Ghyll Lodge is a modern and spacious lodge providing a welcoming retreat at White Cross Bay on the shores of Lake Windermere, sleeping up to 5 guests, well-appointed, modern, bright and airy with a pitched ceiling and skylights. Enjoy a relaxing stay in the open-plan living space, with plush modern seating to relax and unwind in front of the TV, perhaps whilst preparing your evening meal and the open space means everyone can chat together and get involved.
Wander outside, and explore the large deck with private hot tub, complete with outdoor furniture, table and chairs, perfect for dining al fresco then step into the hot tub, and relax your aches and pains away after a day exploring the fells and villages. Ghyll Lodge is found on a quiet cul-de-sac location toward the rear of the park, and is a short walk from the main clubhouse with ‘The Boathouse’ bar and restaurant, takeaway, beer garden, picnic area.
There’s also a children’s play area, multi-purpose games area, charming woodland walks, and of course the marina and jetties with fabulous lake views. White Cross Bay is in a fabulous location, on the shores of Lake Windermere, with views across the water and to the surrounding fells, you are literally in the heart of the Lake District and Ghyll is just a short walk to the water’s edge.
Note: Some facilities on the park are subject to extra cost such as use of the pool, entertainment, bar and restaurant. 500 yards up the main A591 is Brockhole Lake District Visitor Centre, with its gardens, house, café, restaurant, walks, boats, adventure playground and Tree Top Trek: there’s lots to do!
You’re also just two miles from Windermere village with shops, cafes and pubs, and three miles from Bowness boat landings, where the cruisers come in. Bowness is a cosmopolitan village with award-winning restaurants and pubs and quirky shops, a cinema and the World of Beatrix Potter attraction.
