We are very happy to recommend this cottage. Location is lovely and the facilities just as described. The owners are next door if anything were needed but they were never intrusive. On arrival there was a very thoughtful welcome "pack" including excellent local biscuits and cake. To say that the cottage is dog friendly would be an understatement as there were even home made dog biscuits which our pooch loved. The hot-tub was a boon after a long day's walking.

What a fantastically beautiful cottage and wonderful host. Dean is exceptional in his care to ensure we had the best time. Location is perfect, quiet and rural, but with easy access to Lincoln and surrounding towns/villages. Jacuzzi is fabulous, as is the garden. The cottage is fully equipped and thoughtfully decorated, in keeping with its age. The dogs and our tortoise enjoyed their stay immensely. Cannot fault and we will definitely return. Thank you.
Lesley
Great little cottage, very comfortable and really nicely furnished and equipped. The hosts are a lovely friendly family who are there if you need them but not on top of you. They really spoil their guests with some very thoughtful complimentary goodies and they don't forget the four pawed guests either. Highly recommend for a cosy break.

A cosy, quaint cottage in the heart of the peaceful Lincolnshire countryside. Dean welcomed us on our arrival and was extremely friendly (as was his dog Suki who loved playing with our lab), so this was a great start to the holiday. The hot tub was perfect, & the kitchen had all the amenities you would need for a little break. Everything was perfec tly clean & although Dean was available should we require him, it felt very secluded and private which we loved. We didn't want to leave! Thank you!
Gemma
Hawthorn escape is a lovely property to stay in. From the complimentary food items (and homemade dog treats) to the really comfy bed, Dean and Kirstie made us feel so welcome and had considered every comfort for a perfect stay. The hot tub is an added bonus. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet The footpath by the garden is perfect for a walk wi th the dog (we saw a Barn Owl during the day). Hawthorn escape is a great base to explore parts of Lincoln. Lincoln cathedral is dog friendly too!

Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.

about 29 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
