A home away from home in a beautiful rural setting. The kitchen has everything you need, there is plenty to keep children entertained on a rainy day and the hot tub is all its talked up to be. Helen and Alex were helpful and accommodating, but the cottage is private and removed from the farm so it feels like your own home. Great place. Beautiful area, spacious property. We felt that there was so much space inside and out. The property had a lovely feel to it. We loved the fabulous hot tub and enjoyed having the farm animals so close. Hosts were very friendly and gave us a great tour of the farm and a chance to meet the animals close up.

Lovely quiet, rural cottage. A good base from which to explore the Machars. Lots of space in the house which is nicely decorated and feels welcoming. Our lovely hosts left us a little welcome basket of goodies and came to check we were settled in OK. While being all on one floor with a level access shower, there are a couple of steps up into the pr operty but these have sturdy hand rails to each side.

We also recommend a visit to Castle Douglas and the Treasure Hunt Treasure Trails. These treasure hunts are great fun for the whole family and are an entertaining way to explore a new town or village. Children will enjoy solving the clues whilst learning about the history of the area. The walking trail is suitable for wheelchair users and those with pushchairs so no one is left out of the fun.
