Wrafton House Reviews

Timothy
Our group of eight adults had a lovely stay. The home was convenient for a wedding that was a 10-minute drive away. The garden and hot tub were nice and secluded, as the home was at the end of the row. The facilities were all great, which made for a comfortable stay. As our only request, we had asked for the twin beds to be zip-and-linked together Read moreso were disappointed this was not done. Minor issues included the WiFi not working as it had reached its device capacity. Hide
Anne
Lovely spacious , comfortable cottage, close to the Tarka trail. The beds were comfortable and the property was fenced all round making it lovely and secure for the dog,. The property was perfect for our needs but required a little bit of TLC., which did not distract from the overall experience. I would return any time to this property.
Julie
Lovely property, well equipped and in good location for local beaches and Tarka trail. It is in need of some TlC which would improve its appeal. No bbq which was disappointing. Hot tub well maintained and cleaned.
Josephine
We had a relaxing time at the house and it is a really good base for a lot of beaches in the area.
Janette
Lovely property and beautiful location. Cleaning could be improved. Close to amenities and ideal for beaches. Would stay here again.
Michael
General housekeeping needs to improve , but all in all a very good accommodation
Tracey
The house was large with great facilities for our family. Good location too.
Katy
This is a lovely holiday home. We noticed some wear and tear; however, with a bit more attention, it could easily be a five star destination.
michael
Stunning property in a great peaceful location. Ideal for walks along the tarka trail, and a great base for exploring north devon.
Andrew
The house is excellent, well equipped, plenty of room. Our grandchildren enjoyed the table tennis room and the hot tub. There is plenty to do and see in the surrounding area.
Susan
Cottage was lovely , well equipped and had everything we needed. Excellent location for discovering the area and Braunton itself is a lovely village. Hot tub was an excellent extra and the games room as well. Lovely secure, quiet area and a very secure garden for the dog. Would highly recommend.
Christopher
Lovely accommodation and ideal location to explore North Devon. Some of the instructions in the booklet need updating or further explanation e.g. the refuse and recycling (there is a mention of a brown sack for tins/plastic in the shed) there is no shed.?
Melanie
The house is very nice. In a good location for the beaches and the pub. As it was winter, we obviously spent more time in the house. This meant that we noticed issues more. The heating didnt work for the first 24 hours, but there did send someone around to sort out a temporary fix. The showers in all bathrooms were barely a trickle, we did ask abouRead moret this but it wasnt dealt with. The house overlooks a military airbase, not noisy for us but worth mentioning! Overall, good but needs tweaking! Hide
Chris
Lovely house with easy access to excellent dog friendly pub at end of lane. Games room and hot tub enjoyed by the family.
Helen
Just returned from a fantastic week (four generations of family). A lovely house in an excellent location. The garden, games room and hot tub all added to the holiday experience. The property managers were excellent, responding quickly to a couple of problems. A great location for visiting the many lovely local coastal towns. Restaurants and shops are also easily accessible. The Tarka Trail running in front of the property was excellent for dog walks.
Claire
Beautiful house in a fantastic location with great facilities! I didnt want to leave. Even though its situated right on the sw coast path and tarka trail, we parked and hired bikes at Barnstaple train station and cycled to Instow and back, stopping at the Fremington Quay cafe for refreshments. Bideford is an extra 3 miles. Within walking distance i s the Quay cafe and the Williams Arms pub which are both dog friendly and worth a visit. Great dog friendly beaches are just a short drive.
Deborah
We had a lovely stay at Wrafton house, great location short drive to Saunton beach great day out, lots of local pubs and a supermarket close by. The house has everything you need, we had a great time.
Deborah
Lovely spacious house . Clean and tidy and great lighting effects. The fans in the bedrooms were great as it was very hot when we went. Tarka trail for cycling enthusiasts was good and the right hand route took you to Tescos. Very handy for picking up extras. Also the Williams Arms pub , within a short walk , was great for adults and children. Open all day and good selection of food. There is a buzzing sound from a nearby factory , but it was not intrusive. Evenings in the garden were lovely.
