Medieval Farmhouse Reviews

This was the most magical medieval cottage. It truly was well equipped and furnished to a very high standard. It was spotless, with excellent facilities. Extra touches for arrival and a warm hot tub and plenty of logs for the fire pit and log warmer. The cottage was warm and cosy and very comfortable. The garden was safe for my dog and gated. The cottage was wonderful and well equipped for our stay of 6 adults, 2 toddlers and 2 dogs. The cottage is in a lovely secure garden with extensive views over the fields and mountains. The games room and hot tub added that extra special touches

Lovely farmhouse in beautiful location. Great hosts who sorted out a minor problem successfully even though it was at 10.30 pm at night!

Lovely lovely location and character property. Nicely decorated and all mod cons. Watch your head on the medieval door frames!

This property was perfect, is in an excellent location for exploring north wales, we had a great time thank you
Feisal
Beautiful character cottage with some very low doorways. The family group of nine thoroughly enjoyed our week here. Excellent location near to a big range of attractions in the area.. Hot tub great. Beautiful scenery. Owners made a lot of effort to ensure that we had what we needed. Narrow steep single track roads up to the cottage.
Anthony
Fantastic holiday home, a credit to the owners
Ali
Such a beautiful property in idyllic surroundings. Perfectly set up with hot tub, bbq and games room - not to mention the fab fire pit. Our Labrador was so happy and loved surveying his surroundings .
Rebecca
The place was great! A great location and exactly as described. Everything was ready for us on arrival. Very well equipped - BBQ and hot tub were particularly good.
Kimberley
Absolutely stunning farmhouse. Kitchen was fully equipped, cupboard full of games, shelves full of books. Beds were very comfortable. More than enough room for our group of 8, never felt on top of each other. Games room and hot tub really added to the break. Being so remote and surrounded by the animals was magical.
Vian
It has everything for a brilliant holiday
Jennifer
Peaceful and beautiful surroundings and a well equipped comfortable cottage. Our second stay here and we will happily return. Enjoyed the hottub and wood burning fire and found the two dining areas great for our purposes - one to eat at and one to play board games. Lovely property, very well located for Snowdon. Love that there is a hot tub to unwind in after a days walking and a games room for entertainment. Very good value, would love to stay again.

We had an absolutely fantastic week. The property is beautiful, really comfortable and has an amazing view particularly from the hot tub and over a cup of morning coffee in the breakfast room. We went as 2 families, the pool table and table football gave us many hours of fun. Brilliantly equipped (even a hand blender for whipped cream!). This was a fantastic location, with everything you could need for a getaway. The area is beautifully scenic and truly peaceful. The cottage is spacious, as we were 6 (2 couples and 2 singles) and we always had room and personal space if we needed it. It was clean, spacious and cozy in the evenings with the log fire. We were lucky to have a 21 degreRead moree day in October, so got to use the hot tub and enjoy the views from it. We will rent again and looking forward to the next trip. Hide

