Laird Lodge 1 Reviews

Everything was great we had a blast , would come back again
We really enjoyed our stay. The owners were very friendly and had numerous helpful suggestions about things to see and do in the area. They even managed to arrange glorious sunshine for our whole stay!
Loved every minute of the stay. Very friendly gave us lots of local information on places to see. Lodges were very well thought out and well maintained. Will very likely be back again for another stay.
Loved our stay. Owner was welcoming and helpful and we appreciated the gifts in the fridge. Everything was really well organised, providing a great app that gave a lot of very useful information before we arrived. Very clean, warm and cosy. Nicely decorated inside and clever use of the space. Great hot and powerful shower. Hot tub was great. Self catering is very limited with no oven and a tiny space to make anything so be prepared to eat out more and its definitely more suitable for couples than families. Liked the fact there was a quiet curfew so didnt have to worry about noisy neighbours. Spectacular location with incredible views. Wed definitely return!
We both loved our weekend. Super tranquil. Will definitely be going again
Pauline
The lodge was immaculate and the view from the lodge was astounding watching the sunrise and the sunset
Selina
Lodge was clean, comfortable and exactly as described, everything has been thought of. Hot tub was easy to use and manage. Local walks and pubsrestaurants made it easy to entertain everybody a 9year old child and parents. Definitely recommend and already thinking of when to go back.
Hannah
We loved our stay at Laird Lodges, Angie couldnt have been more accommodating, she came to say hello and chat to us several times and even made a fabulous recommendation for a local restaurant for us to eat at on our wedding anniversary. The dogs were a bonus coming to say hi too, they were lovely! The lodges are beautiful, comfortable, have everything you need and the hot tub is perfect. Beautiful view, beautiful location that forces you to just relax and have a lovely time. We will definitely be back!
Autumn
Pictures really don't show how pretty amazing and breathtakingly beautiful these lodges are until your stood there, tiny details left made it that bit more lovely, owner very down to earth and popped in to let us know about the app that showed scenery walks into town. would 100 stay again!
Louise
We stayed in lodge 1 and we absolutely loved it. The pods are exactly as described and what you see on the photos. Its so lovely to look out at the view as its beautiful. The hosts are so lovely, they dont invade your privacy and when they do come into contact with you their really approachable and friendly. Its a lovely peaceful place to stay.
Being on a working farm never bothered us at all. Owners provided plenty of local information on walks, bars and of course ice cream shop. Plenty of peace and quiet and views to die for.
Stuart
Lovely place to stay and base yourself.
Excellent accommodation would highly recommend. Everything was well thought through.

First time staying in a pod and what a way to start it off. Laird Lodges have set the bar extremely high for any other pod stays for me. We had the most relaxing stay and all because of how good this pod was. An amazing amount of space the pictures dont do it justice. so clean and tidy when we arrived. The bed was extremely comfy. we had the best nights sleep ever. Kitchen had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. Shower pressure was superb. And the hot tub
Amazing stay lovely lodge. Warm and cosy to arrive to with some goodies in the fridge. Thank you so much. We loved the views and hottub. We will be back very soon. Excellent location too!

Both I and my partner really loved staying at the lodge. It was so cozy, clean, and comfortable. The host was so attentive, and friendly and made us feel at home. I loved all of the small details they had added to the pod. There was a speaker for music, bathrobes, and slippers for the hot tub, and even a small bottle of fizz, cheese, crackers, and chocolate! You can see a lot of time, love, and energy had been put into these pods! Highly recommend!
We absolutely loved it. We were looking for a quiet getaway for a few days and this was perfect the lodge had everything we needed and the surroundings were beautiful. The private hot tub was brilliant we were in it every day. The owner, Angela, was lovely and made sure everything was right for us. When our microwave door wouldn't open one evening, Angela turned up the next morning with a NEW microwave! We really did feel well taken care of in every way. We will DEFINITELY be returning!
Kayleigh
Had a fab time at laird lodges. Lovely quaint pods but have everything you need and very comfortable.
We had an amazing stay, the lodges have everything you need for a relaxing few nights away. Hot tub fantastic and with it being under shelter usable in all weathers. Lovely little touches around the lodge given it was Halloween. Beautifully arranged. Will definitely visit again.
Really enjoyed our stay and loved it was on a working farm and not just on a campsite. The views were amazing and the pod was even better than we thought it would be. The whole experience lived up to what we were expecting and more. The hot tub combined with the views was the icing on the cake. We met the owners who were lovely and we were made welcome from day one and would highly recommend staying here. Dave and Elaine, Blackpool.
Stewart
Excellent location with very hospitable hosts. We hope the hosts succeed with the new venture

Kids can run around on the Soft Play Area while mum and dad relax in the Tea Room. There is also a Farm Shop onsite selling toys, gifts and fresh local produce including cakes and jams. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
