We ( 4 work colleagues) , could not have asked for a nicer place to have our weekend away. Jenny made us so welcome and her gin is just amazing! The cottage is so tastefully decorated, well equipped and cosy. The animals on the farm were an absolute added bonus too! We would definitely recommend the 'distillers cottage'.
Ryan
A lovely relaxing place, friendly owners, the gin distillery and shop are open on request and are worth a look. Comfy beds.
Duncan
Lovely cottage and well furnished. Cottage is within easy distance of railway stations for Glasgow and Edinburgh trips. Hot tub was very pleasant and private, used twice a day. The farm shop and distillery are a treat, produce quality is noteworthy. We fed the lambs and really rewarding to help out on the farm.

A lovely and clean cottage, very well equipped. Very peaceful location and good for getting to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. The wagyu beef steaks bought from the shop next door were the best we've ever had and the gin distillery is well worth a visit, could have spent a fortune!!!!

A beautiful property in a stunning part of the Scottish countrywide. We loved stargazing in the hot tub and warming up in front of the log burner after a day of exploring the area - lots to see and do nearby. Beautifully decorated holiday home with brilliant facilities. Well equipped kitchen and living room is bigger than it looks in the pictures. The hot tub is wonderful as is the outside seating area, completely enclosed with a big decking area. The BBQ hut was such a good addition. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a re laxing base to explore the surrounding area or just hang with friends. The shop is packed with goodies and the gins are delicious!
Graham
Nice cottage. Location good for visiting Edinburgh and Glasgow. We also visited New Lanark which was lovely.
David
Perfect location for discovering Edinburgh and Glasgow, plus the falls of Clyde. Secluded site with local shops and takeaway not too far away, you can also feed the donkeys on the farm and have a house cat if you want !! There was a problem with the hot tub when we arrived but it was sorted on the same day, excellent hosts.
Lorraine
We had a lovely long weekend in Distillers Cottage - communication from Jenny in advance of our trip was great and also during. The cottage is a bit of a tardis - a lovely social space leads to the 3 bedrooms, all of which are a good size. And all beautifully decorated. The hot tub and wood fire were such lovely indulgences to have. We planned to u se the BBQ hut but the grill was quite small for the number we needed to feed so decided against it. Loved the farm cat who was very friendly!
Courtney
This stay was even better than imagined! Not far from Glasgow which was amazing for us. Staff were amazing and so helpful. Showed us about the farm and told us about lambing. We even got to take part in a birthing experience with the lambs. Everyone was so kind and we got a bottle of gin that they brew on the farm on arrival for our stay! There wer e 6 girls staying all in and we all spoke about how amazing our stay was and that we would be back again. We are already recommending to friends & fam
Janet
Lovely cottage, well equipped. Nearby village for essentials. Very friendly cat called Nala visited everyday for cuddles. Lovely family, highly recommend it.
Patrick
A beautiful cottage in a lovely rural location. Although the countryside was lovely to walk through (despite the mud), the nearest village of Forth had a couple of shops and was a mile away through fields)was not. The isolated location was great for peace and quiet, the hot tub was fun but the best part was the daily visits of Nala the cat. A sign from the universe that we need cats in our lives. Location meant any day trips were at least 30 minutes drive away, on poorly maintained roads.
Tracy
On arriving at the cottage, we were really impressed with the fact it was decorated to a really high standard & felt really clean & comfy. Jenny couldn't be anymore welcoming & the fact that there is the gin distillery & wee farm shop on site is an added bonus. Nothing was too much trouble, which added to an already great experience away with frien ds. I would highly recommend the cottage.
Gemma
The cottage was just what we were looking for. Loved the decor and fully stocked with everything you could need. Great wee stay for the long weekend.
Michaela
We're a family, two adults and two teens. We absolutely loved everything about it. It was warm, welcoming, cosy and very comfortable for the week. It was the perfect place to spend Christmas with a well equipped kitchen which easily allowed a full xmas meal to be prepared. The log burner was a real treat and added atmosphere. We all enjoyed the Hot Tub especially on Christmas day evening when it started to snow. We ran out of time use the BBQ hut, but we'll use that another time. 5 Stars
Lianne
Beautiful cottage and very clean. We had a lovely relaxing stay. Enjoyed a visit to the shop and sampled their gin. Providing a bottle in the cottage is a lovely extra .
Nuala
Distillers cottage was the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. Jenny and her family including the cats and dogs made us feel so welcome and at home during our stay. The location was ideal as we could explore Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling within in a hours drive to each of the citys. The Gin is gorgeous and the farm shop next door is lovely. We would definitely recommend.
Roselyn

