Had a really lovely week at Little Hoots with our 2 dogs. Went to Stapleford Woods most days ( 7 min drive), which was lovely). Nick, the owner, told us about a dog walk which we didnt need to drive to just past the car park of The Plough pub (on the opposite side of the road), is a public footpath which leads to a nice big field.. perfect for a moRead morerning dog walk when you dont want to drive! We also had a great day out at Burnt Stump country park which has a great dog walk and a great pub! Hide

The property is in a handy spot for visiting many interesting places. It's also very peaceful in location and you can get excellent takeaways from the local pub a couple of minutes away! A good place for a break away.

Lovely cottage, good location. Clean and comfortable. Ideal for 2 people and possibly 2 children but not so good for 4 adults. Not enough comfortable seating and one of the seats at the table was a bench. As there was only 2 of us this was not a problem and we would be happy to return again.
Tracy
Beautifully designed cottage, finished to a high standard throughout. Supplied with everything you could need. Garden looked out onto a field housing horses making it feel very private. A luxurious hot tub was supplied. The owner recommended two local pubs, both within 5 minutes walking distance, which are excellent. The cottage is local to many atRead moretractions, a selection of ideas are supplied, & all were easy to get to. Also close to a few dog walks. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. Hide

Fantastic and friendly owner. we received a welcome pack on entering the property, every thing was fantastic, both bedrooms had ensuite , which was definitely appreciated by my daughter, also a television. Great local pubs, who do take outs which i must admit we used most nights had a barbecue on a lovely and sunny day, loved waking up to the soundRead more of sheep and the two horses that were in the field not far from the property. Great holiday would definitely recommend . Hide

The perfect getaway. Cottage was so clean, homely, and felt brand new. Would live there if we could! A nice touch was a bottle of milk, juice, bread, and doughnuts waiting for us on arrival. 2 Pubs in the village which both serve excellent food and beer.
Kirsten

We had a very enjoyable stay, the welcome hamper when we arrived was a nice little extra. The accommodation is very clean and well presented. You have everything you need for a wonderful stay. We had a couple of nice days out as perfectly situated close to main routes to get about and when returned was nice to have a soak in the hot tub. It was gre at sitting out with my morning coffee watching the horse in the next field. Local pub did a fantastic Sunday lunch and is very dog friendly.

A wonderful place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. We enjoyed hearing the birdsong and also watching the rabbits and hares scampering across the neighbouring field. Within a short drive away were Barnsdale Gardens, Burghley, Belton House and The Great Central Railway. Thank you so much for the lovely welcome pack of local goodies - much appreciated!

A fabulous little cottage. Plenty big enough with all the equipment needed and feels soooo cozy. Hot tub was fabulous even though it snowed when we were there! Loved being near all the wildlife and animals. My dog made friends with the horses backing onto the property with the horse owners permission. Plenty of lovely walks and days out within a ma x of 30mins drive. We particularly liked Rufford Abbey. Stapleford woods close by for woodland walks with our dog. 2 pubs in the village.
Clare
Wonderful accommodation, everything you need. Very clean. Wonderful welcome pack to arrive too. Kitchen equipped very well, all those small things like oil to cook with, washing up liquid, tablets for the dishwasher etc. Two village pubs, welcoming and dog friendly, both do food. Dog walks straight from the accommodation that are good but Staplefor d woods a few mins drive away well worth a visit. Newark a ten min drive away, Lincoln just 25 mins, great place Highly recommended !
Stephanie
Unfortunately, we had to leave early because my husband suffered a medical emergency with his eye but the two nights we spent at the cottage were very comfortable and it was beautifully warm and clean.
Jenni
The photos of this cottage do not do it the justice it deserves. The place is amazing, so clean, well equipped with homely touches. The location is beautiful, with horses and ducks for neighbours. The owner was very helpful but left us in peace to enjoy the relaxing environment. The hot tub was well looked after and a great way to end the evening s tar gazing. We took our dog and there were so many dog friendly places and lovely walks, the doggy shower was amazing.
Sandra
Beautiful cottage in great location. Lots of places to walk with dogs within 5 mins stroll. Both pubs in village were very welcoming and dog friendly especially when eating. Would definitely stay here again.
Helen

Would highly recommend.
