Prepare a meal in the neat, well equipped kitchen before gathering to eat and raise a glass in the formal dining room. At the end of a busy day, choose from eight double bedrooms (one on the ground floor) each with its own ensuite and thoughtfully finished to ensure a good night's sleep.

At the rear of the house is an immaculate garden with patio, bench seating, twin barbecues and an area for playing boules or croquet. There is also a hot tub for you to enjoy on those long summer evenings.

Babbcombe Hall is just a short walk from St Marychurch where you'll find a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants. Also within walking distance are the world renowned model village, two small beaches and the picturesque Babbacombe Downs - the highest clifftop promenade in in England with spectacular views over Lyme Bay - perhaps the ultimate spot to enjoy a traditional fish and chip supper.

A short drive brings you to Torquay town centre where you'll find a good range of shops, cafés, restaurants and leisure facilities, green parks and of course the golden sandy beach. Watersports are easily accessible and the South West Coastal Path is nearby.

Babbacombe Hall Reviews

Fabulous property our second visit. The best equipped holiday home we have ever been to from great welcome package to stock items like washing tablets, dishwasher tablets tea coffee cooking oil plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery too, highly recommend to everybody
It was a lovely house. The actual street address isn't as sexy as Babbacombe Hall but the location is really central to get to a number of lovely places, often on foot. The bedrooms are lovely and all well appointed. I doubt the lounge could really accommodate the whole group if the maximum advertised number was present but we were only 10 or 11 and actually tended to congregate evenings in the dining room. The kitchen is well equipped but the ovens and hob were a bit slow and would lack capacity to prepare meals for a full complement. There isn't much preparation space but we managed very well. We had a professional chef for one evening and brought in the BBQ tables for extra prep space. The house was lovely. I find that Sykes is easy to book with but if you have any out of the ordinary requests, the process is deliberately vague for getting answers.
We immediately felt at home. We are a three generational party who were all very happy with the accommodation. The property was very clean and well equipped. Thoroughly recommended.

Babbacombe Hall is the ideal place for a family holiday. There was a group of 10 of us who stayed there and we all had a great time. There is plenty of space, the games facilities are brilliant for both kids and adults, the hot tub was lovely and the owners think of so much little extras such as towels for the hot tub, buckets and spades for the kids to use, extra games for the kids in the garden etc. The house was spotless inside and out and had everything you needed. It just felt like home for the week. The area is also lovely. Would highly reccomend and would love to return.
Excellent house exceptional facilities and wonderful for the family gathering
Kathleen
The house was amazing, everything you could want. Comfortable and homely. Rooms were perfect and the surrounding area interesting. For a diverse group of friends this was a wonderful holiday location
This is the second time we have had a family holiday at this property with ages from 55 to 85 and there is something for everyone. Lots of places to see public transport to various places but also lots within walking distance. The garden is a pleasant place to chill if you decide not to go sightseeing.

We really appreciated the information we received a few days before the holiday, it helped with our packing and we definitely appreciated knowing there would be tea, coffee and milk waiting for us. They didn't mention the box of chocolate biscuits which was a lovely surprise. The garden and patio were brilliant with a table and benches to seat 16 there were 14 of us aged 75yrs to 14 month's. The summer house was full of chairs , games and toys. The house was excellent. We would recommend it to any large family group.
We had a lovely family holiday at Babbacombe Hall. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped with everything you could need, the hot tub and games room was enjoyed by everyone. Brilliant location within easy walking distance from shops and restaurants and plenty to do in the local area that was just a short drive away as well. Would definitely recommend and return again.

Just come from a joint 60th family holiday of 13 ranging from 9mths to 60 immaculate House all bedrooms very comfortable everything there for large gathering and anything missing owners replaced straight away maybe bit more cupboard space for provisions games room big hit with children like wise the table tennis for adults as well did get competitive! ! But we all improved by end of week only issue was front door bit sticky and no fault of owners wifi hit and miss hot tub a nice welcome after day out maybe a visitors book guest can write comments on local and afar places they have visited and the best take aways which we had a few but thanks for creating wonderful memories would stay again Liz
We have just come home from this amazing place after a big family holiday ranging from 2 two year olds to 2 nearly 90 year olds, The house was immaculate and the gardens had a fabulous hot tub, seating and a bbq . Every bedroom and room in the house were beautifully decorated and very very comfy. For me it was the little touches that made it perfect, every en suite had a bottle of hand wash and enough loo roll for a week, there was bbq coals left for us, games for all ages, tea coffee salt and pepper even cereals to help ourselves too, even 2 kettles in the kitchen , the owners have thought of every to make our stay her perfect, thank you
We were a family of 15 and fitted well into the property. Plenty of room, kitchen well equipped with plenty of everything for our large multiaged family. We brought extra high chairs and cots as only one at the property our group included 3 toddlers. Maybe a larger pan would be helpful when cooking rice or pasta for such a large family. It is well situated with a local Sainsburys and coop just 5 minutes walk away in the Village. Plenty to do in the area both beaches and places to visit. Would happily come again.
Through no fault of the owners the mobile phone reception was not good even when connected to the wifi. Unless it was our phones. Some larger pans would be good as boiling potatoes for 15 took most of the available pans other than that it was a perfect location for shops and things to do and see.