Sharon
A fantastic property easy to reach all the popular destinations like clovelly woolacombe rhs rosemoor .
chris
Fantastic place to stay with family, we took our grown up children and my wife's parents, and we all had an amazing stay, the bedrooms are very comfortable, bathrooms modern, competition to sit on the chair on the landing, the kitchen is excellent and well equipped, every room is spacious and comfortable, didn't feel cramped in anyway, plenty of pl aces to relax with others or on your own, cool lights, garden is nice with hot tub, Ilfracombe boat trip, Saunton Sands & Barnstable super visits,
Sophie
I absolutely loved Wrafton house! It was the perfect place for our border collie who needs a lot of exercise. It backed on to the tarka trail, so we could walked down to the Quay cafe in the morning and Heaton Court pub in the evening. The Williams arms is a must. The place felt so luxurious we had some days where we stayed in and enjoyed the facil ities. The house felt so comfortable! The kitchen was very well stocked. They really went all out and I'm desperate to go back next year!
Linda
We loved the house , what more can I say !
Jane
House was lovely but needs some TLC and maintenance - the cleanliness could have been better especially on taps and skirting boards. Location is ok if you have a car as there is nothing locally to see or do in the evenings apart from the local pub.
Michelle
Beautiful house, lovely location
Ellie
Stayed here for a girls night away, and we couldnt fault it, it was very clean and modern and had everything we needed and more! Would definitely stay again

5 We had good weather while staying at Wrafton House so made full use of the fabulous garden space and hot tub which was a hit with all 3 generations. The house was amazing and gave us plenty of space to relax without being under each others feet. The location is brilliant for beaches just a short drive away, with the added bonus of a local p ub and Tesco within walking distance. The little extras were lovely, just a perfect stay in a perfect house highly recommend.
Scott
We had such a lovely stay at Wrafton House and would definitely recommend. Louise + team did a sterling job of making us feel welcome when we arrived and little extras like snacks & dog treats were appreciated as you don't always get that type of service any longer. The house itself was immaculate, with our children making full use of the garden an d games room along with the whole family utilising the hot tub on several occasions. The location of the property was perfect for trips across Devon
ROBIN
Had a great time, would recommend to everyone.
Steven
A beautiful house in a great location and it had everything you could want, ideal for a 3 generation family group. The outside space was great and we made full use of the garden, the hot tub, the games room and the gazebo. Thank you for the great welcome pack! We had a wonderful holiday and the weather was lovely too!
Stephen
Wrafton House is a fabulous holiday property. Our party spanned 3 generations, the hot tub and games room were excellent on cloudy days. The house is close to all of Brauntons local amenities and the Tarka Trail runs adjacent to the property and was excellent for an evening stroll. The house was spotlessly clean.
Glenis
The three generations of our family enjoyed a lovely week at Wrafton House. It was immaculately clean and very well equipped providing everything one could possibly need and more. All that was missing were a few more coat hangers and instructions for all the electricals. Louise, the housekeeper was very helpful. We enjoyed exploring this beautiful area and some of the gorgeous nearby beaches and because the weather was kind, were also able to make good use of the lovely garden.
Jacqui
Lovely house! Clean, comfortable, modern and spacious. Williams Arms pub is a 5 minute walk away and serves delicious food!
Carol
We loved the house. It had everything we could want. Easily parked 4 estate cars in the drive. Hot tub was well used and enjoyed as was the table tennis. Location was great for lots of walks along the Tarka trail and down to crows point ( 2 miles).
Peter
Fantastic property in an ideal location. Louise was very helpful with our queries and dealt quickly with a small problem with the hot tub. All our family members from 16 yr old to 73 yr old and the dog, had a great time. Plenty of room in the house and in the garden for everyone. The hot tub and table tennis were appreciated and made the holiday ev en more enjoyable. Would definitely book the property again for this area.
