds are abundant with wildlife as well as beautiful flora and fauna and there is no better place for a summer picnic. There is also plenty of open space for children to run around. The Deer park is sure to be a big hit with the children with herds of fallow deer to spot.
