Ty Llwyd Reviews

Amanda
We stayed as a group of 6 mothers and 6 daughters. The house was exactly as advertised
Beautiful place to stay for my husbands 60th Celebrations with friends for a weekend break. Plenty of room for us all to be together. Zip wire was a hit for the husbands lol. Hot tub was a must in the evenings to relax. Recommend Ty Llwyd for any celebrations x
Property owner very helpful. We had a lovely stay at Ty Llwyd, which was very well equipped and comfortable in a lovely setting. It was made even better by the glorious sunshine!
Richard
What a great rambling farmhouse, fantastic communal kitchen with gigantic table so all families could gather around in mornings evenings. Loads of space in bedrooms too, ideal for family groups attic loft bedroom playroom conversion ideal for kids to have their own space, Huge gardens allowed kids to run around, feed the farm animals zip wire was ace too. About 10 min drive from Cardigan and fantastic beaches of North Pembrokeshire. Top spot to chill and unwind will be back to discover more of Pembrokeshire for sure. Oh, and home cooked chocolate brownies baked by the owner an unexpected bonus upon arrival.
Robert
Comfortable, well presented property in a good location for beaches, shops and attractions yet very quiet and peaceful. The property is great for children.

We had a wonderful stay in this great cottage, it was so spacious for 3 families and kids. The garden was massive and the kids loved playing on the zip wire and slideswings. We had our evening meals round the large kitchen table and it was so nice for everyone to spend time together. The house was really well equipped and clean, and we will definitely look to come back and stay again.
Lovely house in a beautiful position next to the River Nevern. Big kitchen, very well equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery. Our grandkids all had a great time and enjoyed feeding the goats and playing on the slide and zip wire. Ample parking. The rooms are large and the beds comfortable. The view of the river and bridge from our bedroom at the front was very special.
Travelled to celebrate our parents 60th Wedding Anniversary, as some family local to the area! As a party of 10 adults we stayed in the farmhouse and we had a great time! It was well equipped and an ideal venue! We played boules on the front lawn, enjoyed the hot tub, and some of us had a go on the zipline which was hilarious fun! Our host was so accommodating, providing a new BBQ, and ensuring all was ok etc!! We would all highly recommend it!

Something for everyone,a lovely spacious home, felt so comfortable here, the outdoor space for the children was amazing, the zip line the swing set and of course the super friendly goats which my 6 year old just did not want to leave,we have had to make a promise to come back? Fantastic space for a group of nine ladies. Cottage is well laid out and had all the facilities that we needed. Host was on hand when at any time.
Sophie
Beautiful location and location, the online photos do not do it justice in terms of the size and we loved the added extra of the hot tub and zip wire. The hosts were extremely attentive. Couldnt recommend enough!
We stayed at Ty Llwyd for a family celebration. The house was warm and comfortable with plenty of space for the eight of us. The kitchen was extremely well stocked for a large gathering. The children loved the zip wire and visiting the goats and we all enjoyed the hot tub. The owners were very helpful prior to our stay and throughout with a couple of queries that we had. All in all a fabulous weekend and we plan to return someday.

The house is wonderfully equipped, we loved the indoor fireplace and comfy living room, the long table for group meals and the kitchen has everything you need. The animals next door and the zip line provide a bit of fun, as well as the hot tub of course. The owners were very thoughtful and relaxed, they left us brownies upon arrival and were quick to respond to any queries. Would 100 stay again.
We enjoyed a lovely few days with our extended family at Ty Llwyd. Even though we had stormy weather for much of our stay, we all had a very relaxed time. Lots of room for everyone. We loved the under cover hot tub lighting the fireplace kids enjoyed seeing the goats making Welsh cakes in the well equipped kitchen and doing a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle we found in the local charity shop. Thank you to Catherine, Mark and the girls for making our stay so comfortable! Happy New Year!

We had a wonderful Christmas time there. The house is beautiful and perfect decorated for Christmas, which made the atmosphere even more cozy. The area is quiet and ideal for rest and relaxation. We will definitely come back! Klaudia!
Just returned home from Ty Llwyd after a 3 day break with my family for my son's 40th Birthday. We have had the most amazing weekend in this lovely farmhouse, it was brilliant, everything was perfect, its not always you can say that. The farmhouse is very spacious, warm, clean, comfortable with a huge kitchen boasting a massive kitchen table which we seemed to spend most of our time around. We made full use of the large hot tub and the wood burner which was very cosy to sit around. The outside zip line provided entertainment for all creating lots of laughs. My 5 year old granddaughter cried when having to leave saying to her daddy 'why are we going I thought we were going to live here'. I wish. Would I stay here again, definitely, in a flash. Credit to the owners also who were quick to respond to any of our questions and needs, a massive thank you to them for everything.

TyLlwyd was such a treat for us to stay in. We were able to show our dear friends all our favourite parts of West Wales. The baked goods were a fabulous start to the week and we soon realised Catherine has a hidden talent in baking. The cottage was clean, tidy and had everything to had. The hot tub was an added bonus. We really felt welcomed by both the owners and all the animals. Ty llwyd will definitely see us again, maybe with a few more friends next time. Thank you for such a wonderful week... we all really needed it.
The cottage was lovely, clean and spacious it was perfect for celebrating my husband's 60th birthday. The garden was perfect for the kids and the animals were a bonus, all enjoyed feeding the horses and goats. All bedrooms were well decorated and a good size, great to have enough bathrooms. Plenty of cooking equipment and plates, cutlery ext. The home made box of brownies left for the guests were a lovely gesture. Hosts were very communicative and answered any questions we had quickly. We had a brilliant holiday. Thanks to Mark, Catherine and girls.

