Well equipped property with all one needed. Well located for walks on the doorstep, walks in the Wolds or visits to the coast. Owners on site and helpful, walking the field margins of their farm was very useful.
David
Peaceful relaxing break, in a great cottage and location, will definitely be looking to return.
Tim
Great accommodation, we stayed as a family of 6 (two kids, two adults and two grandparents) for a long weekend. We had a lovely welcome pack when we arrived and everything we needed for a weekend. There is lots of outdoor space to use and a secure area if you are bringing along a 4-legged friend. We did a long walk from our accommodation using the public footpaths and the views are amazing. The only downside is there is no pub within walking distance.... but we knew that before booking.
Carol
This cottage was very comfortable and very well equipped, a lovely quiet location but within easy reach of the coast and great countryside walks. We were made to feel welcome and a very nice hamper with treats to eat.
Jonathan
First class property and brilliant hosts - great communication and left you to get on with your holiday.
Helen
The cottage was immaculate and very well equipped. Only thing we needed to take was food and drink. Great enclosed spaces for our dog and lovely walks. Beautifully quiet location. Comfy and cosy with underfloor heating and a log burner. Highly recommend this fantastic cottage with a great host, on hand if needed but not invasive.
Shanaka

Owner very friendly and provided us with plenty of information before and during our stay. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Thanks again for a fab time.

This is a wonderful place to stay in The Lincolnshire Wolds. Really peaceful location, but near to amenities in Alford. The owners were attentive and friendly, but not intrusive. Lincoln isn't too far away, and there are plenty of fun things to do nearby! We loved staying here.
Doreen
This is a very comfortable and well equipped cottage. It is suitable for all ages with plenty of toys and games for children. The bathrooms were excellent and the kiddie seats on the lavatories much appreciated. There is plenty of space for storage and the boot and utility rooms are exceedingly There is adequate space outside for sitting and playing . the location is excellent - whilst being on a quiet country lane it is easy to get to the nearest town and to any places in east Lincolnshire.

The Stables is a beautiful property in a most convenient location. The information sent to us by the owners prior to the visit allowed us to plan where we wanted to visit and eat during our stay. The property is a real home from home and is very tastefully decorated. It has everything you could possibly need to make your stay as comfortable as poss ible. I would highly recommend staying in The Stables if you are thinking of exploring this part of Lincolnshire, which I would also recommend!

The Stables is well equipped, stylish, clean and spacious. The beds are super comfy. Both Barbara and Paul were welcoming and great hosts. The location is perfect. We visited the surrounding market towns of Louth and Horncastle, Moggs Eye beach (perfect for dogs),Tattershall castle and Gunby Hall all within a short car ride away. We even managed to fit in a twilight spa at Evergreen Spa Kenwick which was superb. All in all would highly recommend this property. Would love to return next year .
Rachel

Dawn
Beautiful cottage in an ideal location. Great for local walks and scenery. Excellent idea by owners to send all information beforehand. Owners were brilliant and accommodating. Mollie, our dog especially liked the exercise field behind the cottage. Would highly recommend this cottage, very relaxing and tranquil.
John
Beautifully converted farm building in a great, quiet location. It's surrounded by rights of way but you can also walk around the fields of the owner's family farm. It's extremely dog friendly, even having special flooring by Floors for Paws. We were a last minute booking after the owner of the cottage we'd booked cancelled at 24hrs notice. The Sta bles' owner, Paul, responded quickly , discounted the price and sent details about the cottage and its location as soon as the booking was made.
Paul
The stables is a wonderfully renovated property with everything that we needed. As it is all on one level and fully accessible it is great for anyone with mobility issues. The owners gave us a great welcome and we're most helpful. The area where the cottage is is beautiful and great for walking, biking, beaching and is very beautiful.
Robert

We all loved staying at The Stables. The accommodation was spotless, well equipped and in a great location. Dog enjoyed playing fetch on the large lawn and walks around the edge of the owner's fields. Would definitely like to stay again.
Lynda
Super spacious accommodation with a cosy woodburner. Perfect for small family groups with dogs. We liked the courtyard off the bedroom. There's a fenced grass area to the front. Kids made use of the firepit. Lots of public footpaths to wander through. Rigsby woods nice. There's a co-op in Alford for shopping. We weren't sure what to bring, but tea towels and hand soap and washing up liquid were provided, also some foil, clingfilm nice plum cake and milk on arrival (no tea/coffee). :)
Douglas
Great cottage, in a superb location for walking and not too far from several Bird Watching sites. We would highly recommend
Kirsty
The Stables is faultless. We had the best week here with our two dogs. Its cosy, bright and homely set in the most beautiful backdrop of the farm, fields and trees. There is a pub, shops and market within a 40 minute walk through the fields or a 3 minute drive away. The coast is easy to get to and worth a trip. There are many little villages and to wns to visit. Paul and his family were fantastic hosts with great communication, lovely manners, super friendly and helpful. See you all next year.
Ami

Fantastic cottage in a beautiful location. The Stables is well equipped, warm and spotlessly clean. It was a lovely place to relax in front of the fire and rest. The owners are friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The location is great to explore the coastal area and we visited lots of beaches with our dog. I would recommend Donna Nook wh ere we saw baby seals and Chapel Point St Leonard's which has a great cafe.

A very well appointed comfortable cottage - ideal for dog owners. The owners were friendly without being too 'in your face'. The location is quiet but close to facilities in Alford and, a little further away, Louth, Vert good local walks and cycle routes on the doorstep. Highly recommended!!

Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 9 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 11 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Pleasure Island - DN35 0PL
about 20 Miles
Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.
The Jungle Zoo - NR31 9EY
about 20 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
