Our stay at The Olive Tree was fantastic! The place is beautifully finished, really luxuriousand perfect for celebrating special moments like my 40th birthday with the family. The hosts responded swiftly when we asked for extra logs, which made cosy evenings by the fire even better. We had a lovely New Year’s weekend at the Olive Tree with friends. The hot tub was a real highlight and super relaxingand the cottage was beautifully decorated. Just a heads up if you’re less mobile, the stairs can be tricky and a bit slippery. Definitely planning to come back. The Village Maid pub nearby serves fantastic food too!

We stayed at this charming barn in the countrysideand it was just lovely. The walks nearby are perfect for a peaceful escapeand the Village Maid pub has fantastic food-definitely worth the short 10-15 minute stroll! The accommodation was cosy, warmand exactly as shown in the photos. The hot tub was already heated when we arrived, which was a real bonus. The host was super helpful with questions about the heatingand there was plenty of space for everyone. Highly recommend!
Charlotte
We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are huge and beautifully furnished, making the place feel really luxurious. The hot tub was such a lovely bonus after a long day out exploring. There’s plenty to do nearby, with supermarkets and petrol stations just a short drive away. The house is nestled between two others, so if everyone’s outside at once, it can feel a bit close to neighbours - not a biggie, just something to keep in mind. Overall, a fantastic getaway - we felt like we’d stepped into a little slice of paradise, although our own house seemed tiny afterwards!
Emma
Had a lovely stay, really enjoyed the cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend it for a relaxing break with friends!

Attractions Near The Olive Tree

While there'll be plenty to keep you entertained at The Olive Tree itself, if you plan to get out and about and see some of what Suffolk has to offer, here are some of the nearby attractions you can enjoy during your stay. Please note that some of these activities and days out are paid and it's always a good idea to book in advance to secure your place where applicable.

Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 2 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 7 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 16 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 27 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 29 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
