11 Meadow Retreat Reviews

Rebecca
Absolutely fantastic lodge to get away for a few days! Everything has been thought of to help you settle quickly, just unpack your bags and the holiday begins. If I were to be critical, I would say the mattresses needs replacing as it is very lumpy and has dips. However, this by no means is in any way a negative reflection of the overall lodge, it honestly is a great little treasure!
The property was even better than we thought it might be. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to be able to cook meals. The living space was more than adequate for 2 people and we loved the layout. The hot tub was a lovely luxury after a long day exploring and unlike other lodges weve stayed in the interior was well looked after.
100 recommend, clean and tidy for our arrival, very modern and so cosy. The hot tub was amazing and the area is perfect if you are wanting to explore other places. The reception staff are very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely be returning.
Everything was top notch! We was really happy with our experience at 11 meadow retreat. Everything was super clean and tidy. My girlfriend absolutely loved it and vows to stay here now every time we come down to Cornwall. She can be fussy at times with accommodation but she did not have one bad word to say about your property. I only have one tiny little niggle and some may think its silly but I want to mention it to you only for you to be able to improve all you can. That being the pressure of the shower wasnt the strongest. Although, I understand there is a lot that goes into water pressure and it may not be your fault if you dont have the best provider or your area suffers from poor pressure. However, this didnt affect my stay what so ever, it was just one tiny little thing. We look forward to staying with yourselves again!
Just perfect we will be back soon
The mainstance was non existent when we needed them Stayed got a few hours in ... The mainstance was non existent when we needed them Stayed got a few hours in darkness with no light electric what so ever therefore no hot tub When we tryed to call there was seccuritu man only we could speak too whom did not come to our aids
It was our first holiday in a lodge and we werent disappointed. The location was perfect for the peace and quiet which we wanted. The layout and cleanliness of the lodge was exceptional. Everything was provided and ready to use prior to our arrival. We have already recommended this location to others in our family and friends circle. We will be looking at returning next year. There is one minor point but may be an owners issue, but there was no shade for us to sit in as at one point it became really hot and my wife had to retreat from the hottub and seek refuge back in the lodge. Perhaps a pull out awning or umbrella on the decking near the hottub would help.
It was perfect. Everything in the lodge was well presented and well stocked. We relaxed as soon as we entered the property and looked forward to returning after a long day out and about. The whole complex was beautifully laid out and well maintained.
We stayed here for a week and the whole experience at this site was brilliant. The lodge was clean and tidy for our arrival. Wifi is pretty good for a secluded area and the heatinghot water comes through very quickly Hot tubs are cleaned at topped up daily which is a nice touch.

I have stayed at this accommodation three times before and we have never had any problems before but at our recent stay last week I contacted Charter Oak Reception and left them a voicemail message to contact me reception is not open on a Sunday as we had some loud banging from the lodge which kept us awake on Saturday night. I awaited a phone call first thing on the Monday re the problem but received a courtesy phone call and email in the afternoon instead to ask how our stay was going. I replied to their email explaining what had happened but I got no response. We ended up resolving it our selves and they did not check up on us. Quite disappointing.
Absolutely loved staying here, have and will continue to recommend to friends and family it was the perfect getaway for my partner and mysel, the property had everything we could have wanted in. We would be more than happy to come again.
Very nice Shelf in shower would be helpful More toilet roll More dishwasher tablets Instructions for hot tub Temperature of water was too high for us Didn't find washing machine till last day lol ! All in all though was a lovely chalet would recommend !!

We had a fabulous week, loved the lodge, had everything we needed. Great shower, bed and lovely big TV We particularly loved the outdoor hot tub probably one of the reasons why I chose the lodge after a day walking or cycling it was a real treat to take a dip in the hot tub. Also we were extremely impressed that the hot tub was checked everyday. The Southern Halt site seems extremely well organised and would definitely return, in fact we will probably book number 11 Meadow Retreat again, we loved the large outdoor space decking and although you can see the other lodges you feel very private because of all the bushes and trees. Five star accommodation
This was our first time at these lodges but we'll definitely be back. The lodge was very well equipped with good quality utensils and we even had a nice welcome pack with teacoffee and milk. The location is great for visiting different beaches as it's quite close to the A38 but you wouldn't know as it was really quiet and peaceful. The only negative if I'm forced was they could do with some sort of fan as it got really hot inside despite opening the windows and skylights. We'll definitely visit again.
Everything we needed was in the lodge . Hot tub was amazing . The site was very peaceful which is what we needed . The little box of goodies was unexpected and the pint of milk in the fridge was very thoughtful. Nice little touch in the bathroom was 2 robes.

Booked for our 25th Wedding Anniversary hot tub was perfect for a relaxing weekend and everything was spotlessly clean. Made extra special as we were left a bottle of Prosecco on arrival we will definitely be going back and highly recommend if your thinking of booking.

Absolutely fabulous
What a wonderful cabin. When I arrived it was absolutely pristine. I did spend some days in the cabin and watched a film on the fantastic TV. The hot tub was lovely and so relaxing, I spent a couple of evenings in there and saw a few shooting stars. The facilities in the cabin were excellent. I look forward to returning. If you're thinking about booking this cabin just book, you won't be disappointed. Thankyou for a wonderful holiday.

Lovely contemporary lodge very clean hot tub was fabulous
No washing machine in the facility, which I do not feel is good for 300 per night stay! Check out at 10am, understandably during Covid 19, but that has now passed. Having to strip beds also is not really what I want to do on holiday, Covid 19 is here to live with... not really acceptable. It was OK stay, not worth 300 per night! Hot tub no matter what, was far too hot to sit in, made you feel dizzy!
Lovely property. Thank you.
Absolute perfection! Number 11 Meadow Retreat far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we loved every minute of our stay. Would not hesitate to recommend this lodge to anyone, just wished we lived just a wee bit closer! Would love to return for another wonderfully situated holiday. Thanks to all concerned.
We had a really wonderful stay in this lovely lodge where you couldnt fail to relax. It was so comfortable and immaculate. The hot tub and spa bath was an added bonus. There were numerous places to visit within easy travelling distance. The only small drawback was there wasnt really anywhere that you could walk to for an evening meal, we tried the village pub but although very friendly staff , it didnt meet our expectations for food and was rather tired looking.
