Ashdale Cottage Reviews

Amy
Very clean and comfortable and well equipped. Loved the big beds, open fire and hot tub. The games room was a brilliant extra too. Also really liked the under floor heating in the kitchen. We never quite learnt the art of the aga though! Beautiful location with lots to do locally.
Georgian
We really enjoyed our stay at Ashdale Cottage. The house was beautiful, clean and had all the necessary equipment for a lovely holiday with friends. Definitely recommend staying here.
Maurice
Beautiful location. We really enjoyed our stay. If you have dogs, the gate is VERY difficult to open and close - but the property is secure otherwise. The jacuzzi is nice but old and needs updating. The pool is super and the grounds are lovely. The games room is very well stocked for children. The outside patio is perfect on a sunny day. If guests Read moreare not used to an AGA , cooking an be a challenge. Hide

A wonderful cottage for a brilliant family holiday. We didnt have the best weather but it didnt matter with the heated pool, hot tub and games room. The house is well equipped and beautifully furnished. We would definitely recommend and would love to come back next year.
Sharon

James

Zoe
Had a fabulous multi generational holiday. Swimming pool and hot tub were used every day. House had plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 children. Garden was peaceful and spacious, lots of seating areas. We could walk onto the forest from opposite the front gate to see the ponies and countryside. WiFi was good, had to go in the garden to make a call though. We ate outside at the large table, only one meal indoors at the big kitchen table. Plenty of showers, baths and toilets for 6 of us. Loved it!
Rose
We had a lovely break. Fabulous location right on the edge of the National Park with direct access over the lane. Perfect for dog walking and pony spotting. Lovely comfortable and well equipped house. Fantastic welcome basket was very much appreciated. We made good use of the pool and hot tub (the latter is wooden and a bit old, but works fine) and the garden was lovely for the dogs to run around - not completely secure so if you have an escape artist, take care. Would love to return one day
Rebecca
Absolutely gem of a find. Just incredible, beautiful interior, home away from home. Pool and hot tub just brilliant. Right in heart in of forest.