Michelle
Fantastic property, lovely hosts, amazing animals, great location. Couldnt fault the holiday or the accommodation, it was outstanding. A fantastic place to stay and a very warm welcome. The area was beautiful with so much to see both locally, and further afield. I would have no issue recommending this property, and if you like gin youll be in heave n with the array on offer. A truly great place to stay for relaxation, or exploring!
Anna
Great hosts. The cottage is stunning, from the inside-out. The decor is beautiful; its so cosy & comfortable, everything you could possibly need is basically provided for you & the hot tub, bbq hut, & their own (exquisite) gin, are fantastic extras, that really enhance your stay. Bonus points for their 2 inquisitive cats, & the 3 wired haired dachs hunds, who are so adorable & friendly. Theres a co-op nearby, & a large Asda about 15 mins away, to stock up for home cooking. Amazing holiday.
Gemma
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cottage, great location to explore Edinburgh & Glasgow. Everything we needed was available & was extremely comfortable. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.
Suzanne
We had a fantastic week in the cottage, the kids absolutely loved the hot tub, and the visits from the cats and dogs. The cottage is lovely, very comfortable and in a great location for day trips to Glasgow/Edinburgh. We would definitely come back :)
Susan
We stayed at the Distillers Cottage for two weeks. Had a brilliant holiday. The cottage is clean and comfortable. You do need a car to get around but most places we visited Including Edinburgh are only a 30 minute drive. Jennie is friendly and helpful. The dogs, Betty, Lola and Alfie are adorable they greet you when you go out and again when you re turn. The free gin in the cottage was amazing and after a visit to the Distillery we took some home. Altogether a great holiday.
Kevin
Upon arrival we stepped into the most beautiful cottage and felt immediately at home. Everything you could possibly want was there. Beds so comfy, fluffy towels provided. Log burner great for a cosy evening. The most delicious gin on tap Hot tub perfectly situated in the private garden. This is an ideal base to explore the lowlands of Scotland. We have honestly never stayed anywhere this lovely and would highly recommend. Peaceful, perfect and totally relaxing.
Natalie
Great property
Nicola
We were a group of 6 spending 2 nights celebrating a 40th birthday - the cottage was wonderful, beautifully decorated throughout and comfortable, the BBQ hut was a lovely space (though we didn't actually use the BBQ) and the hot tub was amazing. We wished we could have stayed longer! The little touches such as their own gin in the cottage was so lo vely. We thoroughly enjoyed the steak we got from the shop too, so delicious. Jenny was very welcoming.
Elizabeth
An incredible week had by all the family, would 100% recommend.
Martine
The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and well equipped. The addition of BBQ hut and hot tub make it a great weekend spot, however I have to advise there is no light in the bbq hut making cooking dangerous and the chemical levels in the hot tub were clearly far too high, our swimwear & jewellery was ruined & skin irritated. I advised the owne r of this who says all regulation and our fault as in 15min +. My advice is take a torch, old swimwear and please remove any jewellery.
Dawn
Great Value for money, cottage is beautiful inside and out. Will come and stay again
James
A really great stay that we absolutely loved. The property appears newly decorated/furnished, eoth lovely finishing touches and feels very homely. We hope to visit again sometime. It's a great cottage, situated next door to a farm shop and gin distillery, and is well linked to tourist attractions and major cities. Our highlights were the rainfall s hower, log burner and of course the complimentary gin (which is superb). A special mention to the owners who were very friendly and helpful.
Jillian
A beautifully presented cottage that had everything you could possibly need. The owners lived on site and were friendly and welcoming. The hot tub and BBQ hut are a great addition and were both used during our visit. Cottage was very clean and had everything you could possibly need for a weekend away. Fabulous!
Mollie
Fantastic place to stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend. Definitely need a car as the road nearby is not pedestrian friendly for walks. The place also only has one bathroom, not a problem but perhaps something to consider if you're a big group!
Kim
Went for family get together and we were more than happy with the cottage. Jenny made us feel welcome from the start of our weekend till the end . We had a brilliant time in hot tub but didn't use the bbq hut but will definitely use it on our next visit .Thanks again for a wonderful time x
David
Just stayed for five nights here and its a beautiful cottage in a lovely location away from it all, although only a twenty minute walk into local village. A gin dispenser inside with a bottle made in its very own on site wee distillery next door. Hot tub is an excellent bonus. Jenny the owner was there to meet us and very friendly. She lives nearby so is always on hand if needed. Would definitely recommend and we will most likely return as it was close to family who we visited while in Scotland