Lovely holiday. And cottage had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend. Thank you
Kim
We had a fantastic holiday, absolutely loved the accommodation, it was spacious clean & everything was provided ie cleaning products and condiments, even tea and milk for our arrival. The hot tub and games room was a hit, the location staying within the grounds of the farm was beautiful ..
Diane
We had a lovely stay enjoyed the beautiful countryside and the cottage is very well equipped.
Kali
We stayed at the cottage in August and absolutely loved it. Location was idyllic, the views were stunning and there are some walks direct from the house which was handy for early morning dog walks. The hot tub was a great addition, particularly after long mountain walks. We had the best sleep with the lack of street noise and artificial light. The house was well equipped for a self-catering holiday (although we brought our own air fryer and coffee machine for extra luxury!). Highly recommend!
Alistair
Property was as fine as expected given the location and history. The modern touches of a games room and hot tub were really nice touches. Generally the property is lovely, perfectly located and close enough to facilities at Llanwrst and Betws y coed but equally far enough away. You feel rural but know that eateries and shops are just a short drive away. Would definitely stay again.
Emily
We had a lovely stay at this cottage as a group of 6 (3 couples). The cottage was clean welcoming and in a great location for activities such as snowdon, kyaking, Llandudno and nearby activities. Our advice is mind your head! Some of the doorways are very low and as a group with 2 over 6ft2 it was a bit dangerous at times even for us 5ft 6 girls. O verall a lovely well equipt property. We loved the hot tub and games room, there was something for everyone! Thank you so much !!!
Darren
We had a brilliant time at the cottage. It is well placed for the activities we were doing in the Snowdon area, and we loved the fact that the cottage felt so private. The surroundings were spectacular, and it was lovely to be greeted by sheep and horses. The games room was fantastic, as was the hot tub. Just watch your head on some of those old do orways!
Jessica
Absolutely loved our stay, we were so sad to leave! Stunning location, so peaceful. Perfect place to relax after long days in Snowdonia. The nicest place I have stayed in Wales without doubt!
Claire
This cottage was fabulous. Comfy, spacious, & very well equipped. Beds & pillows were great too. We loved the hot tub. Grounds were great for the dogs, as lots of space & enclosed. Location wise it is well off the beaten track, but about a 10 minute drive to Betws-y-coed. However, the tranquilty & views were so worth it. We had a lovely late night chatting in the hot tub without worrying about neighbours. The games room is fab too, although not accessed via main building.
Laura
Beautiful cottage in a wonderfully peaceful and secluded location. We made excellent use of the hot tub both during the day and on an evening, and most things were provided for in the cottage. Would certainly consider staying here again in the future.
Elizabeth
The farmhouse was perfect in every way, very comfortable and well equipped. Plenty of space for a group of 9 with a choice of sitting areas inside and out. The evenings were entertaining in the games room and hottub. The location was idyllic with only the sounds of nature and the views were breath taken. A week here just wasn't long enough!
Shirley
Lovely farmhouse, perfect for 9. Made good use of hot tub and games room, despite the weather. The house was very warm, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Perfect secluded location. Would love to come again in the summer months.
Deborah
Fabulous weekend, stunning location with beautiful views especially with the snow. Enjoyed the hot tub and games room, lovely fire place in the living room and comfortable bedrooms. A couple of our friends are very tall and struggled with some of the low beams and doorways but its all part of the character of the farmhouse. I would definitely recom mend this property and would stay here again.
Daniel
Absolutely stunning and loved every second of it will definitely be going back
Justin
Stayed here with my family for my husbands 50th birthday if only had 1 word to say it would be wow its absolutely beautiful the house its self its surroundings everything there is nothing to say negative about this place it was spotless comfortable an so warm an cosy the perfect place an location exactly what we was after to spend much needed famil y time together
Andrew
Lovely cottage very cosy just watch your head. It's a medieval building with low beams which certainly adds to its character. Another plus side is the hot tub which us a very nice feature.
Rebecca
Stayed at this property for a 40th birthday with family. Lovely big house with plenty of rooms and amenities. It would have benefited from a larger TV in the living room with Netflix. Very remote which is good if you like the peace and quiet. Hot tub was great but could have been ideal under a covered lean-to with patio heaters as it was cold getti ng in and out and going back in the house. Can imagine it would be amazing on a hot summers day. Loads of amenities in the house.
Nikki
We loved our stay! The house was beautiful and decorated to a high standard. It was well equipped with everything you might need for you stay. The owners were absolutely lovely and very helpful. We reported a wasp nest and they attended the same day to deal with it. The location is ideal for exploring Snowdonia and surrounding area, although it is secluded (which we loved) My grandson loved seeing the horses and cows in the adjoining fields. I would definitely return!!
Julie
This was our third stay here. It didnt disappoint. Its a fabulous cottage, clean, comfy and very well equipped. Its location is brilliant, so quiet and peaceful. Will definitely be going back.
Lisa
We have just returned from the medieval farmhouse we had a great time ( 4 adults and 1 teenager ) used all the facilities - hot tub, games room, sun deck, outside dining, bbq. Weather was fabulous. Farmhouse fitted with everything you need, nicely furnished bedrooms and bathrooms. Lots to do in the local area - Surf Snowdonia, Zipworld Fforest. Con wy, Llandudno. Ffestiniog railway etc.
Heather
This is the second time we have stayed at the property and we were not disappointed again! A beautifully presented home with perfect facilities for young and old! Comfy beds and a lovely living area to relax and spend time with a big group of people with a super comfy couch! Would recommend here to anyone with a large group of people (family or fri ends) to relax and unwind but with also plenty of things to do in the area for those who like to keep busy! Great for dogs too!
Michelle
Excellent location to get away and relax. Great walking base for us and 4-legged friends! We all loved our stay here. House was clean and spacious. The younger ones enjoyed the games room and the hot tub was super. Recommend visiting Conwy (Elizabethan house and castle walls very interesting), circular walks in Beddgelert Forest and from Trefriw, L landudno pier and Great Orme re nice. The young adults enjoyed ZipForest, bounce underground and quarry carting.
