Fantastic cottage, one of the best we have stayed in. Reallly clean and tidy, well equipped, great location. The pub at the top of the road was a bonus! We have stayed in many holiday cottages and this is up there with the best of them. We will definitely be looking to return.

The cottage is beautiful decorated to a very high spec, lovely garden with a superb hot tub.. Beautiful little village with a nice pub and a lovely coffee shop/bar called the churchmouse and great country walks. Also loved hearing the church bells. We recommend this to anyone just beautiful

Our two week stay in Sunnyside Cottage was wonderful. The attention to detail and cleanliness is quite remarkable. The area is great for walkers and motorists alike, with some fabulous trips over the mountains and through quaint villages. The pub in the village is friendly and does good honest foodbut some friends of ours stayed overnight in their accommodation and were not impressed, very 1950s decor and expensive for what is offered.

You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes. Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. Head for the Bowland Wild Boar park and we don't think you will be disappointed. A popular attraction in Preston there is so much to do for the whole family. From picnics, walks and wildlife to experiencing feeding the animals you are sure to have a memorable day out. Also popular is the kids tractor play area. For rest and relaxation the cafe is ideal serving hot drinks and snacks with a lovely view over the pond and wildlife feeding station. The Forest of Bowland has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals. Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area. Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos. At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed. Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years. There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.