A beautiful cottage in a fabulous setting, Ty Llwyd provided superb accommodation for our family holiday. There were some very welcome and unusual elements, such as the penned farm animals surrounding the extensive gardens, children's zip wire and playground equipment all of which were captivating to our younger family members. The cottage itself was charming and homely with everything we could need for our week's stay.
Katrina
Lovely large house for an extended family stay. Common area at the back with large grass area for games, swings and zip wire, as well as 2 large picnic tables. Really good for younger children. Also a couple of goats and cows in the back field. Lots of space inside the house for different groups of people doing games, watching TV or chilling out. Undercover hot tub can easily fit 6, if not more. Lovely decoration in the house, lots of chairs and sofas in the rooms for a quieter time. Lovely, helpful and friendly hosts as well. Lots to do locally, I was concerned that might not be the case as this part of Pembrokeshire is not as well known. Between 10 and 20 minutes away Local beach at Newport is medium sized even larger with the tide out. Has some great small caves, but keep and eye on the tide. Lovely smaller beaches either side of Dinas Island. Lovely coastal walk around Dinas Island as well, though there are some steep and rocky sections. See Walescoastalpath.gov.uk for more walks. Local Iron Age fort with activities check before you go as not every day. Shortish drives to local mills who weave beautiful wool, one is called Melin Tregwynt 35 and 45 minutes. Also St Davids with the amazing Cathedral. Reservoir with water activities about 25 minutes away, called Llysyfran, also cycling, but the route around the reservoir was a bit of a challenge with several steep hills with slate. Not too far is Picton Castle, lovely to look around with gardens and there are escape rooms very reasonably priced. Gokarting at westwaleskarting about 30 minutes away. Fantastic fish and chip shop in Crymych, also a lovely health food shop who bake their own Welsh cakes definitely recommended. Hope that gives you confidence to book this fantastic accommodation and have lots to do locally!! We also booked the smaller house next door to give us even more rooms beautifully renovated.
Carmen
Always have the best time at Ty Llwyd. Always welcoming, clean and tidy. Wouldnt go anywhere else now
A beautiful property. Owner has thought of everything. Home made brownies on arrival was a lovely touch. Eleven of us stayed Grandparents, children and grandchildren age range 18months to 71 years. All thoroughly enjoyed and we hope to visit again in the future. Thank you so much to Mr and Mrs Davies.
Beautiful house with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway! Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again!
Benjamin
The cottage and grounds are absolutely amazing! We had a brilliant time spending the evenings there. The kids loved the animals and the hot tub. It was perfect for us and we will definitely be back.
Rebecca
My family and I stayed at Ty Llwyd for a week and absolutely loved it. The cottage had everything we needed and the hot tub was great. We particularly liked the big kitchen where we spent every evening. The location is pretty and easy driving distance to many beaches. Would highly recommend and stay again.
A beautiful house in a fabulous part of the country, from the eldest at seventy six to the youngest at two everyone had the best time.
Ty Llwyd was the perfect base for us as a family. The hot tub was a lovely added bonus. Catherine had also left a beautiful homemade cake which was greatly appreciated.
Three generations of our family spent a week at Ty Llwyd. It was spacious, clean and well equipped. The hot tub was a firm favourite. Ty Llwyd is in a beautiful setting and there is plenty of room outside to sit or play games. It affords easy access to local attractions and there is a useful shop close by at the local petrol station.

As a family of 11, with ages ranging from 6 to 68 we recently stayed at Ty Llwyd and loved every moment. The space was perfect. Hosts were friendly and very helpful and as an added extra, make lovely baked cakes, we had brownies, which were delicious. Both indoor and outdoor spaces were ideal. Situated on a river, the location is beautiful, as was the weather, this all added to a really lovely family holiday. This is such a sociable space, loved the evening meals around the huge kitchen table, and cosy nights in the lounge with the log burner, although the children loved the attic space for chatting and watching their own selection of TV etc. Such a lovely house, views, rooms and facilities. Wonderful area with so many beautiful beaches and places nearby. Would love to come back again. Thank you so much for everything.
Jeanette
Absolutely beautiful house. Wonderful welcome by the owners. Perfect house for a stay with family. Young children well catered for with the swings, slide and zip wire in the garden. Will definitely be staying again!
Excellent property. Very well equipped kitchen, best I have seen. Comfortable beds. Nice and warm and clean. Great to have so many bathrooms. Hot tub was a very good distraction to the bad weather storm Eunice. Loved the huge kitchen table where we sat a lot either eating or playing games. Didnt actually meet the owners but they were close by and we kept in regular contact via text. Nice outside area for the children to use. The laundry was very handy too.
Nathan
Fantastic friends and family holiday, perfect cottage which impressed us even more than the pictures.
Another fantastic stay at Ty Llwyd. Will definitely be booking again for next year.
Theresa
Lovely premises nice size rooms plenty of space for people to get together had a nice time
Great place to stay with a group, clean, lots of space and good supply of kitchenware.
Fab property in a great location. There were 12 of us celebrating two 60th birthdays and Ty Llwyd was an ideal venue for us. Catherine, the owner was the hostess with the mostess and there was a box of homemade chocolate brownies on the table when we arrived. The hot tub was a big hit as was the zip wire. The property was very well equipped with everything we needed and on request more logs were delivered to the door for the log burner.
Great house in a lovely location. All the facilities needed for our large group and the garden was a massive hit with all the children. Will definitely be returning, thanks for a fab weekend.
Dafydd
The house wasnt the cleanest
