Tucked away in a great rural location and yet only 10 minutes drive into Shrewsbury with all that it has to offer. Plenty of dog friendly venues and places to eat. We are dogless, so used the Dog House as a base to visit the Ironbridge museum, walk the banks of Sabrina (prefer the Roman), and tour Shrewsbury and Snowdonia. Had a fantastic week staying at the Dog House everything was a very high standard and the little touches of a few snacks, dog treats and milk in the fridge were very much appreciated! We had a lovely week, the cottage is ideally located to explore all areas and attractions. Cottage is lovely and very well equipped and decorated. The hot tub is clearly a winner and a must after a day exploring. Only criticism is the leather sofa which we found uncomfortable. Just returned from a fabulous 4 days at the Dog House. It was a little strange having the Kitchen upstairs but you soon get used to it, (good exercise ) all high spec items , loved the en suit wet room, great walks for the dogs from the property, handy Nisa, Indian & Kebab place across the Rd, didn't try Indian. I can however recommend the chippy c ome kebab place. Andy (owner) was lovely not intrusive & helpful. The Hot tub was fantastic used daily, it was a really hot few days totally relaxed

Perfect for you and your dog. Lots of terrain to cover and beautiful views. Very difficult to get a dog friendly cab though but that did not stop us from enjoying meals out plus there is a large dog crate inside the house and an outside kennel if you can part from your pooch for a couple of hours. The Wharf is situated in the peaceful market town of Llangollen - now part of a World Heritage Site. Horse Drawn Boat Trips are available along the feeder for the main canal and are a unique way to explore the area. Motorised Aqueduct Cruises are also on offer for those who prefer a slightly faster pace. Both trips allow visitors to take in all the magnificent sites of Llangollen Canal.
