Christmas Cottage Reviews

Anne
We rented all three cottages for a big family celebration, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rooms are spacious and comfortable (thankful for the fans it was hot) We had everything that we could possibly have needed for cooking, washing and drying clothes. We made good use of the hot tub and the large green area outside. Lots to do in the beautifRead moreul surrounding areas. Hide

This is the second time we have stayed within this area last time being in stable cottage and I do feel for the amount that has been payed for the holiday it wasnt fully up to our expectations.
Claire
Things we loved = the hot tub, the location was good. Easy access to Saxmundham for supermarkets etc. Close to Aldeburgh and Southwold etc. The Christmas Barn was nice for a wander. Good quality towels, comfy beds. Dishwasher tabs, tea towel, washing up liquid and scourer/dish cloth provided.
Sharon
Good location for us, kitchen utensils poor, only 2 saucepans, 1 v small, other v large. Not enough cupboard space for food, The twin bedroom, no wardrobe space, nowhere to put toiletries in bathroom. Floorboards very creaky in all upstairs rooms.
Claire
It was a lovely quiet place, we felt a million miles away which is just what we wanted.
Andrew
4 for cleanliness as you can see thick layers of dust on the spotlights and other out of reach areas. Overall it was good and very friendly. one major thing is the website never mentioned that we could not leave our pet in the property in which we found very hard as we would of liked to go out to dinner on some occasions without the dog. This needsRead more to be mentioned when booking. Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - IP28 6HX
about 13 Miles
This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 17 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 23 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 23 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