Well equipped and very comfortable
A lovely property, well furnished and stocked with everything you could want. Location is brilliant for all sorts of activities and vists to nearby venues. The owners are very helpful and left us a number of welcoming items when we arrived. We were very lucky with the weather, but for those less fortunate the owners supply lots of different items to amuse people of all ages, ranging from jigsaws to games machines. Has to be one of the best properties we have booked. There were 15 adults 6 no one had a bad word to say about the place. The hot tub was particularly enjoyed by the ladies in the group daily. Unfortunately, this is such a good property that it will no doubt be difficult for us to book again.
We were really pleased with the property. All bedrooms were lovely, good size, all with really nice bathroom facilities. House was very well equipped. We were pleasantly surprised to find hairdryers in each room, although we'd been advised there were none. The hot tub was nice to have and we liked the garden, seemed like a sun trap and sun there until evening. Although there were only a couple of loungers there were plenty of seats. Pleasant walk to town for some of us and good pubsrestaurants by the Downs were nearby, an easy walk.
Property was very clean and comfortable with a bonus of unexpected extras. Would definitely return.

We had a really great family stay at Babbacombe hall. Plenty of room for us all. Made full use of the games area, hot tub and barbecue. Great location plenty of amenities close by.
Kenneth
Great week house is perfect and within walking distance of shops pubs and restaurants
A good venue for us very nice accommodation with shops and pubs only just round the corner. A good private garden with hot tub. Just moments along the road are delightful public gardens. Babbacombe front was only a few minutes walk away. Slightly further away great walking on the coastal path and on Dartmoor. Highly recommended!
Had a very comfortable stay in this lovely house. Having the Hot Tub and garden maintained daily meant it was easy to use either whenever we wanted to and we did. The House had enough equipment for all of us which was great, though a cupboardspace just for storing our food would have been useful. We really enjoyed being so close to the promenade, the Tessier Gardens, the Model village and the shops and having leaflets in the house made it easy to find other places to visit. Having our own parking space was a big relief as we had 3 biggish cars between us and parking is at a premium in seaside towns. I would highly recommend staying here for itself and as a good base for the 'English Riviera'. PS would also recommend the Local History society's free walk round Babbacombe St Marychurch every Tuesday in summer interesting and informative. Thank you
Thierry
A pleasant stay with all facilities provided as expected

We spent a very enjoyable week at Babbacombe Hall. The property was extremely clean and comfortable. It was very well equipped and the hot tub was excellent it was maintained every day by Colin. Position was excellent for walking to shops restaurants and beach. I would highly recommend this property.
Patricia
We had a wonderful week at this lovely property. The facilities are excellent with so many needs catered for. We were a large family group with ages from 2 over 70 and the owner was very prompt at answering a couple of queries prior to departure. We have come away with some wonderful memories.

Excellent property and friendly owners. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. My only criticism would be that the kitchen is so well equipped that there is very little space to store food! Also it would be nice to have your own heating controls rather than relying on the owners switching it on and off.

Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Babbacombe Hall. Lots of fabulous family memories were made here. The house was just beautiful, clean, spacious & contained all necessary items for a large family like ours. Such a well situated place, we didn't have to travel far for our days out. The owners were kind and considerate and I have no hesitation in recommending this property.
The position of the Hall was great for our group of friends some of whom enjoyed walking the coastal footpath, visiting local attractions or going on the sea train. We found the Hall comfortable and eating together at the large table worked out well. Perhaps a couple more larger pans would be good. The welcome pack and other little extras were appreciated. We had a lovely time here.
Monica
Had everything we could have wished for and more! Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and bedrooms lovely ensuites. Kitchen well equipped and the little extras left on arrival were very welcome thank you Only issue related to front door difficult to open sticky keydoor perhaps?
We had a wonderful short break in this beautiful house. Absolutely nothing we could complain about. Made fun memories with our family.
Suited us perfectly, the fully functioning hot tub was a real bonus and the location was excellent, thank you for hosting us!
The house is a fantastic holiday home, it is spacious and well maintained with simple but essential bathroom supplies. The welcome hamper basket was terrific and again kitchen cupboard essentials were provided. The kids enjoyed the games room and the hot tub was used daily! The home is ideally situated for walking to local facilities whilst also great for travelling to surrounding beautiful beaches and harbour towns. We had a fabulous week and will hopefully return!
Everything was exceptional, the extra little touches were lovely. Location is brilliant close to all amenities and close to bus links.
Richard
The owner was very helpful and a good host
