The Velveteen Bath House Reviews

James
We just got back from a week in Helmsley, staying at Velveteen Holiday Cottage. It was a lovely place to unwindand we loved exploring the local sights-walled gardens, the castleand nearby seaside towns, plus a trip to York. It was our belated honeymoonand the host welcomed us with a hamper, a cardand a bottle of fizz, which was a lovely touch! We’d definitely recommend it to others looking for a cosy spot with great hospitality. Absolutely enjoyed our stay!
Emily
We had a fantastic stay! The house was stunning, beautifully decoratedand clearly done with great care. We lucked out with some lovely weather and loved relaxing in the garden, especially with the sauna and hot tub. The location is perfect-just a short walk into Helmsley with its lovely cafes, shopsand restaurants. Day trips to York, Harrogate, or Scarborough were easy to organise. We really adore this area and can't wait to come back. Such a gem!

We’ve just come back from our second stay at Velveteenand honestly, it’s just as lovely as the first time. The location is perfect-close enough to the coast and charming villages, yet peaceful enough to relax. The house itself is beautifully decorated, with everything we needed for a comfy break. The garden is a real highlight, a lovely spot to unwind with a drink after exploring. We cooked in most nightsand it had all the utensils we could ask for. Definitely a place we’d return to!

Honestly, this cottage was one of the nicest we've stayed in. It’s super dog-friendly with a secure garden, which was great for our pup. The decor and furniture are top-notch, all stylish and very clean. It’s a cosy, relaxing spot in a peaceful area, but still just a short walk to Helmsley's pubs, shopsand cafes. We’re already planning to come back next year. Lovely place!
