Prixford Barn Reviews

Emma
We really appreciated the peaceful rural setting and the convenience of everything being on one level. That said, some areas could use a bit of sprucing upand the bed definitely needs a new mattress - it was quite uncomfortable. Still, we enjoyed our stay!
Emma
Overall, we had a lovely stay! The place was fantastic, but the access to the barn is a bit tricky with a steep turn. Also, the garden isn’t directly accessible from the cottage - it’s at the back. No dog walk right from the door either, but we didn’t mind since we were out all day. Still, would stay again!
Emma
We stayed in this charming converted barn, nestled in a quiet spot perfect for relaxing. The secure garden was a hit with our dogsand the hot tub offered lovely views - though it did have some bits that kept falling off, so it could do with a bit of fixing up. The place is quite basic but has everything you need, though it’s a bit tired-looking and could use some TLC. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable, leaving us with achy backsand more towels would have been handy since we only had one each for the week. Still, a nice peaceful getaway!
Alex
We loved the peaceful setting and easy drives to Croyde and Woolacombe. The WiFi was reliable, the kitchen well-equippedand the sofa super comfy. Just minor hot tub issues, but nothing major.
Lauren
We had a fantastic long weekend at the barn! The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Liz and Eric were lovely, even dropping by with fresh eggs from their chickens - such a nice touch. The hot tub was a real highlight, offering stunning views while we unwound. We’re already looking forward to coming back. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely property with us - it truly made our escape special!
Emma
We had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage! The kitchen was well equipped, making it easy to cook meals. The hot tub was a real highlight, especially when we braved the rain and wind-it was surprisingly relaxing. The driveway is quite steep and narrow, so be prepared if you’re driving a bigger car. Just a heads up for dog lovers: there are three farm dogs outside, which might not suit everyone, especially if your dogs aren’t friendly with other animals. Overall, a charming spot with some quirks, but we’d definitely return!
James
Great spot, cosy place, would stay again for sure!
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely farm and barn. The setting is stunning and super peaceful, perfect for a relaxing break. The hot tub was definitely a highlight-so relaxing after a day out. The place was warm, cosyand well-equipped, especially with the wood burner flickering away. Parking was a bit tricky since you have to leave the car at the bottom and walk up, which can get muddy in the rain-just something to bear in mind. A few small touches, like a toilet roll holder and a bit more thorough cleaning, would make it even better. Overall though, we had a great time and were quite sad to leave!
Emma
Really enjoyed staying here. It’s a tranquil spot to unwindand the location made exploring Devon’s sights super easy for us.
Alex
We loved the cosy cottage, very clean and perfect for our little trip. The lane was a bit tight, so smaller car was a must!
Emma
We had a lovely stay! The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a real treat after a busy day exploring. The only thing we’d suggest is getting bigger bath towels - the small ones are a bit tricky. Also, the garden could do with a trim, as the grass was quite long. Still, great location for beaches and towns!
Mark
Really enjoyed our stay! The peaceful spot, cosy bedand the luxury Velux windows made it special. Spotting the horses was a lovely surprise. Just watch out for the super narrow entrance - it’s quite tricky to get through!
Emma
We loved how cosy and airy the barn was, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The hot tub was spotless and really fun. The peaceful location and nearby activities made it perfect for us.
James
We had a great stay at this cosy cottage, perfect for exploring North Devon and Cornwall. The enclosed garden was a big plus for our dogand there are plenty of lovely walks right from the door. The kitchen was well-stockedand we enjoyed relaxing on the comfy sofa by the log burner in the evenings. The smart TV with Sky meant we could catch up on Netflix easily. Parking at the front of the farm is best if you have a larger vehicle. Honestly, we’d come back in a heartbeat!

We had a lovely stay! The location was spot on, close to beaches and the town. It was peacefuland the farm animals added a nice touch. We’d definitely return!
Emma
Beautiful spot, really peaceful, spotlessand great facilities too! Quite enjoyed it.
Emma
We decided to stay at Prixford Barn last minute after cancelling our Spain tripand it turned out to be a lovely choice. The location is perfect for exploring North Devonand our two dogs felt right at home. The owners, especially Eric, were super helpful-he even helped remove a tick from one of our pups! The hot tub was a highlight, especially since it was in a secure garden, so the dogs could join us while we unwound. Definitely recommend!
Alex
We loved how perfect the size was for us and our two little dogs. The interior was really stylish and modern, especially the furniture, kitchenand bathroom. The wood flooring was a big plus-easy to keep clean with dogs around. The best part? That small dog-proof garden-so handy for letting them out in the mornings without worries. Definitely recommended!
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay at Prixford Barn. The location is perfect for exploring North Devon - peaceful and quiet. A couple of small touches like a coat hook and a mirror in the bedroom would make it even better. Also, trimming back the foliage on the windows would help let in more light. Nice place overall!
Sam
Honestly, we found the Felt Barn quite underwhelming for what we paid. It’s pretty basic, not very comfyand the lack of mirrors (besides in the bathroom) was a pain. No storage for food or enough hanging space for clothes either. The garden furniture’s a bit rusty and smalland the bushes outside need trimming. Not the best experience.
