Braco Farmhouse Reviews

Emma
Beautiful place, loved the peaceful surroundings and cosy vibe.
Emma
We loved the cottage! It’s really spacious and decorated with good taste. Perfect for a big group like ours-six adults, two teens, a toddlerand our dog, with loads of room to spare. The separate snug was great for the kids to relax while we celebrated my mum’s birthday. Also, it’s in a handy spot for exploring the Machars area. Definitely recommend!
Emma
We loved this big, peaceful rural place. Perfect for our large family, with plenty of space indoors and out. The hot tub was a bit small for such a big house, but the garden was great for the dogs. Close to amenities and nice spots to explore. Definitely a place we’d come back to!
Emma
We had a lovely stay! The house was spotless and really comfortable for our group of four adults, two kidsand a little pup. The open plan downstairs was perfect for everyone to hang out, though we didn't use the second living room. The upstairs rooms had plenty of drawers, but just a heads up-there's only one wardrobe. The views out to the fields and hills are stunningand being surrounded by wildlife like cows, haresand deer was just magical. We visited Dalbeattie, Kippfordand Threave Gardens, definitely recommend the Hide if you're in the area!
Emma

Emma
Really enjoyed it, especially the hot tub and those stunning views with red kites flying overhead.

We just got back from three nights at Braco Farmhouse and honestly, it was fantastic! There was a group of seven adults and our little dogand the house had everything we needed - so clean and roomy. The views are breathtaking, perfect for relaxing. We had an amazing family weekend and would definitely recommend it. Just go ahead and book - you won’t be disappointed!

Emma
We just had a fantastic long weekend at Braco Farmhouse! The location is really convenient, close to the main road, making it easy to find. The house was spotless, spaciousand perfect for our group - 7 adults, a babyand 2 dogs. The weather was on our side, so we spent a lot of time relaxing outside in the garden, which was great for the dogs since they could run around freely without constant supervision. Definitely recommend and would love to return!

We really enjoyed the stay. The place was spacious enough for just the two of usand having a dedicated area for our dog to run freely was a bonus. Close enough to town for quick trips out. All in all, a cracking little getaway!

We had such a lovely long weekend at Braco Farmhouse! The setting is so peaceful, really perfect for relaxing. The place itself is stunning, both inside and out. Every detail, from the cosy bedrooms to the hot tub, was spot on. The owners even left a sweet welcome basket which was a lovely touch. We’d definitely recommend it for a chilled getaway and we’ll be returning soon!

Really enjoyed it, lovely space, perfect for hanging out with friends!
Emma
We had a lovely weekend at this farmhouse. It’s super spacious with plenty of storage, which was handy. The location is peaceful on a farm, yet only about 10 minutes to the town centre. Although the weather wasn’t great, we didn’t get to try the hot tub, but it looked spotless and a good size. The garden was fully secure, perfect for our two dogs. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Definitely a good place!
Emma
This cottage is just lovely-so cosy and welcoming. The location is perfect for exploring Dumfries and Castle Douglasand there are plenty of walks nearby. Sadly, the weather was terrible during our stay, but we kept warm with the fire and a good film. Definitely a great spot!

We had such a lovely stay at this cosy cottage. It’s spacious, comfyand beautifully decorated - perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the Galloway forests or the Solway Coast. Watching red kites soar above the fields from the upstairs windows was a real treatand the hot tub was a great way to unwind under the stars. Being on a working farm added a special touch. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful getaway!

If you're on the fence about booking, just do it! We recently stayed for three nights and honestly, it was lovely. The house is super cosy and well thought out-nothing seemed overlooked. The kitchen had all the gear you’d need, plus nice glasses, which isn’t always the case. Kids had plastic plates and cups, so no worries there. The hot tub was a real highlightand the views are simply stunning. Beds were really comfy too. Loads to explore nearby. Thanks so much-we’ll definitely be coming back!
Emma
