This is the second time we have stayed at the same location. This time in the Diary Barn and under new ownership. On arriving the place was nicely stocked so no immediate need to go shopping. An excellent, spacious and comfortable cottage in a very good location for exploring Exmoor and that part of the Devon coast from Barnstaple to Lynmouth. Plenty of space for two couples and a good outdoor seating area and gas barbeque. The Black Venus pub was only 10 minutes walk and serves excellent food.

We have just got back from a lovely two week stay at Old Dairy Barn, Challacombe. As soon as we arrived at Old Dairy Barn we felt at home, from the delicious Lemon Drizzle cake, which was devoured quite quickly, to the Woolacombe handsoap! Second visit to Old Dairy Barn and had another great stay. The cottage is spotless and in a really lovely spot. We had some great walks from the door out onto the fringes of Exmoor and it is easy to get to the heart of Exmoor from here. Also visited some lovely gardens and, of course, the seaside! A lovely cottage in a great location. Lovely and peaceful. The accommodation is really well equipped and thoughtfully set out. Good size enclosed outside space with large grassed area ideal for the dog. Short walk to the lovely little village and pub. We would definately stay again.

The cottage was clean, well equipped and utterly peaceful. Nice big garden for the dogs to run around and a wider paddock at the back of that for use if you wish. Location is remote, but we wanted that. Would definately stay again.
Claire
We had such a lovely memorable weekend with my sister and our two dogs. The barn was brilliant, very comfortable with two great sized bedrooms, the views from the upper living space are beautiful, perfect location! The Black Venus pub was amazing for a meal, very helpful with our two GSD's. We love the area and would definitely like to stay again.

Our second visit to this lovely cottage. We chose this one for the the quality and the piece and quiet. A real break away , relaxing and comfortable.
Gareth
A lovely cottage with exceptional facilities. Within an easy walk to a very good pub.
Dominic
Well located for exploring the area. Very quiet. Good facilities. Garden needs to be made more secure as my spaniel was able to get out very easily and this meant we were unable to take advantage of the outside space. Be aware the cottage is in middle of game estate and there are birds everywhere including garden which drove my spaniel nuts.
Jennifer
Very comfortable and clean, layout works very well and brilliant for dogs. Well equipped kitchen and ample seating. Lovely Exmoor views although a working farm, so peaceful. Great base to explore this region. Best to get an online grocery delivery as the little shop is limited and its about 1/2hr drive to supermarkets
Gerry
Very well laid out and nice dog friendly garden with good views.

Fantastic property, well renovated and designed, well all facilities and equipment which could be desired. Very quiet and peaceful and about 20 mins from most attractions in the areas. Property also appeared professionally cleaned which was great.

Beautiful cottage in a very quiet, rural setting.
